Don't know if this is the right place to say this ...

Guys ... please remove that ad. It's WAY to disturbing. It just ooozes evil right out at ya'. I could deal with a still picture, but that moving one is just really bad. It's not like you can look away or ignore it. It's right there in your face. By now you know I'm not a religious fanatic or a silly scared little girl ...

This thing is just awful. Sorry.

Anyone else wanna' comment?

(I'm sure I'll get flamed ... private business they can do what they want, etc etc ... sure they can, but they can also listen to suggestions. And that's mine. )

Which is more bothersome and disturbing, the ads that display fictional evil like this?

Or the very real and exponential growth of evil among humans all over the world?

At least with the movie it begins and ends in 2 hours or less.

ATS doesn't have to promote evil, it's doing a fine job of that all on its own..... And, ultimately everyone really does have a "devil inside".... At times the truth can be more frightening and stranger than fiction.

I haven't seen the ad, but I got curious and looked up the trailer. I understand why some of the images might seem disturbing to some people. I'm definitely not watching that movie alone at night.

I'll keep an eye out for the ad, though

I hope it doesn't have any sound like one particular annoying video game ad that gets on my nerves.

yea.. S&F for this .. !

4 years ago when I sign up, i signed up because there wouldn't be any ads for members.. but, now that I'm a member, ads have been increasing in every place on ATS no matter WHERE i go, yes, even when i'm signed in, home page, recent posts, pick one... they're there !!

so .. yea.. i'm pissed.. but i guess ATS is no different than any other Corp out there.. it's all about the $$$$$$

But the true evil remains, never goes away.... Kind of like persistent cookies.

Too bad we don't have this "refresh" button for humanity eh?

Just curious; how are you seeing these ads?

I haven't had to look at ads since I made bronze level contributor a long time ago (200 flags). I figured someone with the gold border wouldn't be bothered with this stuff anymore. The only time I see ads is before I log in which is the first thing I do when I come to ATS.

I recommend you use this so that you don't see garbage from any website!

Does that block ads? I thought that was forbidden by the T&C:

Some advice you want? Watch all the horror movies that scare you and after you watched them you'll see after a while when the immediate feeling of fear fades away that nothing related to what you watched (demons, ghost, etc...) will scare you anymore. That is when it comes to entertainment. Not if these things were to appear in real life.

It worked for me. Until now there isn"t a single horror movie that I have watched so far since that day, that has managed to strike fear in me. It feels great being fearless of things which you used to have fear of.

I've recently started doing that with movies that used to scare me when I was little. It has been really interesting seeing the difference between what I remembered and what the movie was actually about.

Try that with this movie sometime...

contagionmovie.warnerbros.com...#/trailer

What is more terrifying, the fear, or the very real possibilities?

Not get that one.. think due to regional ad targeting. actually dont get many ads at all here on ats (and since rooting and install adblock on my mobile get even less ads its cut out 99% of the ads. also removed all the bloatware and rubbish when rooted my mobile )
Have you tried a pop-up / ad blocker on your browser ? maybe that would help ...
