People claim that they love Jesus, but yet, it's like no one actually listened to him. "You have heard that it was said, "Love your neighbor and hate your enemy." But I tell you: Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you" - Matt 5:43-44
"Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God" - Matt 5:9
"If you love those who love you, what reward will you get? Are not even the tax collectors doing that? 47 And if you greet only your own people, what are you doing more than others? Do not even pagans do that? 48 Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect." Matt 5:46

I could just go on forever.

I just don't know how to reconcile the fact that so many people in this country are ridiculous hypocrites. I try to love them. I try to forgive. But I feel like I've got to hold people accountable. These evangelical Christians need to STOP denigrating the word of Jesus, they need to stop treating Jesus himself as something to be obeyed only when they WANT to obey him. When I was not a Christian, it was funny to me that these people were so clearly disobeying their own religion. Now that I have become a Christian, it is actually horrifying, that anyone could label themselves a follower of Christ and do blatantly the opposite of what Christ said. Especially when it comes at the cost of the lives of thousands of people.

Christians do NOT glorify death in any way. These Christians are Satanists at heart.

Not watching the debate and watching the clips on this means what?
Did not know you hold the final say in who can and can't comment.

I like the thought of getting rid of your enemies.

Evidently Andew Jackson's enemies weren't only the British, but indians who opposed the encroaching white man. Hence the battle of the red sticks.

White man kills anyone he wants and who doesn't agree with his agenda.

Disgusting isn't even an adequate word that covers it.

The war mongering by the candidates is truly frightening.

Hey macman, what does that say under your avitar " options are nice to have"?
I really don't think you believe that.
Anyone ever tell you , you would make a great cop ?
Yah, I can see you now in a black jump suit in riot gear smashing heads with your baton smiling and drooling as you feed your hunger for war.
You painted yourself into this corner.

Options in the Avatar is firearm related.
M4 in .223 is nice, but so is the M14 in 308.

Already did the cop thing.
Got old real quick.
I also had less physical altercations then 90% of the officers in the state I was a LEO in.

So, the drooling comment is nice for comic books, and knee jerk reactions of a Liberal.
Towards me? It really holds no water.
Nice try though.
You almost had me teary eyed.

The president can kill American citizens; whomever he says is an enemy.

What people here don't realize is that if you oppose the Fed, the New World Order, the UN, if you oppose terrorism, illegal wars, or the greed of the 1% then you are the enemy of an out of control fascist like state.

Those poor brainwashed people are cheering for your and my death.

There is no God punishing evil. Therefor, there can be no God.

The UN and World Court is not even stopping evil. They're ganged together to get the last of the oil. Kill who needs to be killed to get it.

Yep, because it only applies to the Evil White Man.
This guy
doesn't even come close enough to the eye roll that your reply deserves.
Please, go and learn of the atrocities being committed by native people in Africa and the ME to each other.
War Mongering in this debate is a lot less then the actions currently being done under 0bama.
So, with that said.......................................................

Regret in taking the life of someone that means to harm you is not in my wheel house.
Nor remorse for that person(s) either.
Would I find joy in revenge?
Yeah, I guess to an extent.
Maybe walk through life in not wanting to harm others.
In this sense, one is defense, the other is offense.
Would I exact revenge to anyone that hurt my family?
You bet'cha. Without a second thought.

I am not talking about what you personally would or would not feel or do. I am talking about the issue of finding joy in the killing of--or the thought of killing--a person and how that reflects a mental health issue that is not...healthy.

To quote my original post:

The issue is not the killing of the enemy, it is finding exuberance in the thought of and action of killing another person, be it enemy of not. Even if one has directly harmed you or a loved one, one might get satisfaction at "revenge" and in killing, but to enjoy the process of killing is..well...

To find ]joy in and to become joyful because of the killing of a human, even if in war, is not ordinary. It's borderline psychopathy.

A nation rallying behind the killing of people, even in war, is not healthy for the state. It's barbaric.

The soldier with a sigh reluctantly recounting how he killed the enemy
Vs.
The soldier bragging with laughter how he shredded a bunch of those folks, as bullets ripped them apart.

Entirely different mental health issue.

I also said satisfaction, not joy, at revenge. Big difference.

Ya, but most Americans sleep soundly at night, with no fear of the enemy coming and kicking down their door down and taking them away or killing them. Some Americans yes are weary of war, but only in ways, that we wished it would all stop and our troops would just come home in safety. That audience would be people who like the idea of war as long as its in far off country and away from their homes. Americans, aren't experiencing much pain from these ongoing wars, so people are free to act like they wish and claim its alright to kill people if they dislike America. Romney, doesn't even know what word treason means You'll have to be an American citizen to be trialled in court for this, moron.

Sorry you feel that way. I don't get what God or the UN has to do with it at all. I am a human being and believe we will grow up, so to speak. Humans go through global mental transitions every day, we will ultimately get there, just not sure when. It won't be this crowd that lives it. But try to imagine the thinking. It will be like killing your own child, you would never think , nor even want to imagine it. Of course, there will alway be the few, that will fail, nothing is perfect.

It sure would be nice if we could jump start the thought process. I am eternally optomistic!

Ok, I guess.
Would I get satisfaction in ending the life of someone just arbitrarily? Nope. Not one bit.
Would I get it towards someone that means to harm me or has harmed me? Yep.
Satisfaction in knowing the threat is gone.

The recalling off events and then adding humor to it is a human coping mechanism.

Again, I find nothing wrong in killing my enemy that wishes to do me harm.

I would loose no sleep over it, nor be sad.
I would be happy to be alive.

If there is a declaration of war, you identify your enemies and you KILL THEM. Wars have been happening for thousands of years. Are you too naïve to realize that killing is the objective of war?

Why is this video controversial? The audience responded in approval. Why? Because what Newt said was factually accurate. So what?

UN is a puppet organisation. It lost its soul further when Bush and Blair went it alone and declared war on Iraq, without been sanctioned by the UN and its members. America, in my opinion is a rogue state, but has so much power and influence, it can bully other countries into believing their the good guys and everyone else opposed to them, is signalled out as the bad guy.

War begets war. Peace begets peace.

Someone has to be the bigger man and get the peace ball rolling. Be a leader, show the peaceful way, no matter how hard it may be. And it will be HARD. SO much harder than having a little war. War is the easy way.

Otherwise we are stagnating.

The rabid reaction is what is controversial, nothing more. It's very "Running man"-ish or "Mad Max"-ish. And this is coming from a room most likely claiming to be "Christian". The OP also left out part 1 where the crowd booed the golden rule, which is a solid foundation for Christianity as a whole. Very disturbing IMO.

With the exceptions of Nazism, Fascism & Communism, war solves nothing.

Hitler committed suicide and just passed on that total world domination thing.
It took World War 2 to make that happen.

you are just a pawn in their little game. nothing more nothing less. to your unit, your life might be important but to them you are just a sacrificial piece. the way we are headed, war with iran is imminent. tell me this, how are they a threat to the us? stop justifying to yourself thinking you are fighting the bad guys. have you ever wondered you might be actually fighting FOR the bad guys?
