Is this poetry?

Any thoughts?

Sure as the ball will rise
Slips in thoughts of you.
Slow Squeezing so softly
..a dream or two.
The light comes up
The life pours in
You’ll be there for me
No time for dread
All this I can see
just this glimpse
Fast and qucik
Fill me with joy
inside my head
you crazy boy...
time for bed

yes I think so. I write a bit like that but most of the time, it does not rhyme oh time and rhyme = rhyme

I wrote the 'I want' thread and it does not rhyme. I am pretty sure you can frame any creative writing anyway you want. That is a difficult task especially as it is hard to put in 'emphasis' in the written word but writing that rhymes tends to act as a stop or pause.

I like what you have written. It is short and sweet. I try to write to suit what I like and your style is definitely in my like category.


Long sentences, long paragraphs and single spacing can be a struggle to read.

Either way, I liked what you have written and I am sure that it would be in the genre of Poetry.
