I am creating this thread in hopes to inspire awe in the minds of those who are interested. I want to talk about beauty.

Beauty is very strange and cannot be accurately described with words. It goes beyond physcial appearances. When you observe beauty, harmony is also presented to you. For me, it's like my perception changes in such a way as to view the right parts of reality at the right time thereby creating an observational wonder of synchronus motion and synchronous activities. It seems like I lose my free will a little bit, and in return see what God wants me to see. I see the universe move and appear in ways that make it seem like it is a divine orchestration, but what I notice is that it is actually my perception that is changing to allow for this kind of observation. It's like my perception itself is fluctuating and communicating with my external reality to grab onto the full essence of every event that is taking place within my focus and observe specific parts at the right time so that all appears to be in harmony.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Beauty is the glory of God which is limited only by our perception of it. Therefore, it is infinite in magnitude. There's no limit on how beautiful things can get. Looking at beauty is the same as looking into the face of God and beholding his infinite glory. A lot of people don't take the time out of their day to silence their preoccupied mind and observe the essence of beauty. My friend, if this is you, you are missing out.

There are certain things that the universe can't have or do without an observer. These are the things I attribute to being God, although God is just a word I use to describe the mysterious nature of our universe. Beauty is one thing that requires life. When you consider the possibility that all is one and that means all is alive, then you see an invisible presence around you that changes your perception of the external world in order to communicate with you. The forms you see take on meaning as if these inanimate objects have something they want to say to you. The truth is, they do. Everything is intelligent because everything is one. Even what is previously considered as inanimate is intelligent because you are observing it. It's in your mind. Your mind is the source of intelligence, and everything gets processed there.

The universe speaks to you through beauty. It's message is, "look how awesome I am" but is not limited to that. Just the fact that life exists is awe-inspiring. We don't need to attach labels to this fact. It is what it is. It's just a mystery.

I feel like at any minute, just because I am letting myself see the beauty in everything, that everything around me could literally burst into action. Let the glory of God unveil itself through you. Observe beauty, and then let yourself see it as more beautiful. Don't do it for yourself. Do it for others.

I think there's a certain beauty in everything. People see beauty in differing ways. I don't believe it has to just pertain to objects, but anything seen or unseen. Even emotions and actions.

Maybe beauty is, the ability to see the wonder at a given moment in time.

beauty is in the eye of the beholder, subjective.
what is beauty to one, may be unsightly to another.

beauty seems to be based on simplicity and symmetry, but there is no laws to beauty either which leaves anything and everything to be potentially beautiful to someone else.

without people to witness beauty, is there still beauty?

When I first met my husband in high school, I really, really liked him. But I was a young, foolish shallow girl and saw only his droopy eye, an injury from birth when the doctor used forceps. It really isn't bad at all, but, I'm ashamed to say, at the time, it was what I noticed most about him. We never dated but were good friends. Later he moved away but I never forgot him. I always remembered that he was kind, funny and ingenious. I totally forgot about his eye.

Years later, we reconnected and, at first - superficially- I noticed it. But the more time I spent with him, the less I saw it. Now, thirteen years later, there is no more beautiful man on this earth, at least to me. I'm so grateful that I had the capacity to look deeper and humbled that he let me.

Love, Gentleness, Wisdom, Harmony, Justice, Beauty, Strength, Firmness, Kingdom, and Crown.

in this ancient writing the meaning of each concept can be found in the previous two, all working together.

When I think of beauty, it is much more than I can behold. I find that I am most fortunate in being able to be constantly overwhelmed and in awe by the sight of the rising sun every morning and to be able to see its rays penetrate the leaves. Being in the presence of beauty, we take it for granted and being without it, we yearn to cherish it.

I don't think I can put it into words, but the first time I've seen this video, I was almost in tears.

Beauty can be found anywhere. Your subjective mind chooses to find it wherever it sees fit, depending on perspective.

This scene from American Beauty really shows you how arbitrary this concept can be. I find it beautifully relaxing. Especially with the music.

How a mere plastic bag dances harmoniously with the wind in perfect syncronization. Bereft of choice and will. It just is. It leaves it's trust with the wind. The wind carries it. Beautiful bliss.

Yes, there are so many beautiful things that go unnoticed daily. It is so important to our well being as a species to notice these things!

Thank you for posting your thoughts, Smithjustinb, they are a thing of beauty.

Is this from the kabballah? I don't know that much about the kaballah or jewish mysticism, but I have examined the tree of life and tried to construe its meaning. When I was writing this post, I was actually reminded of the tree of life and how beauty fits in.

Beauty definitely is subjective. That's why it's beautiful. It's glorious. Glory that only perception can limit and that doesn't have to be limited at all. It is one of the few components of the universe that completely rely on subjectivity for its existence. That's what makes us so mysterious. The fact that there is even a such thing as beauty is amazing. For me, it serves as evidence of God. For others, it may be assumed to be just a form of survival mechanism.

I definitely think God is the essence of life and in it is all these things that are the trademark of life, such as beauty, emotion, and intelligence. In fact, I think life itself is these things. For it is true that where there is life, there are these things. Don't call it God if you don't want to, just call it life. That's what it is anyway. If this life essence precedes life forms, then there is an infinite, formless sea of the stuff of life out there that is waiting for our physical bodies to allow in. This sea would be responsible for the phenomena of life forms to emerge. There is no limit to how alive one can feel just like there is no limit to how beautiful things can be. It is the same phenomena manifesting in different forms. Just as life can manifest as different animal forms. Life seems to be good at manifesting in different ways, but no matter how diverse it gets, it can still be called life, and can still be seen as beautiful as you want to see it.

When I see beauty, It is because I am allowing myself to see what what I'm seeing wants me to see and in that is harmony and acceptance which is love which brings about a divine orchestration of perfect harmonic movement.

When you decide to look at something as beautiful (it doesn't matter what it is, it could be anything and everything), then what happens is you completely change the way you are processing information. The more beautiful you see things as, the more you are changing how you process information. It gets to a point where you wonder if the entire universe was created for your enjoyment. Joy is another one of those qualities that is limited to subjectivity. So surely, life forms were created for that reason. It seems clear to me that life forms were created to embody the essence of life in various specific ways.

It is as it is said in the Bible, "The kingdom of heaven is within."

This my friends is the true meaning of Beauty

Love is the connection, the attraction which exists between all things. It is an energetic reminder that ultimately we are all one and have come from the one Source, from what many would call God.

When you look at something as beautiful, you are in small way feeling this attraction, this energy which connects us all. You are in a small way feeling love for the object or person which is the target of your focus. And deep down you are acknowledging that it is a part of you and you are a part of it. It matters not whether its a simple plastic bag blowing in the wind, or the wonder which is an old growth forest. Everything has some amount of this energy, for everything is ultimately you. But you will notice that in truly beautiful places such as an idyllic mountain stream running through the wood you do not have to struggle to find the beauty because the energy levels are high enough that you pick up on this love without even trying.

What happens when you find the beauty in something is, as I said above, feeling to a certain extent the love (which exists in all things) between you and that object. You are giving part of your own energy to that object, and in return you are receiving some of its energy. Trees, wilderness, mountains, caves and almost anything (even some humans) are a direct tap to the universal energy which binds all things. When you admire the beauty of something, you project your energy forth which in turn creates a vacuum which is filled by the energy of that object. As this object is being constantly replenished by the energy which pervades all, so you actually raise your own personal energy significantly and begin not only to feel the love inherent in all things, but also you will see things from a higher perspective, or in other words a perspective more closely aligned to your higher self.

It is in this way you can use beauty to guide you toward the synchronicities which pave the way for your true life's purpose.

"Which road should I take?" - be still and see which one seems to attract your attention more.

"Why do I keep noticing this person?" - maybe they have a message for you. Perhaps you should engage them.

"This option seems so stupid/difficult/illogical, yet I can't stop thinking about it" - that is because it is where you are meant to be. Put aside your doubts and follow your heart.

The road of your higher self seemingly takes many twist and turns, it can appear difficult and treacherous, but ultimately it will not be. For the road to your lifes goals and dreams will always be the path of least resistance. And it the beauty of it all, the love between yourself and all others which will be your guide and safetly lead you home.

Try and spend as much time as you can being in places of obvious beauty. Take in the energy which pervades the air around you and it will move you to a higher place. Always stop and try and take in the beauty which exists even in the most seemingly ugly situation or location. It will always be there, you may just have to look a little harder to find it. For then you will take in that energy, increase your vibratory level, and all your thoughts words and deeds will be much more closely aligned with that of your higher self, which in essence is your true purpose for being born into that beautiful body known as You.

Love and Light

about 40 years ago, while living in arizona, i was asked to translate passages from french to english.

this was one, it sais the origin was unknown, but tradition was that moses knew of this and it predated the creation of man, being the teaching of the archangels and they mentioned the kabbalah.

it so impressed me that i never forgot.
