Hot Air Balloon Crash in New Zealand kills 11

WELLINGTON, New Zealand -- A hot air balloon crashed and killed all 11 people aboard near the rural town of Carterton, some 94 miles (150 kilometers) north of the capital, Wellington, officials said Saturday

This is just breaking, so not too many details yet.

It appears that the balloon had burts into flames before crashing into the ground.

I'll update as soon as more information is available.

Balloons can be very dangerous, as this case is illustrating. This is a tragedy for the people involved and for New Zealand.

My good friend does Hot Air balloon rides here in Calgary and we can only fit 4, plus the pilot.

The gondola can carry up to 10 passengers and the pilot.

It appears this one held 11 people. I'm assuming it was full.

Was it filled with 11 of "Them"!
Perhaps it was attacked by teh Galatic "Anti Them"

Have you ever been in an automobile? Occasionally, people die in those.
Air is polluted, so you should probably try to not breathe too much.
Water contains poison, so don't drink it.

I made no claims of anything being funny. If you are going to live your life by not doing anything that could kill you, then you cannot do anything at all. Try not to be so afraid.

Well I am afraid of a Big Ballon tied to a cage which shoots flames up the Ballon I would never do that, I admit that.
