It's called annoyed not mad...there is a difference

Yes firefighters had to come help, the cops were being overrun by animals in the form of teens!

All Im saying is what do you expect them to do? They aren't superhuman, they too need help at times esp when they are out numbered. Things could have been much worse but they weren't, they were hosed. I feel they made the right choice.

Imagine if there were more cops called how out of control this could have gotten. Seems water dispersed them quite well...

So they send hundreds of police to clear Occupy, but only two when a girl is being threatened by a mod of 50 bully's bent only on seeing this girls destruction?

The NYcops were getting beaten. I yelled across if they wanted some help! The girls yelled back "No thanks 50 is enough"!

Seriously though, the cops are there to keep the peace (and unless they declare war on the public) they should be left alone to do their HEROIC jobs!

Well just use the gun to scare them that's all. look we can't just rely on police. what if the police aren't there on time and your only defense is a gun what would you do?

That's why I'm glad I live on a boat, and I DO have water cannons mounted port, starboard, fore and aft, to repel boarders. No joke.

Being a victim of some pretty intense bullying in my school days there's a part of me that wants these girls sent to the gallows and left there for a fortnight as examples. Bullying is one of the worst things ever. It really does affect peoples lives for a longtime, it resulted in me being a very, very angry dude with a vengeance against the world, paranoia and serious anger management issues. I don't use it as a scapegoat for everything that's wrong with me but, I feel I would have been a completely different person had I not been bullied. In hindsight it has made me a resilient MF and exposed the hearts of men to me at an early age but, not everybody gets through it to come back with a 'give em hell' attitude.

50 girls with weapons set out to attack a poor girl with a heart condition, what is this world coming to? It disgusts, saddens and angers me more and more everyday! These girls will probably just play the victims of society card and be kissed on the wrist.

Like I said, I dont expect them to do much. They are cops, they dont usually do much but make matters worse. They should have sent more police officers to the house when hearing reports of 50+ teenage drama queens.
Not send in two.That was their first mistake- but like I said, I dont expect them to do much. Funny part is, how did the firefighters show up to protect these cops faster than their "back up".?

I feel the FIREFIGHTERS made the right choice as well. Wish I was one of them at that point, I would have hosed them down myself.

Out of this disturbing story where 50 teenage girls attempt to attack one teenage girl (and would have likely killed her....) all you can pull from it is the "lack of training" by NYC police? WTF? And note one officer was male, one female .. but regardless, how the hell is one or two cops supposed to keep off a gang of 50+ enraged teens? Teens equipped with a pistol, and knives? Very serious story.. very stupid OP.

Stop arguing about whether the officers using their guns would have made any difference. Their guns would have meant nothing. If they fired at the teens, the teens would have fired their guns back and probably went on a rampage killing tons of other people. Unless you've been to these types of neighborhoods, you have absolutely no idea the extent the insanity goes. We're not talking about people who have no dreams in life. We're talking about people who are so apathetic that even if they did get a dream, they'd have it drowned out by the next day. They don't care if they die tomorrow as long as they have their drugs today. The "Hood Life" videos on YouTube are extremely accurate in their presentation.

And yes, I think with the disgusting rise in these "flash mobs" or whatever they are calling them these days, yes, I think these things need to be handled alot differently. I tried this "I'm gonna call the cops on you once" on my dad... should of seen the look on the man's face laughin his ass off answering back "Go ahead they will take 10-15 minutes to be here we're going to have ourselves a little party in the meantime..." Never did called the cops...

Did get my share of his foot up my ass when I deserved it and I did, today I'm glad he did cuz it shaped me in the man I am today and I'm happy he did...

They issued the most stupid law in town where I live... In an attempt to make teenagers go home earlier they past a law that makes it illegal for them to drive past midnight...

So now instead of having them bunched up in cars and behaving at a certain extend because NO TEENAGER really wants to lose his license... They are new roaming through town as much as before but on foot...

Now try catching an average 17 years old on foot through a city, he's going to distance you only so he can stop to have a BigMac during the time you take to catch up...

Wow, that is terrible, 50 girls all ganged up on a poor defenseless kid.. Some parents need to put a leash on their children. Like, really, is this what parent's teach their children now and days? Truly sad for that girl who has to stay stuck in her house like a recluse and the officers who clearly were trying to just do their job and help poor kid from this totally insane mob mentality. I hope they arrest more of those children, because that is so uncalled for. Not saying this little girl will be a future suicide but something says she'll either be a homicide from those kids or a suicide for not wanting to deal with them. I think the best thing for these parent, is to get witness protection and go into another city. I wouldn't put past those girls to look to try to find her. Awful situation.

If I were one of these kids parents, and my daughter arrived home soaked, I would turn her in myself. Any parent knowing their kid would possibly be part of this mob carrying guns and knives should turn in their soaked low life thug of a daughter.

The only flaw is they should've put bullets in the water cannon...These mobs have become a real nuisance lately. Does anyone in the world have the courage to just fight without having 50 people to back you up? I'm getting a gun...
