Sec 1032 prevents military custody of Citizens, but does not exclude American Citizens from being rounded up, and held in private custody under the rules of war.

Obama says he will veto it, but his administration is the one who requested the provision. Following the passing of this Obama will be able to label dissenters --- including all of us ASTers' --- terrorist, & abduct/kill any of us at his whim. This quite honestly one of the most terrifying acts of legislation ever passed & sadly most Americans won't realize it until their friends and family start disappearing.

Or perhaps Obama's administration requested it so he could veto it and gain brownie points with Americans. PsyOp much...in any case this is a disaster. We live in dire times.

At the same time, people said the same thing for the Patriot Act. And I remember people swearing the very same things would happen then that they say will happen soon now.

So, still waiting...

It's going to pass, and it will be signed. This is is just one last piece of legality they need. There's really no other explanation for all the oppressive laws that have been passed over the last few decades. The federal government wants to pick a fight with Joe Q. Public.

America is going to be in a heap of dung unless the public wakes up and says "No" fairly soon.

The "powers that were" have take miles from our liberties, one inch at a time.

There is no guarantee they will act on codified law for some time (2+years). However if you consider "the worst possible interpretation" The gates are wide open with this bill.....for "Indefinite Detention without Trial" of any person.

SO... Under this act, can a U.S. Citizen bring charges of 'Aiding and Financing Al-Queada' against all those in the U.S. Government and C.I.A. who established, trained, and financed Al-Queada?

What about NATO Countries who financed, armed, and aided Al-Queada terrorist's in the coup against the Libyian Govt?

Aren't they all now subject to this Act?
