61 days in what? 35 months? Kidding me? 43 spent like 35 weeks a year on Vacation yet you remained silent on that.

Hypocrite!

Just to be fair to you, input from someone outside the US, on US issues is just someone meddling in our affairs.

You are not here, you do not see what American's see.
I am sure you are highly tuned to the goings on in Switzerland.

I am not even going to go line by line, not worth my time to discuss this with a foreigner.

According to that logic, a US envoy in Argentina has ZERO clue about Argentina because he's not Argentinian...what a stupid argument

FYI, I lived in the US for years, travel there about twice a month, and sadly, whatever happens there influences the rest of the world...which means it's beneficial to know about what's going on. Love how you come up with a complete straw man instead of actually debunking my points

In hind sight, I suppose he could have flown an F16, landed on an aircraft carrier, and made a speech with a "Mission Accomplished" banner in the back ground.

Oh, wait, someone already did that....
edit on 12/19/2011 by ctdannyd because: Spell check!

really? That is about as ignorant of a statement as people quoting Palin as saying "I see Russia from my home" (which was really said by Tiny Fey on SNL...not Palin).

The Mission Accomplished was actually an accomplished mission....the mission of THAT SHIP was accomplished. Yet the liberals and media, just like the "I see Russia" comment was taken out of context and grossly misinterpreted.

Good Lord. Really.

But back to the topic. The only thing he has done IMO is the repeal of "dont ask dont tell". While not a popular thing to support, I believe it was a good thing.

Hypocrite would be the case, if I held Bush up as a shining example of all that is good in the World. But, I have not and never would.

But, avoid the other things though.

Never said the US should be meddling in the affairs of others either.
Traveling here does not equate to living here.
And just because other Countries are influenced by America means very little.
I have no say in what goes on in your Country. I would appreciate the same, thank you very much.

During the 2008 campaign, he promised his daughters that they would get a dog if he got elected.

He actually kept that promise -- he did get a dog.

This thread is about Obama! Why would we be talking about Bush in a thread about Obama? That doesn't make any sense! I understand though, you're just hopelessly trapped in the two-party system, ignorantly shackled to the beliefs that the political puppet which you support is better than the political puppet on the other arm of the same puppeteer.

Hopefully one day you'll wake up, but if at this point you're defending Obama when you've clearly had access to information which proves without a shadow of a doubt that he's nothing more than a pro-establishment puppet for the wealthy elite, there isn't much hope for you. Best of luck to you.

He gave 15 trillion dollars to the banks!

It was Poulson under "you know who" who gave banks 7.7 trillion dollars, back in 2008. Another ignorant 'blame Obama' tactic when the real blame lies elsewhere.

That's all stuff he signed. It's mostly stuff his liberal base wanted, and lobbyists in general. The private sector jobs in 2010? Are you kidding me?
He did personally sponsor the Stimulus and the health care reform, if you can call it that. Most conservatives don't view it in a positive light.
So doing a bunch of stuff that your liberal base wanted doesn't necessarily mean it's all good.

Which Obama redirected by the way....not to mention the banks wanted to give it back and Obama told them they couldn't remember that? Oh wait selective memory.

But to be fair, both parties are in collusion with the Fed. And it's not a pretty picture that the Fed with permission from our govt, sent money to foreign banks, including one in Libya, and we know they are still doing it today, and leaving the taxpayers on the hook for it.

www.bloomberg.com...

The biggest borrowers from the 97-year-old discount window as the program reached its crisis-era peak were foreign banks, accounting for at least 70 percent of the $110.7 billion borrowed during the week in October 2008 when use of the program surged to a record. The disclosures may stoke a reexamination of the risks posed to U.S. taxpayers by the central bank’s role in global financial markets.

A good amount of blame does rest with Obama, but he is not the root of all evil. He's not the sole cause of this nations problems and the progression towards tyranny. Obama is not personally responsible for everything wrong with this country, and that's pretty obvious. He's nothing more than a teleprompter reading puppet, an empty vessel through which an agenda is pushed.

It doesn't matter if we're talking about Republican Bush or the Democrat Obama, they're both on the same team. While people argue about which puppet is the lesser of two evils, which one caused the least amount of damage and had the least negative impact, and which one is to blame, the wealthy elite pulling the strings of both sides gain more power. While people get caught up in the two-party blame game, assuring themselves that the politician that they support is good and the other one is bad, BOTH sides are losing. Republicans or Democrats, all Americans lose at the end of the day.

It's a classic case of divide and conquer. Sure, people can disagree on political ideology, and that's what politics is all about. But when both sides clearly are there to push an agenda which isn't even based in the realm of honest politics, and consists of lying to people and doing things against what they said they will, there is no right or wrong puppet. They're both wrong, Bush and Obama. Why? Because they're just mouthpieces for the people at the top of the pyramid controlling this damn country! They're going to push the same agenda whether they're wearing a blue or red jersey! Down with the two party system!

yeah .. that gets me. :shk: We've known for years and years that UBL was probably hiding in the mountains of Pakistan. We've had years and years to consider the ramifications of going in and shooting him. But when word came that they had found exactly where he was ... Obama sat on it and 'had to think about it' for hours and hours. My God, the man is either a dolt or a terrorist sympathizer. Pretty damn pathetic.
