Pamela Anderson is a dizzy blonde that can't act!

About everyone in the entertainment world are dizzy, liberal radicals!

Chickens were put on Earth to be fried up for dinner!

Plain and simple.

Plus, their eggs are good.

I'd be interested in how you extrapolated my post to reach this conclusion.

I'm assuming it's on the basis of the word 'vegan', as opposed to a stab at my not having a very good grasp of biological taxonomy ?

You wondered if the killing and eating of animals extended to humans as well. That is absolutely ludicrous as is the militant vegan tenet "a rat is a dog is a boy"
If you believe killing animals for food is no different than killing people for food then my extrapolation was correct.

I'm not really sure I follow your point.

I wondered if it extended to humans, this is quite true, but here you describe the question as "ludicrous" - should I not wonder at things then ? - or are you describing the question as ludicrous from the subjective perspective of your chosen lifestyle ?

(... the latter, I feel).

If I follow your logic, your original post "maybe" excluded humans and panda's from a viable food source - is this somehow different in principle to the rat/dog/boy thing ?

(Please don't take this as inciting any kind of flaming by the way, I mentioned that I was vegan purely as a context to the question, not as an affirmation of one lifestyle over another).

Please don't take this as flaming - I'm asking to gain understanding that's all (for context: I've been vegan for years) - but would this include ([killing &] eating) humans too - or would that depend on the circumstances ?

Actually - this question is an open one really, not just for Simcity4 ...

I eat meat like no other yet I would eat a flower growing from a cow turd before I would roast somones butt cheeks over a fire.

I haven't read all the responses so forgive me if I am repeating someone else.....I think the problem here is the video that was release with idiot humans stompping chickens and smashing them against a wall...just because we may kill something for food, does not mean it can't be killed humanely!

You're absolutely correct, that animals raised for human consumption should not be abused. As a youth, my uncle had a cattle ranch (along with several other "farm" animals), and every once in a while we would take a few of them to the "sale"barn or slaughterhouse.

I've never witnessed anyone abusing these animals, knowing good and well the reasons that the were being raised. To be eaten.

It was just a fact of life and we accepted it.

I'm not PETA (I think they're too radical of an organization), but I do treat the chickens, pigs, and cows I've fed in my life, with a little dignity, even though they were animals.

Kentucky Fried Chicken has always been "the bomb" and always will be my favorite fast-chicken. Pamela Anderson needs to approach this situation differently if she's got grievances, than to start a nation-wide-boycott against my KFC.

Yes the question was ludicrous from the subjective perspective of my lifestyle. That is all I was getting at. I understand you are not flame baiting and neither am I. I fully respect the choices of others and actually I was really just being my flippant glib self ie) the Panda reference.

But come on, "wondering" if us carnivores find it ok to kill and eat humans too? I don't think you really do anymore than I think it's ok to eat those tasty succulent bamboo fed pandas. Peace.

PETA is too extreme. They are also a stupid organization. They run campains like boycot KFC. Its a campain that will never work. If they were smart they would work there way in quietly and smoothly. But no they run too people eatin KFC and yell at tehm that they are killers or go to schools with buckets of blood. THey could do it smoth and work there way up but they dont.

Regardless of the messenger, the message is valid. Buyers can command a certain amount of control over suppliers, meaning, KFC can tell someone "Your practices are inhumane, therefor we are no longer going to buy from you if they don't change".

PETA can be extreme, it's true. But animals raised for food don't deserve to be abused and treated inhumanely during their lifetime any more than cats or dogs. Even if you don't love, pet, groom or walk the animal you can respect it. There's no reason to cause these creatures pain and misery during the time leading up to their dispatch. We're supposed to be smarter and better than them, but this behavior makes me wonder.

And I don't see what being in the south has to do with anything. Inhumanity is dispicable at any point on the compass.
