First, lets have a look at what water is:

Water is a chemical substance with the chemical formula H2O. A water molecule contains one oxygen and two hydrogen atoms connected by covalent bonds. Water is a liquid at ambient conditions, but it often co-exists on Earth with its solid state, ice, and gaseous state (water vapor or steam). Water also exists in a liquid crystal state near hydrophilic surfaces. Under nomenclature used to name chemical compounds, Dihydrogen monoxide is the scientific name for water, though it is almost never used.

Now look at how important it is to you:

Safe drinking water is essential to humans and other lifeforms

Here is how much water is available to us:

Water covers 70.9% of the Earth's surface, and is vital for all known forms of life. On Earth, 96.5% of the planet's water is found mostly in oceans; 1.7% in groundwater; 1.7% in glaciers and the ice caps of Antarctica and Greenland; a small fraction in other large water bodies, and 0.001% in the air as vapor, clouds (formed of solid and liquid water particles suspended in air), and precipitation. Only 2.5% of the Earth's water is freshwater, and 98.8% of that water is in ice and groundwater. Less than 0.3% of all freshwater is in rivers, lakes, and the atmosphere, and an even smaller amount of the Earth's freshwater (0.003%) is contained within biological bodies and manufactured products.

Now you may be asking yourself, "So where is the conspiracy?"

Here it is:

A 2006 United Nations report stated that "there is enough water for everyone", but that access to it is hampered by mismanagement and corruption

The UN World Water Development Report (WWDR, 2003) from the World Water Assessment Program indicates that, in the next 20 years, the quantity of water available to everyone is predicted to decrease by 30%. 40% of the world's inhabitants currently have insufficient fresh water for minimal hygiene. More than 2.2 million people died in 2000 from waterborne diseases (related to the consumption of contaminated water) or drought. In 2004, the UK charity WaterAid reported that a child dies every 15 seconds from easily preventable water-related diseases; often this means lack of sewage disposal

The human body contains from 55% to 78% water, depending on body size.

My conspiracy is this: In the future, if water becomes more precious than gold, how far are those in control willing to go to obtain this "resource". Has the stuggle for control of the world population, that has been going on for quite some time, also been a fight for control of water? Are they willing to "harvest humans" for the precious water contained within their bodies? According to many resources, water is becoming more and more scarce, and the trend looks likes it will continue. Have "they" known this all along and are fighting to control you for the water inside?

I know this may seem a little out there, but there are possibilities of truth in it.

Yep...Blue Gold.

www.thirdworldtraveler.com...

This site has excerpts taken from Shiva's book, but the whole thing should be read to even get a laymen understanding of where this is going. And despite being written in 2002, it's still spot on...

Great topic and it will become a mainstream issue as water becomes more important than oil...

I think that we would figure out a way to distill ocean water in mass and efficiently, before water becomes as expensive as gold...
maybe I'm just an optimist?

and if it's a conspiracy to kill us off...there's much easier and quicker ways to kill us off. There's some more optimism for you

The battle has already begun. In our area an Italian corporation has applied for a permit to drill 37 deep water wells. Their usage description on the application is hazy and non-specific which should be one reason for denying the application. We have several hundred private citizens as well as businesses protesting this application because the wells will definitely impact our water supply.

I have no doubt this foreign corporation is working to gain control of a large water supply because of the soon to come water shortages. Allowing this application would be short-sighted as well as stupidly incompetent.

Sorry , even though you're in the right area of thought , (tell your dealer i said HIGH ) as soon as i read the - a child dies every 15 seconds - i switched off , think about it ... if thousands of children die from multiple things every second , if thousands of people die from smoking/ drinking / car crashes / and what not ... every second of every day ... after 20 years i dare say the earth would be free of humans .... probably a good thing too ... we mess up too much ... animals know how to survive , but were weak , we let ourselves be dominated by our own kind. Dont just take their word for it , they dont monitor every inch of the planet , they dont even monitor every inch of your city / town / village .... so how can they know the EXACT numbers ? its BS , a reason for all the poor to stay poor and "donate" , and an oppertunity for the rich to tell the poor to waste what little money they have .... look at africa on google earth and tell me WE need to feed THEM.

Yeah, I hear ya, The earth does need a good cleansing.
As third world countrie, alot of their problems are the rich countries that, in a way, force the poor countries to join the world market when they have nothing to offer but their sparse natural resources that is their food. They sell their food, they starve and get sick. With the little money they make they have to buy medicine. Then the wheel goes round and round. And they have to walk miles to get to fresh water??? Why is that? Why don't they move to where the fresh water is? Oh! yeah. The big corporations that own the land and use child labor, like Apple and Nike..etc. need the water to process their raw materiel for the product they make for the West. Sorry I forgot.
Oh! The battle for H2o..ok...sorry. Check out T Boone Pikins. He's a peice of work skum of the Earth if there ever was one. I'd love to see him in Guantanamo with a live feed of his daily life in there.

What if the oceans cannot be safely utilized because of pollution or nuclear fallout....or what if they are unaccessable from certain locations?

If a child died every 15 seconds, that would be a little over 42 million children in 20 years. Even counting all the people that died because of the things you listed and natural causes, with over 7 billion people on earth, and our current birth rate, I would say that there will be quite a few people still left around in twenty years. Also, nothing in my original post said that something like this will happen at any specific moment in the future.....only the potential of somewhere in the future.

Great Thread my Friend

Oh where to begin.....?

For a start, Yet another faceless attack, on America's citizen's ability to live Independently,

This looks like one of the "End Game" Objectives.

With: Food, Water, Health Care, Education, Transport, Law Enforcement, Media, Scientific R&D, Law's,
And last but not least, the Armed Forces, predominately under Federal Government Control,

We can safely operate under the assumption, that we are pretty Fudged.

The fact is, the American Government (Or the Financial/Military/Industrial Complex), has consolidated Everything and the kitchen sink.

We now know (full bloody well), that the real power broker's in Washington DC have long been acting with their own agenda, and in their own interests.

We can only speculate on their "Final Solution", but with the few clues we do have, we know it is not going to be pleasant, as indicated by the Georgia Guide Stone's.

The possible future water shortage, would constitute a "perfect system" to dramatically reduce Global population.

Where there is water life can thrive, and relevant to the self appointed "Elite's", the opposite is also true.

Save Our Soul's.

Just as a afterthought, I think we should prepare for Peak Oil urgently, which relates to this.

Please Citizens of Earth, submit to survival and become at least a "Partial Prepper",
We all know, it's better to be safe than sorry and we should ALL be prepared enough (with food, water and essential supply's), to be able to care for ourselves and our family's for at least a month, should an emergency arise.

It's not Paranoia, it's good planning

If you have read or seen Tank Girl then you would be able to see our actual future regarding the fight for water between the people and the leaders.
