Before we start, I ask that anybody with an objection to the premise of this thread to PM me directly or take it up with a moderator. Let's keep this thread on-topic.

No matter who you are, pro, anti Ron Paul or undecided, let this thread be about Israel and Ron Paul, as the premise and the title suggests. If some Paul supporters say anti-Pauls shouldnt go off-topic, then the Paul supporters shouldn't be going off-topic either. We need to be fair.

One of the things many Americans are afraid of is the Israel situation, they think we have this huge responsibility to aid Israel and protect them, meddle in their affairs and determine their fate. The news has some Americans thinking Ron Paul is anti-Israel, hates the jews, wants Iran to go nuclear and he'll let them turn Israel to glass. I don't know where some of these people get their information but I would look into those accusations more before coming to harsh conclusions like that, especially looking into the SOURCE of the information.

Read the full article here: www.newsmax.com...
And decide for yourselves if he is for or against Israel.

We should be their friend and their trading partner. They are a democracy and we share many values with them. But we should not be their master. We should not dictate where their borders will be nor should we have veto power over their foreign policy.

This is not just about Israel, by the way, this is about how we should conduct ourselves with other countries around the world.

I have objected to all foreign aid. I define foreign aid as taking money from poor people in rich countries and giving it to rich people in poor countries. We just can’t keep doing this. We don’t have the money anymore.

Stop and consider America’s policy: We give $3 billion a year to Israel in loans; and we give $12 billion or more in assistance to Israel’s self-declared enemies. Some of these are countries that say they will drive Israel into the sea.

And the most important part of being a supposed ally is.......ding! ding! ding! don't sell guns to their enemies!

We should share intelligence for mutually agreed-upon goals. We should honor our pledge to refuse any arms sales that would undermine Israel’s qualitative military edge in the region.

Israel has nuclear weapons
they have not signed the NNPR
It is illegal for the US ( by its own laws ) to send aid to a country who has nuclear weapons,
and who has NOT SIGNED THE NNPR
Ron Paul is for doing what is legal

Even Iran has signed the NNPR which makes all the retoric against it pale in comparison to Israels atitude and actions...it is also illeagle to treat them the way the US is treating them as the US is a signer of the NNPR too.

Israel can 't survive without Illegal aid money form the US

The ZIONIST government of israel of course HATES Ron Paul For his Honorable stance on upholding US LAW
and giving the mobey to Americans..like the starving homeless and war wounded vets that haven't yet died fighting Israels wars but are going to die homeles and starved and wounded if the US keeps sending its money ILLEAGALLY to Israel

not to mention you have rabbis running around saying Israel did 911 at the request of the US government and is now black mailing the US government into giving Israel even more illegal aid......

Of Course RP knows all this as does an increasingly wide segment of the population who no longer get their information from the ZIONISTstations ( haha INFOTAINMENT tv radio and print brainwashing organs in the US)

Thats gotta sting the honest people in the US bigtime

He says the same about Iran, Israel's 'big enemy'

this thread is slanderous BS

Anyone who actually listens to RP and doesn't think the US would be better off is way off in my mind.

Any other choice at this point means WW3. Both Romney and Gingrich will attack Iran without a second thought. They have already said this funny enough.

Romney does not believe that the US is unable to deal with Iran military. He would not use ground forces for the attack on Iran but instead would use "blockade, bombardment and surgical military strikes" for the purpose.

Sounds like an extermination of household pests. This is disgusting in itself. No ground forces, no collateral damage. So why not huh?

Romney promised that as President he would not shrink the uses of the military force especially when serious threats confront the US. As an alternative Romney seeks to get the Congress involved according to the law and the Constitution.

Oh so we put congress who at the present are making laws taking American's freedoms away. Brilliant! Lets let those guys handle the armed forces!

Gingrich said awhile back he advocated the assassination of scientists to stop Iran...Oh wait a minute! That already happened. Plus all the flipping on his views. Who wants a POTUS who can't make up his damn mind?

Out of those 3, anyone with the IQ of a chimp could pick. Yet he gets laughed at and ridiculed and overlooked everytime. Banned from debates. How do people not get it?

He never once said he DOESN'T support Israel.

He did say, however, that he does not support the idea of sending the U.S to war to defend them if indeed the national security of the U.S is not in danger.

Makes sense?

VIDEO: RON PAUL F****KING OWNS her.

RP - Israel should take care of themselves
Anchor - Doesn't sound like serious contender for Republican nomincation
RP - Listen to what Netehyahu said last month "We can take care of ourselves"

LMAO!!!

If you don't like the title: "Ron Paul tells Newsmax: I support Israel" take it up with Newsmax, it is their title afterall or did you not know because you didn't even bother to read the link?

Yes, being for a sovereign nations' ability to determine their own affairs is supporting them. What else can you do but to treat other nations fairly?

And to whom is this thread slanderous to?

What Ron Paul really should say is: "I have no chance winning as an independent, so I am a republican, and I can't win as a republican without supporting Israel, and if I do win, just like all presidents before me, I'll have to do as I am told, and never will really do anything I talked about doing in the campaign"

At least it would be the truth for a "change"

PAUL: I would cut all foreign aid. I would treat everybody equally and fairly. And I don’t think aid to Israel actually helps them. I think it teaches them to be dependent. We’re on a bankruptcy course.

So you want the truth, right?

His position on national sovereignty hasn't changed for quite a long time, and as long as Israel is a sovereign nation (why wouldn't they be?), he'll keep his position that they should make their own decisions and be accountable like all mature adults do.

Everything he has done before being president is irrelevant, IF is is elected.

Which is EXTREMELY unlikely now.

Everything he promises to do in this campaign would also be irrelevant, IF he is elected.

But, we're never going to have to worry about it either way now, are we?

But, hey, there is always hope, hang on to that to the bitter end.

Who are you trying to mislead? The title of this thread is "Let's seal the deal right now. Ron Paul tells Newsmax: I support Israel"

YOU added the "let's seal the deal" part.

What exactly do you mean by "seal the deal" and by insinuating that paul is strictly pro-israel?

Nope, when I said seal the deal, It meant we have been given sufficient information to 'DECIDE' once and for all, what his positions on Israel are.

And who is this thread slanderous to? You said this thread was slanderous BS...are you retracting that statement?

The unbridled hypocrisy of Israeli policy and rhetoric on this issue constitutes a major test for the IAEA, and indeed for two cornerstones of modern diplomacy: arms control and collective security. If the presumed violations of some countries are to be “punished” pre-emptively while those of others go unchecked, there is little point in cooperating with the co-opted organization that enforces its own regulations according to Washington’s whim. Israeli impunity relies on America for its sustenance, and the nuclear question is a case in point: US law is very clear in banning foreign aid to countries that either do not sign or fail to obey the NPT, but somehow more than $3 billion in illegal funds gets from Washington to Israel every year with nary a word of protest on Capitol Hill

www.antiwar.com...

ron paul and everyone else on capitol hill knows the score

so The anti pauls on this thread are for the continious theft of us tax dollars while some of RP'S biggest supporters the rank and file US military vets, die BROKE, wounded, starving, and homeless...
AFTER FIGHTING ISRAELS ILLEGAL WARS

thanks much there eh?
