Does ATS keep logs on who gives who star's?

Just wondering and didn't know where to post this.
Also how long does ATS keep the threads and posts? forever or do you wipe some after a certain amount of time?

i star just about anything that makes sense or makes me laugh

Why do you want to know (about the stars)?
And I'm not being facetious, I'm genuinely curious

And the threads stay unless they are deleted for violating T&C and/or there is already a thread on the topic.

No we don't keep track of who gives who stars, and no we don't delete threads or posts after a certain period of time.

In fact, if you go to the recent posts page you'll see a drpopdown menu on the upper right next to the tabs that says "show ATS history". You can select month and year going back to 2003. That's an interesting exploratory exercise, I think.

Just being a bit paranoid I guess it would be a great way to make a profile about a person by looking at what people star and flag even if they don't post etc

Funny, profound, or well-reasoned (even conflicting with my own ideas!) posts will generally get a star from me. Oh, and kittens!

For the purposes of ensuring one member can't give the same post multiple stars (or flags), we record the post ID and thread ID of those that you flag and star.

Nothing is deleted.

What about at the request of the poster?

I mean posts are removed for violations all the time...so what about the poster requesting a post be removed?

Not that it comes up very often...but I have seen posters come back and say "wish I could take back that one...drunk night"!

Granted someone should not be posting drunk or under the influence of anything.

The question still stands though...what about at the request of the poster?

Your posts become the property of the company . so they are not your's any more!

Posts may be removed from "public" view, but are not deleted from the servers.

Of course they record who you give stars to . If they did not, you could give stars again to the same post I know this because I did something similar for one of my websites lol

I honestly was curious about that...all the off topic and other violations...so I wasn't really clear on that.

Ever check the "subscriptions" link in Tools? Good way to see where "that thread you posted to, but disappeared" went... usually the Trash Bin.

The team we had in place to log all of this recently jumped ship...



The chubby one was in charge of that section...
