Ok just want solve a mystery please all ! Lava flow or not ?(first post)

Iron is my best guess. I based my guess on the fact that the color was evenly spread, top to bottom on one wall face of mountainside.

Would be interesting to find lava SEEPING out of the ground or mountainside, rather than flowing from a caldera ... but, I still think this is iron.

Just my unvulcanologist opinion.

The color is determined by the mineral that is in the deposit. Iron, (very red) there is a large area just North of Reno Nevada that looks just like yours. if you look at mineral deposit maps you can see if it looks the same.

some places let you look up ore deposits by country maybe you could see if areas match mineral deposits of any red kind

Oh also did you try to find a place you can totally zoom in, a lot of times you can see for yourself whats there.
