Child molester gets 560-year sentence

The only thing that irks me is the sentence is too lenient.

No point in putting him in jail and letting him waste tax payer money with his worthless excuse for a life. Then again, I'm no sadist freak either who want to torture him to death. Just drag him out in front of a wall and execute him by firing squad, the good ol' fashioned way. No fancy stuff with electric chairs or poison injection, but old school execution. Quick, nasty to look at, and it gets the point across.

I hope he suffers for all those years!
They'll try & seperate him from other prisoners at first but he'll get his in jail over & over until he kills himself hahahahahah!
The people he abused will suffer & be affected forever & forever & so will their parents & families & others involved.
No pity here. No mercy in jail...........

Personally I don't agree with the death penalty. I know, I know he was diddling kids he is the scum of the planet and I agree. I just think life imprisonment is much much worst than death.

Put him in a small cell, feed him the bare minimum and never let him have any type of true human contact again. Just him and his four walls. This is what we should do to every mass murderer and rapist.

Tens of thousands of dollars are wasted yearly on each prisoner, so if we want to reduct the mountain of debt, a great place to start is by quickly culling the prison population of these convicted low-lifes!

I´d go for paralyzing, sever surgically certain nerves from his spine
so the only thing he would be able move for the rest of his life would be the eyes in his head.
I bet that would make him contemplate what he had done.

560 years? Can I say not long enough?

But since there are people like this in the custody of the state I think they should be psychologically assessed. With no choice in the matter, either.

If enough work is done with them then maybe some insight can be gained into what makes them the way they are and, better still, maybe a way can be found to deter them from that sort of behaviour should they ever be released.

Whatever the deterrent is, it needs to be 100% effective. Without that guarantee then I go back to my earlier statement. No stay in prison is long enough.

I was gonna make the same comparison - but then I thought... *nah, these people weren't born to be pedophiles or molesters, they were turned into the monsters that they are at an early age by their surrounding influence - the people that raised them... etc!*

no it wont' these people are in high political power , they are in our schools ,they are in religious insitutions , and they are in work places all around the world .

killing them one by one is only masking the problem , we need to find its roots.

560 years isnt a deterrent. Its a lifetime for him think and fantasize about the ills he has done,if he lasts his lifetime.

Make a real EXAMPLE of him. Let the children decide what should be done.

Yet van der sloot gets 28 years in prison for murder. and parole after 14 with good behavior.

that just makes no sense to me. touch someones penis, 500 years, kill them, 20.

Here's my view:

If you're guilty of Child molestation, or any other sex related crime, you're given a mandatory sentence of 10 years in a psychiatric facility to be “studied", chemically castrated, and hopefully rehabilitated. Second offense… death.

That guy is NOT going to have a pleasant stay in prison!

I agree, and TRULY wish it were that way.

However, sadly, on average it is more expensive to execute some one, than to keep them in prison for life. (all the trials for appeal...etc)

we gotta figure out the driving forces enviromental , biological , psychological , etc

How about this. You personally pay for ALL the child molesters incarcerated at the very moment,or house them with your children,to form a case study on WHY it happens.

Well to see what the issues are , where the wires are crossed , what enivormental factors shaped him , what habbits contributed , what pollutants and toxins might have triggered it . Could be a variety of things . But needs more looking into .

The child molesters can be housed away from other inmates , and made to work to pay off there own incarsaration fees . I can think of plenty of things for them to do , to pay the bills , be locked up , and at the same time studyed with differnt techniques

Put prisoners to work. They have to upkeep their facility, they have to do other work, possibly state infrastructure work, to pay for the materials to upkeep the prisons and/or psych hospitals, as well as the food to feed themselves. Take out the tax dollars, and let the prisoners self-maintain. They don't work, they don't eat.

Only reason you might want to study them, is to find out whether shock treatment, castration or drugs, in anyway STOP them doing what they are doing.

BULLET is still the best solution IMHO.

As a Psychologist I can tell you many people WISH to know how to treat these people. I have compassion for them just as anyone else with a mental illness. I believe there are certain "remedies" after years of therapy.

... but my personal feeling isn't far from your bullet ideal. They do cause an incredible amount of lifelong damage to others and as a society sometimes maybe we just gotta protect our own.

We dont.
Most people have bad thoughts (any) at some time about other people but it stays in their heads.
It doesn't go any further. It remains for a while then disappears.
I accept these devients were abused themselves.
They don't need to be understood because they can't be changed.
They are what they are & they can't be stopped unless you lock them up & lose the key or kill them.
Ask them & they'll tell you the same thing.
Damaged & irreparable.

Finally in a long time I can say; Justice served!

Why dont they slash a few hundred years off his sentence since he obviously wont be living that long and add it to some of these other sicko's sentences who are getting closer to being released?
