The noosphere concept was was pioneered by Pierre Teilhard de Chardin in the early-mid 1900's. It's described as an evolutionary extension from the "Biosphere".

Pick up the book "Neurosphere", I have it but my wide range of studies has sidetracked me from finishing it, or rather the noosphere portions. The author, Donald Dulchinos, seems to build a case that the "noosphere" exists, but i havent been able to study or scrutinize those portions yet, nor do I honestly have time to research that huge page you linked there.

"It" may exist, but I cna offer another explaination of it, or rather the "group think" aspects. First off, if they can meter psychological activity it doesnt necassarily mean there's an actual collective "ESP" effect, it could just mean that the minds, that are in the know, are putting off stonger waves. Differing tests, many probably already tested and verified, could help the study based on the amplitude of projected brainwaves based on situational effects of the events.

Second, to address the "group think" phenomenon, that does exist, this can be explained with neuroscience. In the brain there is a section with specific and unique neurons known as "mirror neurons". Mirror neurons are critical to learning in relation to most specifically human interaction. Basically, when you watch someone do something, your brain "records" it as if you were doing it yourself. It's the science behind "sheeple"; what happens is people learn their behavior from viewing others, and if accepted and reinforced it eventually forms strong bias in the brain.

This effect is greatly amplified with things TV, and is perfected after decades and generations of tv group think. This could explain our current political and massive ignorance epidemic situation. I wouldn't mind watching that show you seen, but I got rid of cable

Moving on, this is an interesting line of research actually, even just the current day spectrum. It can get into subjects like ESP and more. If you decide to research this scope then I also suggest you get "The Mayan Calander and the Transformation of Consciousness", by Carl Johan Calleman, to see it get real interesting. Interesting stuff in there, but my studies of it also fell under the same circumstances as the other book. Eventually I'll get back on theology and take a better look and research its claims.

Into the future, whatever this nooshpere really is, it's positioned to "evolve" into the neurosphere, and not just according to Dulchinos. For details on that check into my signature links, this is my specialty subject.

Okay, lets say its safe to suffice that there are simpler people out there... for those who couldn't... or chose not to... understand the above post... I shal bring it into even simpler terms.

IgnoranceIsntBliss doesnt know his own verbal strength.

The idea of the experiment is to randomly make arrangements of colors, really fast, over a long time. These patterns are recorded, and the information is observed later.

What they are looking for is if the random arrangements form patterns during certain world events.

If they do, then our own conciousness affects the world without us physically doing so.

If it doesnt, then... well, the threory just wont be taken as seriously any more.

If they can irrefutably prove that people in remote regions are affected by events across the globe, that would give them credance.
