The reasons for endorsing Paul over the other Republican contenders are numerous and warranted. The differences between their beliefs on governing primarily motivate our decision.

Paul is a candidate who appeals to voters across the political spectrum. He has also been exceptionally consistent in his time in Congress. He doesn't play political games — even with his opponents — and remains truthful to his word. This alone is a redeeming quality in a candidate in today's political sphere.

Despite the mainstream media writing him off as being unable to win Iowa, he is now polling in second place and may even be the most popular candidate in Iowa, given the margin of error.

On the front page too but does anyone know who popular the Daily Iowan is?

Am I right in thinking this is a student paper?
Anyone in Iowa can give us some insight on this paper?

Well it does say "The independent daily newspaper for the University of Iowa community since 1868" on it's home banner. So I'd say yes..it is a school newspaper, but who knows..it may reach a lot more people. However, if it's anything like our local independent newspapers....you usually find them as food wrappers or spare make shift towels

They're right no matter what, and it just goes to show he's gaining support daily as other candidates waver. When someone endorses Paul people pay attention (supporters and non) When other candidates get endorsed it's like ....meh....

I believe it's the paper for Iowa City. They just mention the Iowa State community because the university is the heart of the city. Anyway, it's great to see a big endorsement for Paul in Iowa before the caucuses. I hope he takes it in January, and then we'll see how the media responds. His campaign is definitely gaining momentum and my hopes are higher than ever. Let's hope we can make history and restore our country to greatness.

ETA: I was wrong. I just googled the paper, and it is the university newspaper. Perhaps I should've google it first. Regardless, it bodes well for Paul and we'll take everything we can get.

If voting Ron Paul means your're a saboteur of the Republican party, I say fine, let the party be destroyed. The rest of the republican party is a complete mindless cater_to_the_establishment joke.

Still living in the left right world of poo.
Who cares what happens to the party, as the only thing that matters is the man in the hot seat.
