You guys do realize that National Geographic Channel is owned by Fox?

National Geographic Channel, also commercially abbreviated and trademarked as Nat Geo, is a subscription television channel that airs non-fiction television programs produced by the National Geographic Society. Like History and the Discovery Channel, the channel features documentaries with factual content involving nature, science, culture, and history. The channel is owned primarily by Fox Cable Networks, a division of News Corporation. Its primary sister network worldwide, including the United States, is Nat Geo WILD, which focuses on animal programming, including the popular Dog Whisperer with Cesar Millan.

Your ass contains 'factual content'?

I highly doubt it, tho further proof of such is unnecessary and would only make a mess of things - like the FOX network carelessly taking mild facts and dicing them up to be mixed with subtle idiocy and subliminal messages wrapped up in an 'entertaining' package for youz all to ingest.

Fox News is Great!

Enjoy!

edit on 13/12/11 by ThatGuy45 because: Since Nat.Geo. is under FOX network I am still on topic with OP

Hi Hang,

Yes! You are so right.

I think the aliens want to help us - but we are a horrible race so they are scared.

I don't blame them.

Oh, no, no, no!!! Humans are a lovely and loving race. We are twisted under the yoke of a money system that is the soil for the root of all evil to grow in (the LOVE of money). We can eliminate that soil by adding abundant free energy through electrogravitics (for more, see My thread here: www.abovetopsecret.com... )

It is the elite, with Their extreme love of money, who are the evil, ugly ones. The rest of Humanity is beautiful. (If that were not so, society would never have developed at all...)

Then you add in "Cowboys & Aliens", "Skyline", "Battle:Los Angeles" etc-seeing a pattern here?.......

What pattern? you mean the pattern that they make movies that are popular... its a long pattern that has been going for decades on this very subject.

Nat Geo, as they like to be called, is so shady in my opinion.
They are right up there with Popular Science.
When Nat Geo did their 911 debunking, the
lady doing the sultry voice over, sounded like she was
trying to sell me a new missile system at the Pentagon.
Nope don't trust them one bit.
Can u say military industrial complex shill ?

what makes you think aliens are into war and violence? wouldn't you think more evolved living things get, less violent they become? never mind, humans are a bad example...

No quite the opposite , evolution is 'SURVIVAL OF THE FITTEST' if this is true and an advanced species attempts to visit be very afraid.....

humans could be the perfect example

I don't understand how the average "useful idiot" interested in aliens and UFO's doesn't understand the basics of capitalism? Every time I see a thread about stuff like this it makes my head explode. I mean, the religious-like believer fanatics that are deluded enough to think that anything and everything that is related to the subject they are consumed by makes my head explode. How is it they have the intelligence to imagine the greatest of conspiracies in everything they see, but not the intelligence to understand the reality of how the world around them works? Seriously, someone answer that for me.

No, for the millionth time, this show on this channel has nothing to do with some useful idiot's deluded alien and ufo fantasies. It involves nothing more than profit and capitalism (something apparently too complicated for most around here to understand)

But I guess believing in some ultra secret cabal of string pullers that control everything, including involving stupid cable channels and all that happens in Hollywood.....yet can remain an ultra secret organization despite the thousands of people deal with and they control....never mind, I'm wasting my breath.

This has already been on TV. I had to check, but this first aired in May of this year...

And OP, why does this seem to shock you that the National Geographic Channel is showing this? I mean, this could still be purely fictional, but still be a serious account of what could happen if aliens attack. HOWEVER, its main purpose is to ENTERTAIN (and make money for the TV network)

...Nat Geo is not above the need to entertain its audience (even when it is also informing). Nat Geo just a TV channel whose job it is to make money. TV shows like this help to make money. I watched it when it was on in May, and I was mostly entertained by it, and perhaps mildly informed.

I thought it could have been better done, and some of the experts who discussed things about what we know about refugees and occupying forces in the real world really had nothing insightful to add. It wasn't one of Nat Geo's better TV shows.

You are brainwashed into thinking this. The ultimate evolution of man kind isn't to survive. When you are in a survival mode, your advancement hasn't really reached the full meaning of your existence. What separates humans from other mammals is that we are not always in survival modes like other animals. I don't want to get into the whole evolution debate but if there are beings out there that can travel the galaxies, they are highly educated and come from civilizations that are more evolved than us, safe to say. Hence, they wouldn't invade this planet not to concur but rather to explore their curiosities. If these advanced beings wanted resources, there are plenty of other planets they can go to for that.

Rigel4 knows you are right.

There are some small conspiracies, and some fairly big short lived ones.
However the truth isn't a conspiracy, it's just hard to find.

Some people just can't see it!

What if their home planet has an atmosphere, temperature and gravity all similar to those of Earth? If that were the case, then maybe they wouldn't come here looking for resources, but may come here looking for elbow room -- i.e., an entire planet to colonize and call their own. Perhaps (hypothetically, of course) that's the way they propagate their civilization across the galaxy, one planet at a time.

I assume planets that are "Earth-like" are relatively rare (I mean [Earth-like" in the specific sense -- atmosphere, temperature, and gravity), and when it may be possible for an alien race to want the those rare planets for themselves when they find one.
