Former Vice President Dick Cheney criticized Obama's response, telling CNN the U.S. should have destroyed the drone with an airstrike.

"He asked nicely for them to return it," Cheney said. "And they aren't gonna do that."

Apparently Obama was presented with three options, all three were disregarded. Obviously one option was to destroy the drone with an airstrike. One was to go in al la bin laden raid and recover or destroy the drone.

Could you imagine the poop storm of tears if this was accepted and given the go.

What Cheney doesn't know can't hurt him.

Too bad the same can't be said for the Iranians.

Cheney really should spend more time keeping a safe distance from electromagnetic fields, and less time focused on foreign policy issues which he is no longer in "the loop" on.

I'm not sure Obama didn't want Iran to have our tech

I wonder...if we had captured another country's drone over...let's say, New York...and they asked for it back...what would we do? If they threatened to launch an airstrike to recover it, what would our response be? The design was flawed, apparently they don't watch James Bond movies and are unaware of "self-destruct" modes.

They should of had a drop Dick Cheney in with a shotgun option, i hear he's pretty dangerous with one of those bad boys.

I would like to point out that someone who is responsible for the death of millions by hiding behind policy and an army in no way has a dick or balls of any kind; I expect his genitalia would be deformed and look something like Michael Jackson.

If its ok to bomb someone for 'stealing' something
is it ok to bomb dick cheney for stealing the lifes of millions of people?

I don't understand the big deal. Wouldn't it be expected that if you use drones that eventually some of them will be left behind? Bombing would be a huge over reaction. IRAN giving it back...can't stop laughing.

Nah, he would end up shooting 3 children, a dog and then himself.

Ha hahaha yeah.

He's a real mans man, old tricky Dicky. Absolute balls of steel. I love his hawkishness.

He's looking good to eh? lost some weight , not ashen and grey looking. Good on him.

How in their right mind could they think.
A) Send in a drone (spy or commandeered I cant say)
B) Send in spec ops to recover or destroy said drone.
C) Send in ordnance to destroy said drone.
DAM can our gooberment think of ways to avoid war instead of dreaming of ways to send everyone to their grave I think they all are starting to be Richard Craniums.

Like Molly Hatchet said "flirting with disaster"

I can't imagine a drone - - which is always vulnerable to being shot down - - could contain any great secrets.

What could they really get out of it?

I miss real leaders like Cheney making decisions for this country.

Obama has no leadership skills whatsoever.

The clue of Cheney's personality is in his first name.

Decisions to benefit who? or is it whom?

He's got a point. A very quick decision on the field to send in a hellfire missile to blow the stupid thing up and our technology wouldn't now be in the hands of people who want to harm the USA. Even better would have been a failsafe device that would have blown it up on command so that this couldn't have happened. I'd say that the best thing would have been not to be spying at all so you don't get caught, but that's unrealistic considering the anti-American rhetoric coming out of Iran.

Outside of PR not much. They could get it and pull it apart but its not like it would reveal anything they do not already know.
