No - it keeps saying "Ron Paul wrote" and "In his letters Ron Paul said"

BULL.

Paul, a Republican obstetrician from Surfside, said Wednesday he opposes racism and that his written commentaries about blacks came in the context of ""current events and statistical reports of the time."

Paul said allegations about his writings amounted to name-calling by the Democrats and that his opponents should focus instead on how to shrink government spending and reform welfare.

This shows he was talking ABOUT the newsletters...these are not quotes from the newsletters themselves.

Hey let me put it to you this way; even IF he was a racist, people would STILL vote for him.

Why?

Because they agree with everything else he says, and those matters are several magnitudes greater in importance than what the other candidates have to offer.

But he is clearly not a racist, just do some research ok? I get the impression you did not bother to listen to even one of his speeches, because this matter is quite clear everytime he mentions equal liberties for everyone, regardless of race or colour.

Also even IF you somehow proved he lied ONCE(which you failed to do this time), he has been proven consistent on so many matters for 30 years so you really think that would matter when compared to the other candidates, or even Obama who are all proven liars?

You really think you will sway anyone with a brain that way? And only people with a brain support Ron Paul...
See the dead horse yet?

Bit confused...alot of newsletters were written...the stuff they were asking on CNN about jews and stuff...thats not in this...

Are we trying to say because he was aware of some of the letters that therefore he knew about all of them??

THESE ARE THE SAME LETTERS?? SOUNDS LIKE DIFFERENT LETTERS>>>YOU ARE TRYING TO IMPLY... THIS PERTAINS TO ALL THE LETTERS EVER HE READ AND WROTE....

OK nice try...

PS YOU EVER RUN IN TRACK? OR COMPETE IN ROBOTICS? Black and Asians typically are drawn to these areas and do exceeding well at them...its not judgement...and its not like racially we can't do other things...

....Racially there are differences....that does not mean there is judgement because of the differences...he implies unity because of the similarities...get it straight...

IF THEY DO NOT SOUND LIKE ANYTHING HE HAS EVER SAID, MAYBE HE DID NOT WRITE THEM...
You want me to actually believe that PAUL wrote them, and therefore, everything has ever said was a lie...man that guy is a heck of a liar...LOL you really think that...??

I hope you get paid for this, because is gonna really cost you if he loses the election...I am betting they get more outta you then you will get outta them...enjoy the silver Judas...

What I'm saying is that the article is NOT saying what you are suggesting it is.

This was supposedly in 1996 about letters from 1992?
So how does that show he had knowledge about them when they were published again?

There is nothing here to show he knew about the letters when they were published.

And it's no secret that he has addressed these letters NUMEROUS times.

Yet...people like you keep bringing them up because IT'S ALL YOU GOT.

Just thought it should also be mentioned that those that want to charge Paul for lying are doing it under the conditions that Ron Paul wrote every newsletter and not just some at a certain time.

So they use the one example about when Paul comments about criminal blacks in DC, of which i believe Paul admits were taken out of context, and try to justify this as him being aware of all the newsletters written.

Its slippery slope line of logic and as i said before, the major letter in question isnt proof of racism.

I makes sense in the way that it clearly shows what the author(op) is searching for.
(and hopes to have found it)

Can we stop with the Paul threads? They are a waste of time and you it. As I have said before, Paul supporters could watch the man eat a baby on stage and then yell at you for bringing it up.

The sheep calling other's sheeple. Just let the GOP machine eat their dreams and stay out of it.

Paul actually addressed this back in 2001 in the "Dr. No" Texas monthly article:

"His reasons for keeping this a secret are harder to understand: They were never my words, but I had some moral responsibility for them . . . I actually really wanted to try to explain that it doesn't come from me directly, but they [campaign aides] said that's too confusing. "It appeared in your letter and your name was on that letter and therefore you have to live with it."' It is a measure of his stubbornness, determination, and ultimately his contrarian nature that, until this surprising volte-face in our interview, he had never shared this secret. It seems, in retrospect, that it would have been far, far easier to have told the truth at the time."

At the end there, Texas Monthly summed it up best. He became aware of the questionable content when Lefty Morris brought it up in the 1996 congressional race, his campaign convinced him it would get too weird to try say he didn't write it, and most of the content is actually significantly less inflammatory when read in context (to the point of actually being fairly common 'conservative' fare for the time period).

I just wished that would help more than it's likely to, given the testimony of his life and legislation otherwise.

He/she can't vote.

The location on the profile says "Narnia".

Narnia isn't an eligible voting district within the USA.

Never mind, apparently Narnia is an actual location in the USA. I found the weather forecast for it...

Oh look... another anti Ron Paul thread loaded with LAME "evidence" that has been brought up and rehashed over and over again and this exact same point has been addressed years ago.

Ron Paul has openly stated that his campaign advisers of that time period asked him not to explain what really happened because it would be "too confusing: for voters. Looks like Ron Paul's previous advisers from the 90's were correct. Just look at how confused they are now, 2 decades later.

I have noticed a trend on this issue. Guys like David are grabbing onto every single news article they can find and running with it as if it were 100% truth. So if that is the case, how do you respond to Wolf Blitzer in 2008 saying, " I got to tell you Congressman, we've talked a lot over these past several months and when I saw these newsletters, and I didnt know anything about them until I saw the article in the New Republic, I was pretty shocked cause it didn't sound like the Ron Paul I have come to know and our viewers have come to know at this time."

You can find the quote in this video, which has been plastered all over the boards these past few days of Wolf Blitzer interviewing Ron Paul about the issue. Funny thing about this clip, is I thought it was actually recent. Well it is not. It is from 2008 and proven by the banner that says, "America Votes 2008" at the bottom of the screen as well as the news ticker. I am the kind of person who takes NOTHING at face value, not even on issues I support.. I question everything. So my first thought after really watching this video was is it possible that the whole interview is faked? Maybe someone took old Ron Paul clips and clips with Wolf and put this together to try and make Ron Paul look good... well no. If you read the newsticker at the bottom, there are things being reported that all happened at that time era. The one that stuck out to me was "The Atlanta Falcons are considering USC's Pete Carroll for the position of Head Coach." Being a football fan and knowing more than I probably should about Football, I know for a fact this happened in 2008. It was in 2007 that Atlanta's Head Coach at the time , Bobby Petrino resigned 13 games into the season, in his first year as head Coach with a 3-10 record, to take the Head Coaching job at Arkansas..a College Football team.

Anyway... here is the clip. Fast forward to the 3 minute mark to hear Wolf Blitzer himself say, "This does not sound like the Ron Paul I have come to know" and it also proves without any doubt that this issue has been ongoing. It has been reported on. It has been used before.

Lol you wont change the mind of someone with ulterior motives.

This thread and the author are a joke. His avatar says stand up for the middle class and poor. Yea? And which candidate will do that?

This is hilarious though, considering this is all the trash they can dig up on paul.
One bad thing and paul is ruined? But of course romney and newt can be complete disgusting excuses for humanbeings and they are considered electable.

Also, youd be completely ignorant to think romney and newt dont secretly have a little racism and classism as well...

Once you become a Ron Paul supporter, your IQ jumps probably 20 to 30 points and everyone who is against him become sheeple. RESEARCH DR. PAUL AND STOP TRYING TO REGURGITATE MSM TALKING POINTS, AND SOON YOU WILL SEE WHY WHAT I SAY IS TRUE AND CORRECT.
