This video and story are quite amazing the hornets are ruthless killers.

Tens of thousands are dead, hundreds more of the dying lie writhing on the battlefield, powerless to protect their children.
These horrifying and yet fascinating scenes are the highlights of a three-hour battle between just 30 giant Japanese hornets and 30,000 European honeybees.
The video, from a National Geographic documentary called Hornets From Hell, shows a full-scale attack on the honeybees' comb in order that the hornets can get at their larvae.

Awww, that's just sad. Looks like they have feelings too. That one bee quickly went to the aid of his friend.
I couldn't watch anymore. Poor things.

I still hate bees

Mean hornets.

Wait until they grow bigger and attack people! I cannot believe videographers just let the honeybees die. So much for God.

Intense buggers for sure! Now how bout' the payback? Check this vid(starts at 25 sec) of how another honeybee, the Japanese honeybee, deals with these hornets. They let one in the hive, then swarm it and literally roast it to death by collectively raising their body temperature 6 degrees Celsius(42 F).

Holy honey roasters!!!

Incredible, thanks very interesting ,how an earth did they evolve to do that? What happened? Did one day one of the bees say "look here chaps ,we can't have these bloody hornet blokes coming in here slaughtering us all ,therefore I have devised a cunning plan."

Some honeybee brainstorming eh? No doubt nature has some incredible system designs! I was truly amazed at both of these creatures. I have never heard of anything in nature like this, the ability of animals raising their body temps for defense, mind blowing really!
