Nothing in the MSM about this so i wouldnt worry too much. Not the first time (BY FAR) that countries have traded in non-dollar currencies.

Dollar is worthless.

Why stay in a wholly boat?

Good move.

If true, and a big if...This is not looking good at all. I will wait to see better links to this story but I'm sure the Americans will be a little perturbed by this. India, and Pakistan both on the Iranian side, both have nucs, seems possible but man this is all happening fast

Not so much news on its own but if other countries start following suit then it will lower confidence in dollar which will drop its value. This will effect credit rating and if rating is dropped then it really hits the fan. Dollar would have to be dropped as de facto exchange currency. The currency of choice would probably be the yuan as its most stable.

Cant see that going down to well.

Now everyone, sing along "There may be trouble ahead etc"

This is probably the main reason the MSM networks are constantly advocating the war drums. They are controlled by the bankers and they do not wish to see their house of fiat money fall. It is not backed by gold, hence it is useless. Good for Iran for not wanting to enslave its people via the banks. They will not bend to central banking and enslavement.

The more worrying thing for me is that Russia has a carrier fleet in Syria at the moment. The next week might be interesting. Everyone keeps saying Russia wont do anything but we may actually be getting close to the point that Russia feels they have to take action.

Only so many resources can be allowed to be controlled by west before they feel threatened enough to take action.

Foreign banks and governments have been slowly moving away from the US Dollar for some years now. The dollar has already collapsed and as usual it takes some time for this erosion to complete its cycle. I see world war being imminent within the next 5-15 years due to the US dollar losing its place as the dominant currency. It is what it is.

Last week called, they said this already happened.

China-Japan, China-Russia, China-Iran, India-Japan all have made bilateral agreements to drop the dollar.

Now add Iran-Russia.... that's a whole lotta stuff NOT being bought with USD.

Nothing new here, they have been doing this since 2009(along with China).

"Russia, China to Promote Ruble, Yuan Use in Trade (Update2)"
www.bloomberg.com...

"Much Ado About Nothing: China, Russia Drop Dollar In Bilateral Trade"
www.zerohedge.com...

On the other side of the table, it looks like Iran/China/Russia might be allied if something were to 'go down'.

The Admiral Kuznetsov has deployed to the Med for a few years now, and of course it uses the leased Russian support facility at Tartus - why wouldn't it??

New money....

Nothing really that new in the game of economics.

When the dollar is once again worth something...or whatever currency, they will go back.

It's for profits. It's always for profits.

Only two things in this world that beat hate. Love, and money.

Currency mechanisms are complicated and can be effected by lots of politcal developments. I think what countries like Russia, India are trying to do is conduct a barter trade with Iran. India gets Iranian oil and Iran get say wheat or whatever. Does make lots of sense when dollar is on a slow slide since last ten years and nothing being done to tackle reasons for its depreciation.

Russians have repeatedly said that their only carrier had already planned to visit Syria way back in winter 2010. So this deployment has nothing to do with current Syrian crisis. However, Russians not putting off this visit says that they want to show some support to the Syrians. I doubt Russians would want to get involved into naval battle with the 3 US carriers and dozens of ships escorting them. Their better bets would be to supply Syria and Iran with weapons in case something hot brews in the region.

Iran and Russia should have dump US dollar a long time ago. at least now they are doing the right thing.

With its trillions of debt, US Dollar is very much worthless.

Just wait until they start selling oil in the Modern Gold Dinar instead of USD...

THAT, my friends, is when you will see WW3 fully engage.

And it's not far off...

I didnt realize such a mundane and non news worthy move would lead to the end of the world for some.

Russia and China use their own currencies for bilateral trade between each other and it didnt rush in the end of the world.

Why would this?

I think you guys need to look to see how the use of the dollar in trade works.
