Who knows he probably had to answer that same questions numerous time that day,and became exasperated by then or Dr.Paul thinks they're doing it on purpose which is what I think. Now they can write an article stating how defensive he is,it's a no win situation fro him. They're trying to turn this into some kind of reality show, for them it's a game.Shame on the media,we are in the most serious situation our country has been in,in a long time and this is what the media does?Loyal constituents will see through this game and no matter what will stand behind him for the long haul.
God Bless Ron Paul..2012 never give up!

Wow. I cannot believe how finicky some are with their beliefs and opinions. If you spent a little bit of time researching the origin of this document, you will find that Ron Paul had absolutely NOTHING to do with it.

That is simply not true.

This WAS Ron Pauls official news letter...and they made a lot of money off of the subscriptions for them.

Ron Paul directly pocketed money based off of racists filled newsletters.

Don't try to act like Ron Paul had nothing to do with it...not even Ron Paul denies that there were in fact HIS newsletters. He just claims he forgot to read them to approve the content

To bad he lent his name to a news letter that had racist articles in it, wouldn't you think he would want to avoid something like that?

Surely he knew what was being written.

His wife, other family members and some of his closest associates ran the Newsletter, it was not some backwoods publication that he allowed his name to be stuck on.

They made over a million dollars a year in profits from the Newsletters, it was run like a family business.

For you to believe he had no idea what the content of the Newsletters were,
1) Would require you to believe that Paul has such poor judgement of character as to mary a wife who tells him nothing so as to smear his name and
2) Paul's family members had such contempt for him that they never informed him of the hurtful content.
3) You would have to also believe that he handpicked his most distrusted enemies to be his closest associates who worked on his Newsletter as they never informed him of the content either.

So there you have it, for you to defend the man on this issue you would have to admit to one of the most horrendous examples of human judgement in history, and this man would be handpicking losers like this to be on his cabinet to ensure his failure.

Oh wait, you faithful devoted followers will never admit to your God's fatal flaws, but the rest of the country will.

If Mr. Paul quits an interview every time this question is brought up, he's going to be quitting an awful lot.

They'll do anything to get at him and make him look bad in interviews, while dudes like Obama (who no doubt have real skeletons in their closets) get a free pass every time, complete with teleprompters to make them seem articulate, flattering camera angles and lighting, and plenty of time to in which to speak their lies as roses are thrown at their feet.

It's all to do with who TPTB want as president, and it obviously isn't Ron Paul. Another reason to choose Paul, as if there weren't enough already.

Bravo

I would LOVE for the Ron Paul supporters to address any of these points.

For somebody that is always asking for proof and scientific evidence, I can't believe you automatically bought that asking for zero proof just because it fits your anti-Paul, Pro-Obama agenda.

You'd love to see Ron Paul supporters argue those points, I'd LOVE to see the PROOF.

If you want to find out if Ron Paul is a racist, why don't you ask the citizens of Galveston who keep electing him for office? That's where his Congressional office is located.

There is a large Black population there and they would certainly not be voting for a Republican if they thought he was a racist.

Are you denying that these newsletters were put out by an organization that was run by his family, campaign staff, and he close associates???

It's so ironic that you are using the site atlasshruggs2000 as a source when complaining about racism since it's run by that Gabrielle chick that sees muslim extremists around every corner. And it's also ironic that the site is called atlas shruggs since it has NOTHING AT ALL to do with objectivism, libertarianism and Ayn Rand and the liberties associated with these ideologies and charcaters.

actions speak louder than word .Ron Paul has lived the walk, practicing what he preaches.that's why you can't find anything other than this article, that someone else wrote, to sling dirt with.Shame, shame

Ron Paul’s Explanation For Racist Newsletter Springing Leaks

Video researcher Andrew Kaczynski unearthed a clip in 1995, before the newsletters had become an election issue in his district, in which Paul discussed the publication as one of his passion projects in his years out of Congress. He described it as a “political type of business, investment newsletter.”

It’s hard to square this with a candidate who claims that he somehow never bothered to read a newsletter published under his own name that generated as much as $1 million in revenues in just one single year. Even accepting that premise, how many politicians looking to start a publication would just happen to pick a half dozen writers with blatant white supremacist and milita leanings to run the effort?

He's done for, go find another God to worship as this one was false.

I agree outkast.

The thing is, the newsletters true or not
everyone has a right to there opinion.

So I would rather have paul man up to it
then deny it....

Everyone has an opinion.

It's funny that people keep bringing these newsletters up.

It's a non-issue, if you ask me.

Even if he wrote the article and published it himself ... his policies for this country would benefit every man, woman and child (whether black, white, asian, latino, etc.) more than any other candidate's policies would.

I don't believe Ron Paul is a racist. You're going to have to come up with more than suggestive material written 20 years ago to convince me that he thinks white people are any better than anyone else.

BTW, I heard that Michelle Obama was extremely racist. Not that theres a newsletter or anything circulating from 20 years ago to lend creditability toward that. It's just rumored from the way she treats caucasian people in the white house.

I've never heard anyone say anything about the way Ron Paul treats black people or hispanic people.

Just saying.

As a black woman, and as someone who is seriously investigating Ron Paul to support in the upcoming election; I would not like to address the newletters per se' , but rather, the reactions detailed here.

The fact that so many people actually think, as evident by their responses,
" so what if he is a racist",
" that was 20 years ago, EVERYONE was racist"

and my personal favorite:
" I'd still rather have a racist in office that would actually cause change for the good of this nation,"

So, someone who MAY have been racist 20 years ago has completely reformed and can now work towards the betterment of the collective nation ...for change....

HA!

You see. This is the mind set that messes sh*t up for people.

Black people could have gotten behind the tea party; had they not allowed the klansmen , rebel flag wearers, and people talking about "our country" in the ranks.

If you want to talk about how great he is , it may not be wise to start with:
"so, what if he is racist...."

and instead debate the issue's at hand.

just a thought...

Dr. Paul is a beacon for liberty, and consistent about it. The accusations of racism are an obvious smear campaign. The MSM can say, manufacture, and substantiate anything they want.

If you are not intelligent enough to see this, you might was well vote for one of the other pathetic talking heads.

The racism that is Ron Paul is going viral, it is unstoppable now and his ruin will be epic. He should be joining the pizza guy on the sidelines anytime now.

Here's a sample, a peice attributed to him. A handbook on how to kill a "hip hop" "animal" and get away with it.
