US non-lethal weapon

www.bbc.co.uk

An alleged US military wish list of real and conceptual non-lethal weapons has been published online.

The document includes improvements to equipment already in use as well as proposals for new technologies.

The list includes lasers and heat beams designed to disperse crowds, and nausea-inducing sound waves targeted at scuba divers.

Haven't read the whole document the story mentions yet myself, but should be very interesting!

Wonder how many of these 'wanted' weapons are actually already a reality that we know nothing about yet, or are at least already in development?!

The 'crowd control' one is of particular interest, especially with the Occupy protests going on, bet they'd love to be using that right now....

I beleive the things that we know of are lightyears behind the tech currently in production or already available i mean you look at the Lockheed SR-71 Blackbird, that was around in secret in the late 60's early70's IIRC and the general public did'nt know about it for years after!

Where do I get a catalogue?

Just joking, I would not mind some of that stuff in a SHTF scenario.

President Johnson made a public announcement of the the A12/SR71 programme on 25 July 1964 - 6 months before the SR71 flew. This is a partial newsreel of the announcement -

What's just as bad is the sea life will be affected too, who knows the range of this weapon, I feel sorry for the sea beasties who will be driven mad by these sound waves
