Same in IOWA but we have had mild winters like this before. Thing is we will probably have had heavy snow in late April.... wait for it! Then you will miss this weather.

See people tend to complain "OMG this winter is so brutal with all this snow" once we have a good storm. Because there is NO PROGRAM for mother nature. Even in all our technology and understanding we simply are on a need to know basis when it comes to Mother Nature. Always subject to change and surprises.

I am enjoying it, if it does not snow at all then good

Now could there be global warming afoot? Very well may be the case. Lets look at the data.

While I am certain that our SUN drives weather and is the overwhelming dictator of the cycles of weather on our planet and throughout our solar system, we have a segment of our population whose goals include but are not limited to pushing the Man Made Global Warming Scheme, Carbon Tax Scheme and other schemes to reach their Eugenics Goals, World Domination Schemes etc, so, I don't need pushed to hard to believe that HARRP is being used to heat the atmosphere, effect weather and cause other effects that people like that F---in Al Gore aka Man-bear-pig are trying to attribute to Man Made Global Warming,,in which case he is in effect right but its not US, it is THEM.

My garden is still partially in bloom (Southern England) I've got Penstemons, Osteospermum, Roses and a numerous others alongside my more hardy plants that are still in bloom (most of which are normally packed with straw to protect from frosts, but not this year.)

In a lot of ways I am glad, since everyones attitude around here seem to generally reflect the weather when it is miserable, (only cheering up when we get a dumping of snow ) I for one could do without a cold, wet and miserable winter for a change, especially right now given how miserable life is for most of us.

It has been warmer than usual here in southeast Wisconsin. We had a few snow showers here and there, but no white piles sticking to the ground for more than a few days. I wonder what the summer is going to be like. On a side note, my town was run over by an EF2 tornado in 2010, and oddly enough, a supercell storm passed overhead 1 year to the day after we were hit.

Strong thunderstorms make me nervous now. I used to absolutely love watching them, with the lightning and all, but now I get a little shaky when the winds pick up.

Here in Slovakia we had only a few days with snow, which is very unusual. Definately the warmest winter I remember.

I was getting some tan during the Christmas time (video above). Christmas most of the time is white and cold here.
I am from Latvia - North Eastern Europe (see pic below).
The weather is unusually warm this winter. I am from Riga - so far only sleet, no proper snow. Very few days with subzero temps. Forecast is that the winter will start on the second half of the January.

I used to believe that perhaps the whole global warming thing was being overly exaggerated and that perhaps the solstice is merely changing times. As the last several years have still had winters...just later then normal in the year....or earlier..depending on how you view it I suppose....

This year is different though...or at least it feels that way thus far...almost like winter doesn't really want to show up this year....if it doesn't start acting wintery soon I'll certainly have to admit I was wrong about global warming.

i had a dream just a couple nights ago that i checked the weather forecast and it was all high positives for the week
and for Canada in january that is quite unheard of
tho it was just a dream this week has still been above zero and almost 10 degres
which i believe is still unheard of for cities in Canada in january

ps. i believe if there is some global warming / climate change going on it is natural and possibly linked to a coming polar shift/reveral

On Christmas morning(2011), I listened to several birds chirping in my back yard, for about an hour and a half.

I have never in my life heard birds chirping on Christmas morning. Usually, they don't come back for another couple of months.
