***BACKGROUND/FYI***
I've been singing/vocally trained for most of my life, but these days I just do it for fun
Recorded this in my friends' make-shift studio recently (it's not the re-mastered audio, but still decent quality)
The song is "Everybody's Free", a track on the Romeo & Juliet soundtrack, sung by Quindon Tarver and then remixed for Baz Luhrmann's "Wear
Sunscreen".
as a dedication and a reminder...
The world is crazy.
That is one thing we can all agree on.
I wanted to send some positive energy and love your way as a reminder
that you are never alone in your struggles.
Remember...
Treat everyone you meet as an extenuating set of circumstances-
you never know what's going on in others' lives,
or how much suffering they may be experiencing.
We could all use a little more kindness and understanding.
And though we may not always see eye to eye,
we are FAR MORE SIMILAR,
than we are different.
And it is those differences that make this life worth living.
And hell,
this could be our last year on Earth!
So, cheers to you my ATS brethren.
Also,
a little photomanipulation art I made- "NAMASTE"
We are all angels with one wing:
we can fly only by embracing each other.
TOGETHER, we can make it through anything.
Do not go on Xfactor, if you dont win it would destroy any reputation outside of the fan base you currently have. You have enough talent to do gigs
and build from there, youtube promotion, facebook, myspace - jump on somebody's media TV in your area like SBTV. People need to stop jumping on the
monopoly the media companies shave on us, if we all listened to local talent like your self we might not be in as much as a pickle as we are. Theres
enough people/money in your area for you to have a nice career without having loooooooads of money.
You have a good voice. Ever made any of your own materiel? do these type of ballads suit you best? Sounds like you have been doing it a fair bit and
maybe know your voice.
Thank you for sharing yourself with us. A bold thing to do on ATS.
I find the human voice to be the most beautiful instrument ever. Though I favor the female voice personally.
I love singing, but it's not my calling. Dance is where my heart is.
So, no X-factor for this lady, but maybe SYTYCD- auditioning in a few weeks eek!
I definitely have a passion for music, but I'm not a prodigy, nor am I an expert in songwriting/composing.
That being said, I have no desire to pursue a musical career because I would give the label/producers hell (and I mean when, not if) because they
control every aspect of one's career in this field if you can't/don't produce every aspect of the music yourself.
Dance has somehow managed to maintain its artistic purity for the most part. I have no issues dancing someone else's choreography- in fact, one of
my goals is to tour as a principle dancer for a mainstream artist- would be SO much fun! And/or do music vids- broadway is not my thing- most
musicals I find insufferable. If I decide to stick with the dance thing, then my goal would ultimately to be a choreographer/director for shows in
LA/Vegas(like Cirque), and/or music vids/concerts/etc.
But I digress
Thanks for watching y'all, I hope you were able to feel my passion and love, and that the message behind this thread brought you some happy happy joy
