Scientists say Turin Shroud is supernatural
Italian government scientists have claimed to have discovered evidence that a supernatural event formed the image on the Turin Shroud, believed by many to be the burial cloth of Jesus Christ.

This puts a twist on the 2009 post that was on ATS.

www.independent.co.uk...

I am open minded to this subject , I will wait to read other posts on the subject , then make an informed opinion.

LOL! No. This has been proven to be a forgery. Let it go.

But if it's real wouldn't it be away from public eyes? I mean the Vatican will probably make it disappear in a few days

Maybe the Italian scientists are Vatican funded?

After years of work trying to replicate the colouring on the shroud, a similar image has been created by the scientists. However, they only managed the effect by scorching equivalent linen material with high-intensity ultra violet lasers, undermining the arguments of other research, they say, which claims the Turin Shroud is a medieval hoax.

That's crap. Various groups proved how intensly easy it is to make this using only the tools available at the time (both during the life of Jesus and later when it was actually created.) It's painted on, they took samples, proved it, and also recreated it.

Actually, I've seen a docu somewhere with some professor of something showing his class how to make it in real time.

funny, i watched a scientific documentry where it was not only prooved it was not jesus's burial robe (mainly as noone can proove if he even existed), but they also prooved that the shroud of turin was infact most likely the worlds first ever photograph, albeit a very basic type of photo, and that the image was most likely that of Leonardo da Vinci, the man who made it.

here, some reading (which was based round the same study) www.telegraph.co.uk...

Although I personally believe the shroud is not authentic, I think the detractors above should cite sources for their "it's a load of crap" declarations.
