This recent CBS poll illustrates just how hard they are trying to black out and silence Ron Paul.

Warning: This will piss you off.

ETA: Nevermind. It seems that this poll isn't about Iowa like I assumed it was, and the "someone else" candidate was literally an option in the poll: "Someone else". Seeing as how Iowa is coming up lately, I thought that it was Ron Paul, and they were covering up his face in order to frame the news around Gingrich and Romney.

827th attempt to hide Ron Paul...

I thought that too, but the shirt doesn't match up.

Unreal. Simply unreal. I don't know if this actually happened, but if it did, its absolutely disgraceful. How is this type of bias allowed? Honestly. It's embarrasing.

Oh, the horror... Such an unassailable screen shot... It tells the whole story... Not...

Still, no candidate was able to win the support of even one in four Republican primary voters, a sign that the voters continue to look for answers in a primary season that has seen Cain, Perry, Bachmann and even Donald Trump shoot to the top of the polls before falling back to the back of the pack. Another poll this week, from the Washington Post and ABC News, showed Romney and Gingrich with 30 percent support - though that survey didn't include "someone else" as an option.

Please note that Ron Paul is sitting at 10%, half of Gingrich and Romney, and only slightly more than half of "someone else."

Research beyond the boob (or You) tube much?

Personally... My money is on someone else...

Maybe out of respect for the other two candidates, they didn't want to put their photos up next to a mugshot of a racist.
Good call CBS

Ah, thanks for clearing that up. For some reason I assumed it was a poll about Iowa, and they were covering his face up to frame the discussion around Gingrich and Romney like they have been doing for the past few weeks.

Do you mind closing the thread? It's pretty pointless now. If not, everyone just unflag it.

Hey, I have an important question. Did CBS actually poll their people for Ron Paul and see him come up at 19% or did they literally poll Newt, Mitt and 'any other Republican candidate'? We hear about the polls before this stage of things where they are running 'Unnamed GOP" against Obama in theoretical match ups..and those are unknown candidates for the sheer what-if factor. Same here?

If they REALLY got 19% specific to Dr. Paul and not a cute play on the poll to say anyone BUT the top 2...then this crosses some ethical lines in journalism they need to be called HARD on and as publicly as possible. This isn't bias anymore, it's ethical misconduct and it ought to be actionable.

^^ Above is a reply to OP...and I see the thread has people speculating that this is what happened...but a link? some solid stats to show? It's such a MAJOR and frankly, LEGAL line they would have crossed here...I'm hoping to hear back a bit more than sniping at the Thread host here for having said anything at all.

S/F for a good thread to get the discussion going..even if it turns out a bit different than first appears... IF...it does.

It depends on who's Kool-Aid you're drinking...

Confining your research to a source that supports your expectations without factoring in contrarian data is fundamentally flawed...

That's what I'd like to know. Kind of makes it a little premature to compare pictures of Jared to the silhouette. You could fit any person to it. I thought it looked like an NBA player with a jersey on.

That poll was on Iowa specifically, not the entire nation. "Public Policy Polling" is a pretty credible source.
