LOL, just reading this I am pretty sure which camera you speak of! anyways, that sound coupled with the eerie shot of trees, gives it all a "creepy" feeling. wish I could hear this where I live.

If only I had time to sit and video the outside sounds and post them on here for you all to figure out........................

OMG!!!! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU so much for posting this! This is the unusual booming I heard! I will never forget it. It went on forever without skipping a beat. I'm in Texas now but I heard it in New Orleans Louisiana in the early hours of the morning when it was still dark out earlier in the year. It was thick overcast so I thought at first that it was storming. It woke me up. I started noticing that there was a pattern, and it didn't sound natural. Then I thought maybe someones loud speakers or even construction booming. NO! It is nothing I have ever heard before! I couldn't even tell where it was coming from. It seemed to be coming from the sky echoing from above the clouds like thunder but completely unnaturally. I opened the window to my hotel room and I listened to it for at least 15 minutes before my husband made me come back to bed. It never rained a drop and It continued on for a while. I fell asleep as soon as it stopped. I don't know what time it was. What do you do in that kind of situation. Seriously! Do you go outside and see if anyone else hears it? Or do you stay safely inside with your loved ones? I wanted to go outside just to see what anyone else thought about it but I didnt. I have more technology at my disposal now so when and if I hear it again I will post a video as well. I feel like we have shared the same exact experience just by hearing this undeniable sound. The more people who speak up about hearing this exact sound the faster we can get to the truth of its origin. Great post. Thanks again.

I promise you, its nothing sinister and merely sounds of modern life. there is nothing of exception here.

Well I'm in Louisiana, but if you mean how far was the noise from me in distance, I don't know. It was impossible to tell where it is coming from except above me....in other words, couldn't tell if it was ease west north or south as it seemed to come from everywhere...just a very loud sound.

Well I mentioned it sounded like a giant blowtorch....who knows? But I haven't heard about anything like that. But I keep going back to the fact that so many recordings sound the same and are nowhere near me....so, could it be something like that? Yes......is it possible for so many places to have gas leaks....probably not. I honestly don't know.

I did that on my other thread here....these are the maps of some of the reports of this sound. You can go to USGS and see if they corrolate. CL....have a listen to these and tell me if it sets off any lightbulbs....a couple sound very similar....and some have the whistling or ringing. You may have to go through a few, but there a a couple which sound just like the roar. I think this sound originates from something atmospheric like this.

No vibration from the ground that I noticed....but the noise was so "deep" you could feel the vibration in your body and our windows rattled....but didn't feel anything under foot.

I posted a link to sounds of the magnetosphere, and that is VERY similar as wel. That's why I keep saying I feel it is "natural". By "natural", I mean of the Earth or universe....not necessarlily common. But NOT aliens hehe.

I work nights, so I have a weird schedule, and I just happened to catch the last one as I was leaving...got into deep s*** because I was late
I just happened to catch it by luck I guess.
