I used to think that disinformation agents, government monitoring of these sites, etc, were all myths. I didn't think that the government would put that many resources together to do something that is so questionable. Then I realized that these guys, Obama included, are worse than standard politicians.

We have psychopaths running our country, and I honestly believe that. You have to have some mental disorder to think it is okay to lie to an entire nation, as well as implement every dirty tactic you can think of. This is how the system has been for a while, and it's sickening.

I am convinced they are monitoring ATS. Why wouldn't they be? Well I will tell them something. They should be afraid, considering the American people will only take so much. And that line is being approached every single day because of stuff like this..I for one will not sit on my butt when that day comes.

Hey, we should make some sort of sign we can make to let others know we are part of ATS when we get sent to a FEMA camp.

We have known about the Obama Groupies and their work on the Internet for quite a while now. They have never been secretive about it. With Obama he actually talks about the crappy stuff he does and people simply do not pay attention.

Even scarier is we know he wants to shut down all coal production and eliminate the coal fired plants to drive the energy costs up by about 25%. All this stuff is on video from his speeches, so how could he even deny it if he wanted to? He made no secret of that. People think it's bad now

The huge question is what kind of person still supports him? Imagine if he gets his way how badly this will hurt the poor they claim to care about. When energy costs "necessarily skyrocket" the price of everything, including food skyrockets. If Cap and Trade ever passes, it will cause the starvation of people all over the world. Do they care? Hell no they don't. None of these control freaks give a damn about the results of their actions.

These Alinsky types are all sociopaths, each and every one of them. I'm a little older than Obama and I remember this bunch he is in with. Dealt with plenty of them. Bill Ayers and that bunch of creeps were hated by the real Peace Protestors, just like the so called Anarchists are now.

They are usually rich kids and their lapdogs. Obama is one of their lapdogs of course. You simply can't have that life view and be otherwise. That's why he must have the young vote and illiterate vote. Informed people would be out of their minds to support him. They are easy to spot as they jump in their Limo to go to their private jet to fly to their mansion and then tell everyone else ride a bike.

You want to live in a country where the government controls you completely, vote Obama.

If the information that they are gathering is going to be used against us, then what will happen will be the following:
After the first arrest of such, then sites like ATS and other sites where people are informed and inshort share information will go black, as the people at these sites are not going to sit idly by and just let things happen unnoticed. I would go so far as to say, the old printing presses, the ones that required manual labor to operate may start getting dusted off, reinked and become used again, to counter the DHS in its efforts and then ultimately make their job harder and rougher to do. What would they do, if major cities started to pass out leaflets from undisclosed printing presses and passing out information that way?

Here is the actual Memo....

www.dhs.gov...

It is about compiling a network of politicians and reporters for the purposes of releasing information during national disaster and recovery. It has all types of limitations to that effect. They are looking for means to communicate news in "real time" during a disaster.

Doesn't mean the gov doesn't spy on us, but this document/announcement has nothing to do with it.

The OP and similair articles took the memo I linked to and excluded content that clarifies it's purpose and limitations.

The link is right there....always look for the actual doc...never trust the spin.

Makes sense, i'm sure the administartion has agents working on here at ATS. The other day I posted a thread on the disinformation of a certain green herb and it's countless benefits and medicinal purposes, complete with info and links for and against said green herb. Within seconds it was deleted, because it was supposedly "offensive" and it even said it was removed because it was either offensive or should not be seen by others. Granted there are other threads here on the same topic, perhaps I was on to something I shouldn't share? Haha who knows, maybe it's time we go back to discussing censored topics in pubs by candle light.

You are fools to believe that this is something new. This change occurred soon after September 11, 2001. Many of you are lucky this is a country that allows us free speech. The unlucky one is the one who used the word bomb and Obama in the same sentence, even if it is a joke. Look, I don't care if you are republican, democrat, socialist or just plain dumb, Obama is the President of this Great Nation and should be respected. I despised Bush and rarely approved his policies but I respected his position as our leader and waited for the elections for his departure. Obama is not a bad President, he has approved more drone attacks on terrorists ten times more than Bush. He signed the death warrant for Osama Bin Ladin and others. He did not put our country in the position it is in now. It all happened on Bush's watch. Grow up folks! I do not agree with some of Obama's policies but this does not make him a bad President. We will never agree with everything. For example, Clinton signed a bill giving welfare recipients 2 years to get off welfare so this would give them the incentive to go out and work for themselves, while Bush immediately abolished that bill when he came into office. I adamantly disagreed with this decision and many others, but I never wished him ill will. Finally, who cares if the government is spying on social networks. as long as you refrain from threats, your freedom of speech with continue.

Unfortunately the Patriot act enforced by the Bush administration has loop holes that allow for such invasions of privacy, censorship, and info gathering. Until this the only tactic I was aware of was a group of computer specialists and software program designed to filter the internet for certain words that could be percieved as a terroristic message. Simply typing "how to build an e*****ive" on the internet will have your name slapped on the "No fly" list. That in a way makes sense, what doesn't is apparently the list literally is just names, i'm not sure it has other info, if thats the case then if someone with the same name as you were to do so you wouldn't be able to fly either, solely on a same name basis.

I recently came here from another conspiracy site. I have been in and out of the "truth movement" since I was much younger. I left because I could not stand the blatant disinfo being offered. Reptilians, etc. Is it really as big a problem as I was led to believe? I wonder, are all sites like this bound to have disinformation people actively participating? How can you tell who they are?

I do not discredit the reptilian theory all together, I just don't buy it anymore.

5 pages and the biggest Obama shill, OutKast Searcher, is nowhere to be found. This is worrisome...

TinfoilTP as well, yet I think we already know they only post on Ron Paul threads only to bash him.
So that isn't so much of a surprise...

This feels like 1984, it's coming sooner than you think folks. The infamous Thought Police! Before you know it, even our hidden thoughts won't be so hidden the way technology is headed
. Be wary of what you type even though what you believe is true and how you feel about that truth.

Just put yourself in TPTB's shoes for a while, this is a good way to control who they see as the 'cattle'.

All the best I think the coming years will be interesting indeed.

Why would you use the internet to discuss private/sensitive business?

I was brought up on the old school principles of silence is golden and to always keep my mouth shut.

Discretion saves lives including your own.

One of those principles is:

NEVER TALK PRIVATE BUSINESS ON A TELEPHONE.
another is...
ALWAYS VISIT PEOPLE IN PERSON WHEN WANTING TO DISCUSS PRIVATE BUSINESS.

I have no problems getting in any of my cars and driving to go see the people I need to talk to.

These kids now-a-days do not care and will confess the world over any type of device and to anyone!

I guess when you are raised to not keeps secrets and never learn about discretion this is the end product that you create.

Circa 2012... The Big Brother generation. In these days and times the Feds are watching and listen in on everyone. I feel for you if you have a Facebook account you just voluntarily logged yourself into one of the largest personal information database on Earth.

Mark Zuckerberg is the 21st century J. Edger Hoover with over 800 million VOLUNTARILY biometrically scanned & logged specimens in his database. The Obama administration needs to only get your Facebook account along with your twitter account and you are done!

With just your facial biometric information you can be tracked literally anywhere around the world. Once the Internet 2.0 is in full operation all cameras will be linked and biometrically enabled.

ATS is being targeted for its content and the US government may be making models from the information they get off of here. People keep your thoughts to yourself and sensitive information away from prying eyes. Use common sense in the information age for it pays to use discretion.

Last year and before, the administration began taking steps to enable the surreptitious monitoring of sites such as ATS.
Gov't Admits Spying on Blogs and Forums

Government Proposes Massive Shift in Online Privacy Policy

They’re Here! Obama Disinformation Agents Are Actively Posting Against Critics

Now, Janet Napolitano has issued internal directives allowing government snoops to compile personal info of anyone posting news and blogs that catch the attentaion of the Obama administration and its minions.

Under the National Operations Center (NOC)’s Media Monitoring Initiative that came out of DHS headquarters in November, Washington has the written permission to retain data on users of social media and online networking platforms.

Specifically, the DHS announced the NCO and its Office of Operations Coordination and Planning (OPS) can collect personal information from news anchors, journalists, reporters or anyone who may use “traditional and/or social media in real time to keep their audience situationally aware and informed.”

According to the Department of Homeland Security’s own definition of personal identifiable information, or PII, such data could consist of any intellect “that permits the identity of an individual to be directly or indirectly inferred, including any information which is linked or linkable to that individual.” Previously established guidelines within the administration say that data could only be collected under authorization set forth by written code, but the new provisions in the NOC’s write-up means that any reporter, whether someone along the lines of Walter Cronkite or a budding blogger, can be victimized by the agency.
...
The department says that they will only scour publically-made info available while retaining data, but it doesn’t help but raise suspicion as to why the government is going out of their way to spend time, money and resources on watching over those that helped bring news to the masses.

Whoa: Obama Administration Monitoring Journalists

I guess that puts you on top oh the $-hit list

Love that quote... So simple yet so true. V said that in the movie V for Vendeta. Things like this tell me the government is afraid of us and they are going to try there best to weed out the trouble makers. A message for the current administration. You are out numbered and out gunned... If you just step down and back off we might forgive you and not take you all down for treason. The important word being MIGHT. Having a hard time forgiving a government that uses my taxes to fight proxy wars, kill innocent people, over throw forgen governments, spy on nations that already hate us, etc, etc etc. The day WILL come when you all will be held accountable for your actions, mark my words!

Or am I being a little too optimistic and giving them way too much credit for having neural synopsis capabilities ?
