Facebook just censored my support for Ron Paul!

I posted the following (a screen capture of my FB wall) and as far as I know, it is still there.

I have friends who will post about Ron Paul, and they seem to have little to no problems. However, about 85% of what I post has been censored and reposted (and magically stays when someone 'likes' it or comments) and then 99% of all media posted gets the screen I showed earlier.

CAPTCHA for suspicious messages that may contain false positives...

What false positives? The video most recently posted was Ron Paul's appearance on Jay Leno. There was more truth in that video than all the debates thus far.

What? Suspicious content? That is absurd. Maybe some how you got on some watch list. Idk why I am not on one if that is the case, I have posted way more radical stuff than this on the internet and on my FB, never got censored.

You should complain to facebook, see if there are any phone numbers you can find to actually talk to someone.

I've never had ANYTHING ever deleted/censored from Facebook. Let me add that I'm extremely open about being anti-government on Facebook too. I tend to post something anti-government/Ron Paul on Facebook everyday and never had it taken down. Only time something ever gets taken off of Facebook is if you have a friend delete your post because you had posted it somewhere else besides "your wall".

Sorry man.....but I'm tired of these "FACEBOOK CENSORED ME!!!!!!" topics. I'd love to think that they do but I've never seen it happen and I figure I'd be one of the first people they "censor" on a daily basis.

Exactly. I don't think complaining to Facebook will do much. I'm sure they are bombarded with complaints daily and it wouldn't amount to anything other than being added to another "watch list".

I would advise everyone, including yourself Roy to immediately terminate their FB accounts.

You now know yourself through this single instance, they are corrupt.

The question is, what else are they actually doing behind the scenes with your data?

As I said earlier, some of my friends can post things that are anti-goverment, pro-Ron Paul, anti-Fed and other hot button topics with no problem. Just because it isn't happening to you directly, doesn't mean it isn't happening to others. This exact type of logic has led us into countless wars in Vietnam, Iraq, Afghanistan, etc...because "it didn't effect me".

You're saying you haven't yet!!! I've been advertising Ron Paul for a LONG time now. Basically anything I see on this website thats pretty legit IMMEDIATELY gets uploaded to Facebook.

Like during the Occupy protests. Every police brutality video that was posted here BEFORE THE MEDIA EVEN REPORTED ON IT went straight to Facebook.

People would say to me....."How do you always know about these videos before the news reports on/doesn't report on them?"

ATS is awesome for that. Use Facebook and get the word out. No one is stopping you.....yet.

Unfortunately, word of mouth has only so much power in today's society. Instant social communication is one hell of a way to spread a message to many people who wouldn't necessarily discuss certain issues any other way. Plus, I'm sure that is what would benefit them most - adding to the silence. Steal my data, sell it to companies, or whatever else they do - doesn't mean I'll click their ads or buy their products.

Well, In the interest of fairness this single instance has not been verified. It seems, to me anyway, that the opening poster is simply mistaken when he says he has been censored by posting this video.

I, and others, have posted it ourselves after all and no one's reported any censorship of any kind thus far.

I posted it on my page a short while ago and It's still there and from the looks of it Silo has posted it as well.

It wasn't the video I posted, I replied to the post, and that was what was deleted.

You really should ask your friend if they deleted the comment. There is the chance that it was deleted by them, by accident or not.

Wow you REALLY took the whole "it doesn't effect me" thing out of context. I have friends who do the same thing on THEIR WALLS with no problem. I guess the people getting censored must be on a watch list then. I guess I'm not as important considering I literally SPAM facebook with ATS type material.

I'm sorry but I can only deduce that people who are getting "censored" are posting it on their friends walls. Their friends can careless and don't want "political" stuff on their walls so they delete it or don't want to be associated with it.

Apologies for the misunderstanding. From the sounds of it though I'd say your friend would've been the one who deleted your comment then. I'm sure facebook have bigger thing's to worry about in all honesty.

The point is Facebook cannot censor people on an individual basis, well they could, but it would be a logistic nightmare and i dont think any one company on the planet has enough employees to do that, it would make far more sense for FB to track the actual video and just censor it, in which case it would be removed everywhere on everyones account, but its not.

But then maybe it censors it on set parameters such as number of friends activity page count etc, that would maybe explain why its being removed from some accounts and not others as FB code is able too discriminate.

But really?, cant really see that being the case.

It really isn't all that hard to throw some coding in to set up triggers to censor certain topics. Mainstream media outlets use it with their comment sections.

I don't think it is a waste of time, as the more people that see this video, the more truth will be spread, and some people might just wake up to what is going on.

How do you know it was FB who removed it?

It could have very well been your "friend" who removed it, which seems more likely.
