Traveling Along the Astral Plane

Please don't comment harshly, I'm really interested in this and have to ask a few questions about this before I fully dive into it. I know I could do it because I've caught myself half-way on many occasions. I back-out every time, I'm too fearful and I've been told being fearful attracts negative beings and I don't feel like attracting negative beings to my home.

So here's a few questions for you guys, please enlighten me:

I live in a church, can negative beings come to one? I'm sure I'll see alot of souls, but will any try to harm me or is there something about churches that is sacred?

I'm not going to take advantage of doing this, I'm not just going to look around aimlessly. Every time I willingly do this, I'm going to have an agenda. One of the first things I want to do is visit my friend that passed away last year. I heard it was possible to do. So I was wondering if I could do that. Also, she passed away in a car accident. When I see her, would there be scars on her face or would I see her how I remember her? I'm only asking because I don't want to see her all scared up and react differently then I want to. I don't want to hurt her feelings if for a moment I shudder or gasp or react differently. Hopefully understandable.

Another question. How do you move around to far places? I'm talking town to town? Can I just "will" myself there? Can I just think "I want to be (destination)" and i'll just appear there?

Is it possible to learn things or better myself in the Earthly plane. I was wondering this because If so, I wanted to know how/who to talk to on how to. Because learning new things is amazing to me, knowledge is power. Is there someone I can learn things from?

Can I really save lost souls?

Last one. If I encounter a negative being that wants to harm me, will I feel pain? Also, is there a way out of it other than returning to my body? I was also told that not having fear of them makes them go away. Can I just go somewhere else, like will myself to a new location and not have it follow me?

Hi! I don't know very much about astral travel. But I do know about the spiritual realm. I'll give you my opinions if you'd like them. First, any being can come into a church. Just because it's a church - it won't keep any 'bad guys' out. Second, if a spirit being wants to see you and knows how to find you, then they will present themselves in a way that you will recognize. So, if she incurred injuries during her accident, she probably would not show that off to you. But if she had facial scarring during this life, she may or may not choose to bear them when you see her. Can you save lost souls? My answer would probably be "no". The soul/spirit must WANT to turn to the light. Could you maybe talk one into turning into the light, maybe. Can you feel pain? I doubt it, but I don't know for sure. I know a spirit being does not have any pain. That's what I know about the subject, take or leave it. Good luck to you

I think depends how far you go, but any spirit can go wherever it pleases from my experience.

I cant say anything about you friend for i do not know.

Ive been told you put your intention with your brain would be to move places but have never been able to move myself, but i am quite inexperienced in astral travel.

You can learn things, but i find you usually forget upon return to reality.

you cannot save anyone.

I don't think you can feel pain, but you can feel guilt and fear.

If i where you i would just work on getting their and staying their at first, as soon as i get out of my body i always get excited and end up waking up, i find this very hard to get around lol.

You don't have to worry about offending me. I don't believe in god the way most people do. I most certainly believe there is a higher power. One that is the overseer of all and all of that, I just don't follow the bible. And I don't believe in heaven, I just believe in reincarnation.

No problem. I just wanted to find out as much here as I can before I try it myself. As I said, I live in a church. I'm certain this place is filled to the brim with souls. Maybe I'm wrong. Return to my body, turn the light on and freak out knowing that there are people in my room just looking at me and I wont be able to sleep.

Well, it just may be and I think you ask an essential question here.
One might say the world is made up of two kinds of people.
Those who believe this and those who do not.
There is a "seems to be-ness, at least the easy illusion of, indications that it is possible, and so, if so, why not give it a shot?

I can't if I have fear. Negativity is thrived upon by fear. Not to mention, how could I sleep knowing I just saw something really in my room but now I can't see it and I don't know where it is?

It sounds to me like you are afraid of negative beings. If you meditate before-hand, and surround yourself in the white pure light, see yourself with the completely Angelic beings that are probably around you anyway, then ask them for their protection during your astral travels, they will travel with you.

Now, IF you should see a being that is frightening to you, you should know a few things about this. Firstly, not all beings that appear frightening actually ARE... sometimes it's just their look, ya know? Secondly, they cannot hurt you (even mentally or emotionally) unless you agree to it. So what you should do is simply ... disagree. The process: 1st disagree. 2nd see yourself surrounded with the totally awesome angelic figures and the white light (just thinking about the white light, as seen in NDE's, will actually bring it toward you). 3rd ignore any bad feelings you get. A being that is there to scare will go away if ignored. Just like that kid on the playground that is annoying. If they are not getting a negative response from you, they are not getting what they need out of the relationship with you.

Knowledge will take away all fear. I suggest reading some cases of NDE's to familiarize yourself with the spiritual realm. That is where I get most of my information from. I also intuitively know some things. But by far, the most of my info comes from the cases of NDE's that I have studied. www.nderf.org is a good place to start.

I don't know if souls really have need to be in a church. What you may be feeling there is the fact that YOU yourself are surrounded with souls who are here to help and guide you. Maybe the peaceful nature of the church, and the quieting of the mind that comes along with that, is what is making you sense them easier there.

Exactly. I don't want to say I'm a wuss.....but I really am. I get scared so easily and I'm very fond of trying this. I'm just worried that I'll get TOO comfortable with the goodness of it and then meet someone bad and change my whole opinion.

So all I have to do is ask them to follow me in my adventures? Can you tell me how I can go about doing that? And also, I just have to think of the white light and it'll come to me?

It is very rare that you will attract negative beings, however what is much more likely is that you will create them.
This is a phase where your thoughts can and do affect reality, so being positive is the best thing you can do.
There is nothing to fear expect fear itself, so don't fear anything.

Souls won't try to harm you most of the time (very very rare). And even if they do, they wont be able to. Just don't try hurting them, they probably need help to get to other side.

It is possible to meet those who have passed away, I have met some personally, and I saw them as I remembered them, however none of them had been in any accident that left scars or such, so I don't really know.
One thing worth mentioning is that most of the time the agenda goes right through the window the moment I enter the astral releam, it may be diffirent for you, then it may not be.

There are a few ways of doing so, one is the way you just described (teleportation):
Close eyes-> "know" that you are at the destination-> open eyes.

Then you can just fly there, flying is really cool.

Yes there are, Your best teachers will be your guides, call out to them soon as possible. Do not be dis-hearted or fearful if they do not come at once, they will come to you when they will. Just keep asking them to come up once in a while.

Yes you can. they just need to be convinced that they are dead and that its okay and they can now pass over to better places, you will know what to do when it comes to it.

You have more energy than any negative being can or will ever have, so if one wants to harm you, you can kick its a** . That it why if you are not afraid they do not show up, as they know they cannot stand up to you. If you teleport to new location, it is likely they can as well. therefore the best thing to do is to stand up to them.

One last thing I need to know as of right now, Are you free of ailments when you do this? What I mean is, in real life (right this moment) I am blind in one eye. Will that go away in the astral plane. Will I be able to see for the first time from both eyes? haha.

As far as I know you will be free of all ailments. I'll just post my experience.
I have varicose veins and due to them was bedridden for about a week, as well as in constant pain. When I astral traveled I was able to walk, run and everything, and not in pain at all. Due to that I would say that you would most probably be free of ailments.

If you have any other questions, do post here, I will do my best to answer them.

Great post! I have same curiosity as you do. I always thought about posting here asking similar advice. But never took the time. Let me know how you do with your astral journey. I too am hesitant to take that plunge. Good luck.
