he did deal with it. cnn interviewed him on that same topic back in 2008.
and he's been asked that same question over and over again, ever since, including
recently.

Then answering a topic that speaks directly to his charecter should be no big deal.

Um... I hate to point this out, but Ron Paul is against the war on drugs. Using that position to make himself look like he supports black people or that he's doing this FOR black people is... well... making the assumption that black people do drugs... and it's... you know... racist...

Seeing the CNN interview on page 20, I saw how he was using his position on drugs to kind of hint that black voters should love him... or his position on drugs proves he's not racist... More than anything else I've read in this thread, this is disturbing to me.

Are you really saying the black community is NOT being unfairly targeted in the war on drugs?

come on...

p.s. that picture was meant to be posted with a touch of humorous tone but I guess we're not allowed to do that anymore?

I came away with a different take on the CNN interview. He did cite statistics on the numbers of minorities in prisons, those there due to imbalances in the judicial system. He did imply it was the judicial system was racist, and I agree.

His position on the waste of tax payers money in keeping people in prison for minor infractions of current drug laws, made sense to me.

May I ask. How many times would suffice for you accept his answer. The same answer he gave over and over to the reporter. What is the magic number that will appease your mind.

To me, it seems, he can spend 24/7 answering the same questions, and it will never make some people happy.

racists call everything racist that doesn't suit their particular form of racism.
i had an interesting conversation over the creation of a massively multiplayer online roleplaying game. the concept was to have various racial type characters available to play, when someone pointed out that if i made a race of people who had african characteristics, that i would be accused repeatedly of being racist if the storyline for them was not pristine and might even be accused of being racist even then. i realized there might be some truth in that since some parts of the democratic party use racism all the damn time to get votes.

so i opted instead, to let people, while in the process of creating their character, no matter what planet or faction they were from, have the option of making it from extremely dark skinned to very light skinned and everything in between (and even a few colors humans don't have) so that there would be no reason to say it was race related.

then someone pointed out that if homer simpson had been a black guy, some racist democrats would come out to complain that blacks were being portrayed as dumb. when people finally get over this whole race stuff, we all be able to go back to being humans and not stereotypes.

The fact remains the q remains unanswered because you, Mask and Presidente refuse to listen to anything that is outside of y'all own box.

Apparently the answers to the questions, and the proof there of suffice for us, hence the reason its no longer a question for us...

It is YOU and people that keep insisting hes a racist, who refuse to accept the answer thats outside of your own box.....

You continually latch on to any anti Paul thread, championing every negative thing against him...

It seems to me that you dont want to hear the facts....

Look at it objectively and you might find somethings out that please you

I'd never thought I'd say this to a supermod, but how about reading the actual thread before coming to assumptions. Or perhaps doing some moderating, attempting to separate fact from fiction. That would be nice.

Nah no moderating in thread if you are posting in it. We simply don't do that conflict of interest and all that
Also, unless you violate the terms and conditions of the site, we the members do a really good job on our own separating fact from fiction.

No number in mind. If the reporter wants to ask 50 times and you feel you have the high ground on the issue then answer 50 times. Better that than have them hitting you with questions you have not prepared for. Plus it also allows you to point out the badgering and that may win you new support and pander to your loyal base

I didn't say that at all. Of course they're being unfairly targeted. Here's what I said:

Ron Paul is using his libertarian position on the war on drugs to imply proof that he's not racist - as if he's doing blacks a favor by wanting to end the war on drugs... It's very much like the picture of Paul with a black patient in the OP. It's disturbing to me...

because he answered it to previous cnn interviewer, and many other interviews. that's my guess. i think the issue is, they want him to rat out the person who did write it, and he's either not sure who it was, or doesn't want the guy's free speech to turn into an international incident. ya know, like it's okay to call christians, red neck hillbillies who have the accumulated IQ of a toad, because it's free speech? well this is the same idea. you may not like someone else's free speech but that's doesn't mean he/she shouldn't be able to have free speech. we all agree on this issue. just remember, it's applicable to everyone. even occupiers deserve to have free speech. now if you go to their house and yell at their front door, various profanities, that's a different ball of wax.

Just an update guys

Was watching FOX news just now and Neil Covuto just did an interview with Paul

He posed the racist question....

And Paul answered it, w out walking off the set......

In short, he admitted negligence, and said that anyone that expects him to be perfect would be disappointed because no one is.....

He was asked quite a few other questions he answered with integrity, including the issue with one of FOXs reporters implying Iowa wouldnt count if he won....

Another reason i like this guy, his integrity is intact after 30 years as a politician

If anyone can grab that video and post it it would be great, not sure how soon we can find it posted!
