Ancient Prophecies vs Science, Government and Hollywood....any correlation?

Hello ATS,
Over the past 10 years or so, I've had an overwhelming feeling about "Movies" and our government....that the two are working hand-in-hand. I just recently divulged myself into ancient civilization prophecies due to the obvious year. I actually wish I had begun my research and desire earlier but "Life" was in the way. I have too much free time on my hands now I suppose. Regardless, here I am and this is my first thread. I have read many threads so far and I know there are a lot of intelligent men/women out here on this site and I'm hoping that you can provide knowledge and insight to help further my quest along. I will provide links to information that I believe are credible enough to advise you to read, listen or watch....if I can figure out how. Thanks in advance. My goal is to intrigue you just enough to further the questions and seek the answers that I just can't obtain or am unable to see the puzzle well enough to piece together.
Prophecy - A prediction of the future; made under divine inspiration.
The Hopi Indians prophecy- To summarize briefly, the Hopi Indians believed there would be (3) world shaking events. The first two world-shaking events would involve the forces portrayed by the swastika and the sun. Out of the violence and destruction of the first, the strongest elements would emerge with still greater force to produce the second event. When the actual symbols appeared it would be clear that this stage of the prophecy was being fulfilled. Eventually a “gourd full of ashes” would be invented, which if dropped from the sky would boil the oceans and burn the land, causing nothing to grow there for many years. As you can see, these are a few of the popular civilizations that predict a catastrophic event based on events recorded in the past. I've read articles that are based on archaeological finds that during different times of man on earth, there's proof they were far more intelligent than we are now. That humans were aware of flight and created airplanes. A computer was found and back-dated over 2000 years old. The inner workings of the computer were far more advanced and complicated of that of a Swiss watch. www.world-mysteries.com... Wouldn't these archaeological finds change the history books? Why are they not discussed in main-stream society? Could it be because if the truth was to be told, all religions and history as we know it would have been a lie? Could it be that if we were told the truth, it would send the world into chaos?
Science - a branch of knowledge or study dealing with a body of facts or truths systematically arranged and showing the operation of general laws. I'm not educated enough to criticize or debunk a scientist or astrologist but what I can say is this, the Mayan calendar of 5125 years NEVER missed a single astrological event predicted. So why would our scientists and astrologists of today have the audacity to tell me that there isn't a Nibiru on it's way thru our solar system? Or there isn't a comet or asteroid large enough to cause 90% of the worlds population to be wiped out immediately? Scientists and astrologist still do not answer the histories of our past and their detailed account of events and predictions.
All that leads me to my overwhelming feeling I've had for the past 10 years or so. I remember first watching the movie "Deep Impact" with Morgan Freeman as the President back in 1998 maybe? I began thinking about the underground base shown and lottery selection used with the military in control (martial law). I began thinking, "This is a great way to warn the general public of this being a real possibility...". Then comes Bruce Willis and his Armageddon movie, again 1998. Another inbound comet but this time we have an a different answer to solve the problem. Again, I thought what a great way to put people on edge to rest, if the situation ever arose, just call on Bruce. What I couldn't understand is why movie makers in Hollywood would risk 2 movies of the same background during the same time period? That didn't make sense to me...unless the government told Hollywood to put these movies out as a means to educate. That would make sense. A side note, Asteroid 1994XL1 came within 65,000 miles of Earth. Asteroid 2002MN came within 75,000 miles of Earth in 2002. Both were predicted as being relative size of 1908 asteroid that took out 800 square miles of trees. 800 miles is a lot of destruction folks. All these were not discussed with the public until after the fact. (I've researched and can't find anything to contradict that statement)
Some well known fictional movies that are now discussed as being feasible are: The Day After Tomorrow, Earthquake, Volcano, Dante's Peak, Armageddon, Deep Impact, 2012, Knowing. As they made for great entertainment, isn't it possible they were designed to inform the public as in a worst case scenario setting?
Keeping with the thought of movies as being a tool the government might use, I find it odd that there have been a lot of "Alien" type movies recently. Maybe that can be another thread?

I somewhat agree with what you have to say. I mean alot of movies come up with things that i could never ever imagine. It makes you think, i mean
there are alot of talented and intelligent people out there. But some of these ideas are out there. It's scary and interesting in a way. But my
biggest question is why do they have to hide it?
You're def on to something and I agree with most of what you said. I know what you mean by wishing you started earlier, life was in the way for me up
until about a 2 years ago and now i also have too much time on my hands lol. Every day I get to research whatever I want, it's awesome, yet
depressing because of all the stuff I learn.

I don't know...?? It does make sense that they would be public awareness movies.
I don't think the government could tell us if they knew something catastrophic was going to happen...there would be mass chaos. i think the trailer for that movie 2012 summed it up when they said, what would your government do if they knew....nothing.
I was in the military and then worked for a contractor and moved into the government side of things in Afghanistan for past 8 years and it's been the last 4 years or so that I've become an avid conspiracy theorist. It all started with the Iraq invasion....which i want to start a thread on as well as I'm researching a lot of different pieces of information trying to piece them together....

Yes, definitely too much time and the research is depressing at times. To come to the realization that there's so much corruption and lies in plain sight makes me wonder what I'm missing.

i had a very similar but opposing thought very recently! My thoughts on the subject were actually tied in with your post so i will share here instead of making one lol or maybe ill make one when i have more info lol who knows, i just havent had time to research mine yet and have enough to back me up...
so many similar observations, prophecies, and religious information are largely based on some of the same information. Have similar stories with different people, ect, Your comparisons on top are a good starting example
but... It seems that the government is hiding we know they are liars, corruptors and have a plan for something they are not telling the world. BUT i believe this is more sinister and they would not tell us because they do not want us to know.
My idea that i shared with my boyfriend was,
1. The similarity theory
2. They say a lot of stories have some truth or are based on some sort of actual events
3. there is always someone who knows something or someone.. this is a big part of it
so what if someone has some information and it gets leaked,
not good for the government, bad for the person because well
But if this information is passed on enough and becomes a story, it might make it to a person who is in the arts, writes a book, hears about it and has dreams, ect. therefore spreading and making its way through the public channels. if this becomes popular bam, A movie is made.
Now, what if there are two versions of leaked information, or two people hear similar stories and put a little more scientific spin on the what if scenereos, or feel that there should have been more information to this story so they will write their own and viola, two similar stories at similar times, reaching hollywood. Two directors choose to help raise public awareness of these what if scenereos.

i asked my boyfriend whos a lot smarter than i, imho and he agreed this sounded like a Plausible situation
we then had a conversation like the conspiracy theorists we are about how Maybe this is the reason for the
correlation between similar movies, similar time frames, similar leaked information coming out. People in Hollywood have a lot of money and connections, if you have the right friends not everyone is corrupt completely, I would think if enough money is offered enough information for a good book, movie, story could be purchased from someone without knowledge of this being leaked until they see it.
then come the tabloids OMG lol What funny people these are asteroids and the likes,
headlines about an asteroid being identified and supped to land but its going to miss earth etc.
so my boyfriend and i concluded that it would be a possibility that these actors and movies may be a part of a larger scale plan to inform the public about future possible outcomes of events that are actually being taken into consideration and researched.
i mentioned to him then, that if SHTF and everyone was killed, its very possible that someone made preparations and has copies of these movies, or some may survive and be the only information on human civilization for future
civilizations, alien travelers, ect.
therefore they may in a way become OUR Documented life, or what if scenereos, to whoever is trying to piece together the demise of our civilization or our planet.

Yes two similar movies came out around the same time about an asteroid hitting Earth... if that was an isolated or peculiar situation you might pause
and take notice. BUT this is a regular occurrence for Hollywood film companies. One studio starts a movie and another studio starts one up as

I can see your train of thought about having these movies for a record of sorts. Another ATS member wrote below you and I'll reply after this one that says hollywood does this more frequently than these times mentioned...etc. I can understand that aspect as well. So if that was the case, then future generations may think that vampires or zombies or some of the other crazy movies out there was our demise. So it would apply for the movies that actually resemble plausible end of humanity possibilities.
I really think that these movies are put out as a "feeler" to see how the public reacts. If they were to come live today and say, there's an asteroid we just found coming for earth...we have 3 months. We now already know that the 2 options that NASA believes would be used is nuclear detonation to push that asteroid away and change it's path or the most recent one I saw was a rocket attached to push and change the trajectory...(in the movie the talked about a big sail). But the public in general wouldn't go into a panic i don't think. I think everyone would be like, hell yeah, that makes sense....we seen it in a movie and it must be possible.
Further my thoughts on government and movies, our buddy Obama and his administration are under investigation as we talk right now for releasing top secret information on the supposed killing of osama bin laden. They believe the information came from very high up in the white house. The white house wanted the movie released prior to the end of 2012 because it's an election year. Movie isn't due out now until 2013...but regardless....that shows the connection. if it has happened once, why not before?

Take FEMA for example. They've run their yearly exercise called horizon eagle this year. First time in history they incorporated pets. Hurrican Katrina that knocked out new orleans happened in 2005 or 2006...right? they said a lot of people died because they didn't want to leave their pets. So why wasn't this practiced the last 6 years? Doesn't add up. Add on the fact that they have passed out biological and chemical warfare supplies to combat an outbreak or epidemic and spent 500 billion dollars this past year on supplies...for an exercise? doesn't add up. What movie did i just watch....contagion with matt damon...an outbreak that killed 22 million people or whatever....
Coincidence....maybe. but there seems to be a lot of them. There's a lot of information that needs to be sorted out before finding a piece of truth or a piece of something that leads you down another path. I'm just trying to see if there's a puzzle to connect the pieces here.....?

I see what you're saying....and yes...i agree about the wide range of movies. I was just trying to show the possibilities and that if the white house has admitted to doing it once...why wouldn't it be possible that's been a tactic all along.???
Take FEMA for example. They've run their yearly exercise called horizon eagle this year. First time in history they incorporated pets. yes....that's something i'd love to dig into. there's so much speculation and controversy out there over aliens and everything....i find it odd that there are at least 8 movies in the past year compared to a few here and there that were aliens like the predator. the movies over the last year were of the nature of a takeover......etc. I don't know....something has to give. i saw a report that 70% of the US believe aliens and ufo's exist. i just wish i was one of the bastards that was "in the know"....ya know!!! lol

I feel like i've started in the middle with 2 pieces and don't have any border pieces or corner pieces to begin. i hope to read what you find out soon and thanks again....

All forms of media are produced by a handful of players. In fact, so is most everything. Knowing this, the media is used to program us, to implant suggestions and to form or enhance beliefs. But to think that subtle hints are being given to you is an initial reaction, or at least it was for me. It lasted for a few weeks until I dug deeper. Can I suggest that you start reading material that presents the opposite to what you've come to believe? If you already believe in the Mayan calendar every other conclusion that you draw will be based on that belief. If you believe that extraterrestrials exist and are flying around this Earth the same thing happens.
Everything that is put out in film serves an agenda.
For me personally, I researched both sides and arguments for and against. I researched the agendas. And what I found was evil.
At that time I had no belief system except the religion of self, but I did pray to the Lord for the first time in my life for help. I now can tell you that what you see is deception but I cannot convince you of that. Your heart and mind will believe the deception if you do not turn to the Lord Almighty in a humble heart in search of the truth. You see, you are being given reasons for the changes coming up. False reasons so that you have "answers"...,so that you simply will not turn to God for the real Truth. It's His creation, don't you think that He is waiting for those that seek Him?

Now I believe you're on to something there....about psychological implementation and that movies are the easiest form to do that. I can draw that conclusion fairly easily.
There's a comment above yours from someone that said to investigate the exact opposite so as not to form a strictly biased opinion and to believe in God and faith...that everything isn't what it has seemed. I also had a friend today, non-related and has no idea my beliefs and that i'm investigating conspiracies and all this...she said, why is it so easy for people to believe in aliens that they've never seen but not able to believe in God. She went on to say that people respond to her that they want definitive answers and that they believe aliens will become a definitive answer soon and that God is not able to be seen or touched, therefore hard to believe in. Her response to that was, is "love" able to be seen and/or touched...it's a feeling, a belief. I found that conversation interesting...maybe off topic some on here...but still interesting in that it sorta fits with the comment I'm referring to that is above yours.
I agree that everything isn't as it has been taught or seen. There's some unclassified documents I just read yesterday regarding psychological pscyops programs and military tactics. 1990 the DoD had a 35 page reasoning as to why the military needed to monitor and implement the internet into their program. I found that interesting but still, we all kind of knew that already. Movies, entertainment, video games....all would be great areas to brainwash or at least plant the seed of many things into the entire population.
