World Peace. Unity is the Key.

Hello my fellow ATS'ers! I'd like to open up with one of my very favorite movie clips - makes me laugh every time! Don't worry, it's a short one



World Peace. It is really tough to envision. I think it can happen and I'd like to demonstrate why.

I have seen many people here and on other virtual places on the web state every reason imaginable why World Peace is not possible. "Man was made to fight". "Evil is in our DNA". "Too many 'bad guys' out there". Etc.... I figure these people have lost hope. But what I'd like to see is less excuses why it's not possible and more reasons why it is. I feel that much of the fighting that goes on on the Earth is more instigated from a small group of Elite, and not from the rest of Earth's people. Just think about the people you know. Your family, your friends, and your coworkers. How many of those people are "evil"? None? Maybe one? I believe that the vast majority of human-kind are a peaceful and loving bunch. We are just dragged into fight after fight and so we are given the illusion that that's the way life is. It doesn't need to be.

The key is Unity.

Lately, I'd say in the last year or so, I have seen more and more people who are beginning to believe that World Peace is achievable. When you look down at the Earth from space, you cannot see the borders that Man has made. You cannot see the fighting that goes on. You see an amazingly beautiful planet.

We need to stand together as a united people to have Peace. We need to believe that it's possible.

Here's the main video I'd like you to see showing how the animal kingdom demonstrates Unity for us. It is called "'Unity' - The Greatest Force in the Universe". It's 10 minutes long and there is the most beautiful and surprising ending, so you have to watch it all the way through.



So in this thread, I'd like to see all the reasons why Peace is Possible. Can we stand together?

I'm going to close with one of my very favorite songs. It's by Nickelback and it talks about what is going on in the world today. It also speaks of humanity standing together (again, this 'unity' thing) to beat this.

Its not homogenization or embracing the inequality of the east however. But it is true equality and freedom wedded together. Mother and Father, Heart and Mind, the way back home or rather to progression.

I read somewhere that if everyone in the world suffered from amnesia there would be no more war. Everyone would have forgotten what they were fighting about.

There's some truth in that although some humans will always find a reason to be petty and start conflicts, no matter how small they seem at first.

This thread got through the "New Topics" section in about 15 minutes, and probably was missed by most people.

Anyway, I hope mankind can learn to stand together. I still have hope.

Global peaceful unification is the most effective medicine of achieving permanent peace in the world!

Great post! As for the unity of the human species? Its already begun! The proof is in humanity learning acceptance and tolerance. We are learning to accept others perceptions without compromising our own. We are learning to incorporate other points of views into our own and in doing so we get a bigger picture. These are exciting times indeed!

Nothing could be further from the truth. There are 7 billion people in the world, and 7 billion different perspectives. "Unity" is another word for "tyranny." It forcibly stomps down dissenting views with the foot of the majority. "Unity" is Orwellian double-speak.

World peace can only come from individual peace and self-awareness.

Its my opinion that we have to be careful of redefining words. One example is pro life. Taken at face value this simply means you are in favor of life. All life but the conservative movement here in the US has taken that and twisted it into meaning only protecting a fetus and yet the vast majority of these people support things like the death penalty and wars. Its my opinion that a label closer to the mark for them should be anti-choice or anti-abortion. These don't sound as nice as pro life do they?

unity is a word to describe a coming together. How people are brought together is a different story but it is my thought that unity isn't good or bad in and of itself its how that unity is used that defines it as good or bad. It is my opinion that humanity can and should unite in acceptance and tolerance. I totally agree that the first step begins with "individual peace and self-awareness." When others begin to see more and more people living and thriving in a self aware and peaceful state they will become curious and explore and then the snowball turns into an avalanche. It is my belief that we are growing or evolving how ever you want to put it into unity as opposed to making it or forcing it. I have to say you make great post. Its great to see from others perspective!

But this "learning acceptance and tolerance" is killing babies in the name of career, convenience and money, putting bars on windows, filling up our prisons, turning many parts of major cities into no-go zones, destroying families through every form of addiction and increasing sexual crimes across the board - all because we've been brainwashed to believe that LOVE=TOLERANCE.

Why on Earth do people fight for evils? Because somebody sold it to them as "good" to sell them the new "unity" of Babel. Are the fruits good at all? No. Yet you think that even greater "acceptance and tolerance" is warranted? Do you the pedophilia relabelled as just another form of sexual practice that should be accepted? Go let him teach your kid. Do you want the person channeling the occult to tell your kid to do it too? They already are. Do you want the serial rapist out of prison because we should be "tolerant" of his needs? Do you suggest that we should accept all these things in the name of tolerance? It's what is killing us, and yet your fantasy of utopia completely ignores the simple fact that tolerance and acceptance must have LIMITS, otherwise the envelope gets pushed further and further unless enough stand up to say STOP. Behaviours get worse and worse as we bend to acceptance and tolerance, neighbours suffer from their neighbours choices, kids suffer as more adults turn on their porn, and society as a whole pays the price. The serpent always works the same and always uses the same deceit - it's attractive and seducing with words that sound good and appeal to your hopes and vanity, yet the fruits are rotten -and despite this, millions still want to insist that more "unity" is required based on tolerance and acceptance. Can you not see the depths of depravity that will result if everyone is allowed to carry on this path. Scriptures show that evil and wicked behaviours continue to spiral downward with no checks. Open your eyes and see the results of atheism and humanism. In just a few decades of this indoctrination, our youngest generations are largely Godless and refute absolute moral principles and yet, they will be the leaders in the future? Can you not see why the last generation will be only continually evil from God's perspective? We are well on the way.

I don't kill babies nor does anyone I know and most of my friends and associates don't even come close to my views on spirituality. Did Jesus not teach love and tolerance? Politicians lobbyist and corporations here in the US have brought the decline you speak of and here is the very sad part. Most of these people of power and influence claim to be conservative Christians.

I am not fighting anyone. You on the other hand appear to be at war and seem a wee bit judgmental. Jesus has some great wisdom concerning these things.

The rest of your post I have to confess came off to me more as a holier than tho rant. I am not sure how you came to some of the conclusions you did from my post but that is your right and I will accept your perspective tempered with tolerance.
