truth truck impounded

I searched for "truth truck" and did not find that this had been posted.

Battle-scarred from skirmishes at the State Fair and the AFL-CIO Labor Day Rally, the "Truth Truck" of a gay-marriage opposition group was resting Tuesday in the St. Paul police impound lot, one place where it might not cause a public commotion.

I don't understand what the driver was trying to accomplish by going to the Edwards rally. Did he really think there would be that many undecided voters at the rally? The opposition group should have found a driver who had thicker skin and a better judgement as to whom they are trying to deliver their message.
