LOOK AT THE PICTURE: The second photo clearly shows that the outer frame of the hatch window (which is also visible if you were looking throught it from the inside) is square with rounded corners (as shown in the original Apollo video) and not circular.

But the squaroid outer window has a slightly wider area than from the inside, that view would be one of a round porthole.

NO FLY ZONE ON MOON

The reason: avoiding any spraying of rocket exhaust or dust onto certain historical sites and artifacts on the moon.

Do you all also believe that the no fly zone on the moon was a fake to coverup a hoax. Everybody is so quick to denounce American history. Hi I actually watched the Apollo 11 mission and listened to all the transmissions that were broadcast.
One thing that really struck me was one of the crew exclaiming "There are no stars where have all the stars gone"
The transmission was immediately cut.
I can not prove that as it was probably buried but I know what I heard - I was a teenager at the time.
It still haunts and mystifys me and I would love any explanation or info from any on this.

 

Could you be a bit more specific? Where were they at the time? What were they doing? etc. While they were on the surface of the moon, the astronauts could not see the stars because of the day light affect of the sun reflection off the surface of the moon.

Of course it was some 43 years ago but from what I recall - The capsule was in space between the Earth and Moon. But yes I clearly remember one of the crew suddenly exclaiming "There are no stars where are the stars"
And the transmission was cut - I am not saying there is any conspiricy just I am so curious to know - it has always played on my mind - why was the transmission cut so abruptly the tone of voice of the crew member was sorta gobsmacked.

Thats a silly argument, look at how bright it is outside. If you have seen the documentary footage, there is cardboard in the window. The earth doesn't leave the frame it would fill the entire viewport. If you looked out the window, you would see nothing but earth.

Yes it would fill the window if they were in low Earth orbit. They weren't. That's the point.

Sorry, I'm teasing just a little. I just think the Bart-man is both ridiculous and sublime. How can you not find the whole thing funny in an unpleasant way? I bet John Cleese and Michael Palin laughed if they saw it....

There are parts of the Apollo "story" that I have very serious doubts about but I will have to gather more information and put it together properly before I'm willing to argue my case on ATS. That won't be any time soon as I have too much else on.

I love these threads because they so swiftly devolve into NASA is an evil entity out to destroy evidence of extraterrestrial life, fake billion dollar moon missions, and convince everyone Mars is red.

Where does all this animosity come from? Are people so jaded in the 21st century that knowledge and wonder are no longer allowed to be their own rewards?

Not only did we go to the moon, we have launched missions of discovery to most of the planets of the solar system, hundreds of other moons, and even four ships to the stars-we live in an age of almost mythic proportions. I for one am glad to be alive to see these wonders come to our computer screens.

I hate to accuse people who fake earth shots of faking a debunking video.

If, there is a coverup, its no mean feat to fake some video to debunk the leaked video. Is it.

Just like when Japan sent a probe to the moon, why no images from them of any evidence of landing sites?
DO you mean to tell me that they would send a camera to the moon that did not have sufficient resolution?

If they did then they must be the worst space faring nation on earth to be so stupit.

More probable they did not want to embarass NASA further than to say, they saw nothing, and made an excuse to be compassionate.

Whereup then, NASA was forced to send a mission to the moon, and what? Fake some landing sites?
How difficult would that be? You see there is a credibility gap here and there is evidence of fakery, so I'm afraid that independant evidence is now required to clear them.

So, Russia, the Soviet Union, had probes all over the moon for years. They should be kind enough to provide the clear evidence of the landing sites, as observed by their rovers and orbital missions.

I guess we have to wonder why they never did that.

I wonder if China will find anything.
