Just been outside for a few minutes, and i saw about 10 in the time i was out there. green and red ones, if you have a clear sky, get out there!!

(there's probably already a thread that I've missed, so if so, sorry)

I'm in Herts, 30 miles North of London, and the sky is clear so I'm off back out. unfortunatly I can't get any film, as all I have is a phone camera, and they don't do night skies very well.

happy sky watching.

PS, are we due a meteor shower?

Edit cos yes, we are due one

No sky for me tonight, failtacular.
I can see just, dark clouds rolling in, and all above me, just more menacing ones coming.

*note, i am wrong, apparently its going to get clearer.
, maybe ill see some later on in my neck of the woods.

It's the Geminid Meteor shower and this year it appears to be a good one.

I was outside last night here in suburban North Carolina for just 10 minutes and saw 6 meteors! That was the most I've ever seen in that short a time period. Especially since this area has quite a bit of light pollution.

It would be cool if one of you guys/gals could get a long exposure photo of some of these meteors. expescially if you get diferent colored ones in 1 shot

Been out an hour and seen 1
clear skies for a change too, chances are the moons probably hampering the view a little. Might go back out in a bit, but it's bloody cold!

So.Calif. Darkness is on the approach and I will be looming from my fortress deep in this desert high, under a
cloudless sky. I hope one lands in my front yard or hits the house or somethin.

yeah, I had green and red ones. I've always been let down from meteor showers of yonder, be it from the clouds or just a lack of any show. But last night blew me away, I went back out for about half an hour and saw a load more. Never seen it like that before, bravo space, you done blew my mind again
