www.politico.com...

Well finally we can put this nonsense behind us. I am so relieved we did not turn a presidential debate into a entertainment show.

That's pretty funny.

Romney said the other day he wouldn't attend, and now Perry said he won't either.

This is a good thing though.

So will it be a discourse by Ron Paul?

Well he was going to be the moderator and choose someone to endorse.

It would be a dog and pony show for sure.

Oh yeah, and Ron and Mitt told him to shove it. There goes about 25% of the potential audience right there.

Sorry. To little to late. This was only going to be a change of sponsor.

I love seeing Trump being made a fool.

But his ego is soooooo big...this just may prompt him to re-enter the race just so he can go to the remaining debates and cause trouble. Or run as third party just because the GOP has wronged him.

I hope so...it would be great entertainment.

What's even funnier is that the other candidates continue to take their cues from Ron Paul.

You know, that guy Bill O'Reilly tells the nation can't win the nomination every night?

I hope he eats his words.

Can you explain how they are taking their cues from Ron Paul?

Sure, Ron Paul was the first to decline...but that's because Trump called him a clown

When i first heard of trump moderating the debate, the best case scenario i saw was everyone declining. this has the added bonus of trampling trump's ego.

oh yeah, and i believe it was huntsman who declined first, not paul.

DRATS! I was looking forward to it! It would have been a HOOT! Trump ... sliding his own brand in every time he could ... biting his tongue so as not to say 'you're fired' every time one of the candidates stepped in it ... the Republicans running for POTUS showing they haven't got even a clue as to how business and finance really work (like it or not ... Trump does ... and he could have asked some great questions). It would have been a GAS! Oh well ...

this is the real world, with real consequences. i don't want to see the presidency turned into a game show/entertainment like something out of idiocracy.

regardless of your views on republicans or democrats, this would be bad for the nation.

Not to quibble, but I believe Huntsman was actually the first to decline, and that Trump only called Paul a clown AFTER some...kind...words from the Paul camp in their official declination response.

Who does Trump think he is anyway ??

Did he really think he could sit there and decide who would be hired or fired as President on his stupid little debate.
Apprentice US President...Donald Trump decides.

I don't like him...he backed off from running, flip-plopped on issues and now he wants Trump circus debate.

Just get lost Trump you loser...your fired !!

Cosmic..

Huntsman was technically the first to Decline. Paul was second. Others followed suit.

The only two candidates with any integrity are Huntsman and Paul, that fact hasn't changed, but it is nice that the others are following their leads.

That's a golden truth right there.

It really does sound like 'Apprentice: US President.' Hm... You worded that well. Kudos to the candidates like Paul who saw through it and declined. With so much at stake and with as much of a circus as our political process has already become, I don't want to see it turn into some reality show with a known attention whore as the host.

What presidential debates have you been watching? The entire election cycle is little more than American Idol with business suits.

Your're right, Huntsman was the first.

The little name calling fight between Trump and Paul is amusing.
