Welcome to the NWO!

"If you see something, say something...and get a treat as your reward"

Umm...What's new about that? There has been rewards offered for information on crimes or for the whereabouts of crime suspects for centuries, if not longer.

The "NWO" has nothing to do with this very old and antiquated idea.

Ever heard of a bounty hunter? They make a living off of those rewards. There is nothing new about it....

You are seriously over reacting as far as this goes. Be fair. There is nothing new about this idea and it is not being used to usher in any kind of NWO.

Now, I personally would not turn in some one just for owning a gun illegally. I consider that none of my business. But it is nothing new to offer a reward for information on crimes.... At all.

Nothing new about the idea?

This has nothing to do with bounty hunters. Bounty Hunters take their situation as a job.

Asking soccer moms to spy, report on neighbors, friends or family is not Bounty Hunting. And now getting paid? Sorry but this is new to me as it is to many.

And let's be honest. How many reports will there be for people looking to cash in. And without even knowing if the person is a legal carrier or not. Just report and hope it pays off.

Usher in the NWO? Maybe not. But a desensitizing of the people is certainly a possibility is it not?

I never grew up in that type of situation so I guess it's just new to me.

Peace

A quick fact about NJ, permits to carry are next to impossible. So anyone carrying a gun, there is a good chance that that person is breaking the law.

Breaking an unconstitutional law ain't breaking the law.

The feds should do their damn job for once and force the stinking state to obey the bill of rights.

But eh, the rule of law is so much of an alien concept it'll never be done.

I own a handgun that's not registered nor do I have any permit for it or papers on it at all. It's a 12 shot per clip semi-automatic. has a long rifled barrel and shoots 22 long bullets. Not deadly with one shot unless you hit a vital organ but I can pump 12 shots into a target as fast as I can pull the trigger.

www.durysguns.com...

It was a gift. Where I live this gun does not need to be registered. I wonder how many people have legally owned guns like I have and people are calling the cops on them. I know this law is to help get guns from bad guys off the streets, but really.. the bad guys use these too and similar because they know they can without a trace.

When will these people understand that they will never take our 2nd ammendment? You will never disarm Americans. Never.

Yeah, they said this in every country where they took them away. Which is now just about everywhere. Just wait. You'll see.

I have lots of guns. Had guns since I was a kid. None of them are registered in any way. People gave them to me, I bought them from individuals, etc. I am not a criminal, but I'm against any type of registration of anything. If you have to get a license for something, that implies that it is illegal to do it, and you have to get permission. You are now being extended a privilege, not a right, and it can be taken away at any time.

I am in Mexico now, where they made em illegal years ago. No one has guns except the real bad guys. In a way it's cool, you can count on any petty crook not having a gun, so it's safe to just beat their heads in. But the real bad guys have plenty of guns. So, I bought guns from the bad guys. It's not hard. Geez, with fast and furious we gots us LOTSA guns down here now! HA. But I want to have some kind of firepower, just in case. I'm not gonna be able to stand up to a military crackdown or anything like that, but you never know what might happen. Better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it.

I don't like this kind of thing.. but dude I am sold.
I need a thousand bucks and they shouldn't have illegal guns.
What stops me from heading up and planting some on neighbors though?

It does say illegal guns. That is pretty important. Either they aren't allowed to have them, or they don't have a serial or something. They aren't just busting everyone with a gun.

So it SHOULD read "Do you know someone that has a gun illegally?"

Have you seen Jersey Shore?
I don't think anyone in that state should own a gun!

They should take away all the beautician's licenses, if that's what they end up with!

Yep fear and greed work wonders... Of course they made it vague on purpose so everyone and thier brother will be turning in thier neighbors legal or not in hopes of getting a free grand. And most people will have no idea if someone's guns are legal or not. That gives the cops an excuse to come investigate.

Time for folks to move if they can. Otherwise time to shut up about owning guns period even if legal except to super trusted family and friends....

I agree. I think it is intentionally vague. It's how the video is presented that I see as the problem here. Removing illegal guns from criminals is important, but this video seems to be intentionally giving this impression of just "guns". It should be stated clearly up front that this only pertains to illegal guns at the beginning of the video. It's leaving too much room to be misunderstood.

If this was a product being sold on tv, it would be pretty close to false advertising. People will not watch the entire 3 minute video, they'll get one minute into watching it, and start thinking about the $$$$. This is just a bad idea.

You're wrong, but the government is sure hoping to Hell that the majority sees it your way on this.

With a few obvious exceptions, most people don't know enough about their neighbors to make the judgement call on whether they are legally allowed to own a firearm or not (a frickin' assinine concept that flies in the face of the 2nd ammendment in the first place... the right of the people to keep and bear arms SHALL NOT be infringed upon...). This program, as with most snitch programs is intended to help the government gather data and valuable information. These type of programs are first steps in preparation for unconstitutional gun grabs.

When the day comes that the Newark government deems all firearms to be illegal, they will go a'door knockin', stopping first at each house they now know has a firearm inside thanks to the snitches looking to get paid today.

It's more refined than Nazi Germany, but the end goals I suspect are quite similar.
