"Predicting the future" while dreaming.

What this thread is about is "predicting the future" for lack of a better way of putting it while dreaming.

Has anyone ever had this happen?

For example, I had a dream an object is falling off a table, and right as it hit the floor in my dream a loud crash rings out waking me up only to see something has actually fallen and made the loud noise in the real world.

Does this happen for anyone else?

But to answer...yes. I think it is happening at the same time. The noise is heard and the dream is created in an instant. It might seem like a story to us but it happens in a flash. The noise is what has caused the flash dream and has woke us up. But of course this is just my opinion.

I use to dream that the messenger of the watch was waking me up to go on watch. That would get me mad and I would wake up, look out my rack and see him coming into my stateroom to wake me up. It was probably me just conditioned to the sound he makes as he goes about waking up the next watch. I think I would hear him coming then dream about him waking me up before he actually did it. Does that make any since?

This is weird that you brought this up....

I've been having awesome dreams the last few weeks and a couple weeks ago (I can't be sure of the exact date, i was on holiday but it was between christmas and new years)... I had a dream.

I was friends with a police officer and after years on the force he found it "interesting" to take samples of "drugs". He didnt take them, he just took them. In the dream I was in his house, lower level, it was my GF, him and his wife. It was like a family room, open space with a big couch and a big screen TV. He brought out a suitcase, metal, and opened it up. It was like a gun case with the foam on the inside but all the compartments where baggies of drugs. Then he went over to the big couch I mentioned earlier... he pulled a cushion out and unzipped it and pulled out a baggy filled with walnuts. He told me "this is what all the kids are doing these days".

Then, last Monday a poster by the name of predator0187 made this post.

I'm totally freaked out because I've dreamed other things that have happened but its never been this bizarre. Walnuts?

Take it or leave it, our dreams may very well be something more than just.... bs.

Actually, it has happened to me over my lifetime quite a bit. At least 2 lives that I know of may have been saved on different occasions. Maybe a lot more on a third one.

Once I even did what I would call the ultmate. I really don't think I could ever top this. I gave every last detail, year, month, day, and time of a major event in front of a handful of folks. And to sweeten the deal, I predicted the death of a musician months prior. So once that musician died, they must have known I meant business. I told them they had my permission to alert the authorities before hand if they wanted. They never did. Unfortunately what this proved to me is that perhaps I told more than I should. Those people will never be the same afterwards. Their lives were perfect nirvanas before hand. Afterwards they were all a mess. Plus none of them could ever face me again. They were afraid to be in my presence, like I was a god or something. I feel like I killed them inside. Sometimes there are things that people should not know. I said those very words to them that very day after I told them. After I thought to myself, "what have I done?" I hurt people that I really cared for.

On a good note, I do have good potential for the lotto prediction business. I realized this when as a youngster I dreamed about a house number. As I looked at it, the number zoomed in closer and closer until it was in front of my nose. I never played the 3 digit daily number. But I did that day and won. Later I realized that when I had dreams of winning the lotto, I should take note of the numbers. My main problem with this is I often forget about the dreams until a short bit after I have awoken, By then, I can't remember all the numbers. So I always play what I remember and play a bunch of different combinations to fill in the blanks. One time, I missed being a millionaire by one number. To this day, I feel like I missed my fate.

Anyways, I feel that if I could find a way to remember the numbers, I will be a millionaire. I don't have lotto deams too often so I need to be prepared for the next time. I need a plan.

I had a lotto dream not too long ago. By the time I rememberd my dream, once again, my mind went blank. Even though I could see every number in my dream. 5 was a definate, and I remembered a roll in the twenties. I figured well, maybe I could still at least win some decent chump change. : I threw this ticket together in like 2 minutes. I really need to put more time into these things. Then maybe something good will come of this. A lazy psychic... Sigh....

Yes I have had several dreams which came true in waking life and some even showed actual locations I had not even been previously aware of.
I believe dreams can show us future occurances though these are not set in stone so to speak.
I also believe dreams are like a theatre that can show us aspects of ourselves we fail to see in ordinary circumstances.
I had a perfect example last night - let me explain.
Last night I was dreaming I was out walking with Mom in the countryside - we came across a wall - Mom leaped over it whilst I refrained from doing so and took an easier but longer route around it.
My Mother is in her 80s - I feel very protective towards her but sometimes I worry too much - Mom is very sprightly and has all her facultys in tact.

Not set in stone is exactly my sentiments also. Once I posted a premo dream on a repository hoping folks in higher places will see it or find out. It was about the terrorist plot in Las Vegas and involved a helicopter. This was before it was even published in the news.

It was a repeat dream that I had for perhaps decades. And I always saw the same building involved. It was a big dark pyramid. I used to search online for it to no avail. One day while planning a Vegas trip, I saw it! The Luxor!!! I was soo excited that I immediately posted my premo.

When I went to Vegas, I stood on the roof of the Luxor parking garage I also saw in my premo. And stared at the same exact "picture" as in my premo. While overhead, a helicopter flew by. I stood there in shock and awe. And even posted my impression on the repository site. Not long afterwards, helicopters were banned from fyling over the strip. So did they do this because of me? Did I change fate? Or was it changed another way? But does it really matter since a lot of lives were saved. And that is all that counts.

But knowing that folks that were not supposed to live, are now alive, how does this change the world? Will many other things now not happen or happen as a result of this?

One thing though is that we so often fail to see how our words and actions influence others.
I am sure many have had friends say things like - Remember when you said that - it really made me think - or even changed my life.
Obviously your dream felt very important to you hence you persude it to get ansewrs - Who knows how along the way you may have influenced others thinking. We all get triggered by thoughts and actions of others - I think it's because we are all connected really

Sometime I'll dream about someone I havent seen in years and then the next day I'll see them walking around town. Really bizzare. Happens to me ALL THE TIME

Yeah I used to have a lot of dreams when I was pretty young and they would come true. Small things like seeing a guy jump off a building into a river. I saw this happen for real a month after the dream while on holiday and it was the same person!

This continued for years. All through high school and then on to university. One of the best ones was seeing a girl in my dreams and we were dating in it. Over a year later I moved from Ireland to England to go to University and I met this Girl! We did start to date you'll be happy to know!

It continued all through university and after as well. As soon as I finished Uno I went back to Ireland and I dreamt of certain people who I have never met before and we were all in the same room and Bill Murray was there! I didn't think much of it, it must have been just a normal dream if hollywood stars are walking around. Then about a year and a half later I'm now working in the film industry and I'm in that same room with those same people (Who by that stage have become all close friends) and there is Bill Murray!!!

I'm 29 now and sadly I haven't had too many dreams like that for a good few years now but I always enjoyed seeing what popped up next!

My oldest daughter has premonition dreams alot.
I had premonition dreams from time to time dreams when I was younger. Not alot of them, but some. None since I turned 30.
I think the world made me numb and thats why it doesn't happen anymore.

Ever since I can remember I have had a fantastic recollection of my dreams and some of them have rung true

A few years ago I had a dream about all of my brothers friends wanting to harm him for some reason, about half an hour after I woke up my girlfriend got a phone call from her brother to say that my brother had stabbed him.

It turned out my brother was the aggressor and his friends who are also friends with my girlfriends brother took offence to what happened and ended up fighting with my brother.

Another one I had was about a runner 'ussain bolt' breaking a world record, now the only sport I follow is Football (soccer) so I have no interest in this area, any how I said to a friend who likes a gamble now and again to stick some money on him breaking a world record the next time he ran.

My friend never took my advice but informed me a couple of weeks later that he had read that had broken two records a few days apart within the previous 2 weeks.

The only time I had heard of this runner was when he destroyed a world record well before the period of my dream and it was well publicised, in the dream it never mentioned his name but for some reason I knew who he was. (if you showed me a picture of him I wouldn't know who he was)

Another dream I had years ago and sticks in my head was a major explosion in a train station the station looked pretty old with a central staircase that broke to the left and right at the top leading to more stairs on each side it also had a huge clock above the staircase.

I know its vague but I can't seem to get that dream from my head.

There is something I noticed. If it is an event that will make a huge impression upon you, the more likely you will have a premo about it. My advice is to look for that train station.

Myslef I have had a premo about a train station also. But mine was different. It was used for evacuation at an area near Erie.

Annoncements were made that weapons of mass destruction were used in the nearby town of Erie. This was done by Al Quiada. (The first time I had this premonition, I had no clue who Al Quida was.) All were told to evacuate because of the dangerous particulate matter. I assumed it was the US Erie. But now I am not so sure. Some were evacuating via train station. And the cutlery in the lounge was specific to the UK. And folks had accents. So while I am not 100% certain it was Erie in the UK, I think it was

At the time of the dream I never really travelled about but recently my job sees me in different train stations and airports a few times a week.

I think I will go online and look for this station as the image is still crystal clear in my head, you never know it might give me an insight on what jobs to refuse in future

After having a look I have found the staircase however in my dream it was inside the station and this looks to be outside also it might have been a common design in stations of a certain period.

Yes it is a very common design. Did you notice anything else? It may help to concetrate on unusual landmarks nearby if you noticed any. Keep trying even if you have to shelve it for a few months or more. I once did that and totally by accident found the exact building I was looking for. If it is meant to be, it will certainly be.

Wakin up in a mad panic because you think you slept through the alarm,only to find you wake up a microsecond before it actually goes off done that a load of times.

Off to bed just now but I will manage a quick reply.

I remember walking towards the steps and taking in the clock (not the time however) standing slightly to the right from the center of the steps I began climbing them, the next thing I know I had turned round to my back left to witness the aftermath of some tragic event, there was fire and a lot of walking wounded and very scared people running about I just stood and took it in as if I was watching from out of harms way.

Thinking back this must have been around 8 or 9 years ago
