Yes, you read that correctly. What the hell is going on here?
(per ATS terms - BARF was in the title)

Source

I hate bringing such a backwoods story coming from my home state of Indiana but I was so shocked I thought I should share.

Here is the heartwarming story of 72-year-old Pearl Carter, her lover and grandson Phil Bailey, and the $54,000 surrogate mother they have impregnated.

'We both cried but kept talking for three hours,' she says. 'When he emailed me a photo, I thought what a handsome and sexy man he was before pinching myself – he was my grandson!'

The pair spent the first week shopping, bowling and eating out. During the second week, giggly on wine after a night out, Pearl decided she wasn't going to deny her feelings anymore. 'I called Phil into my bedroom, sat him on the bed, and then I leant over and kissed him,' Pearl says. 'I expected rejection but instead he kissed me back.'... That night, grandmother and grandson became lovers.

I really do not understand how people can have this type of mindset. What is going on inside their brains?

I read this piece at the end of the story and decided to search for another source:

Update: As a lot of you have pointed out, the dearth of detail and lack of wide pickup should engender a significant amount of skepticism about the story. But why let skepticism get in the way of wide-eyed revulsion?

Okay, Kentucky... You win!
(for those of you that makes sense to)

Father's day is going to be confusing.

Does that make the dad the great grandfather of the baby as well?

Does it make the baby the grandfather too?

Seriously - my normal reply would be "what is the world coming to?", but I'm afraid I already know the answer. Depravity is rampant in our society. Somethings got to give and it's got to be soon.

My Lord! See what happens when the Colts "suck for Luck"? People get bored and bag their grandma! Thank you, Peyton Manning, for getting injured. Look what you've done!

I hate to say it, but I laughed out loud when I read that.

I cannot imagine all the implications of this. Nor, do I want to.

But they're happy and not harming anyone

I can't wait for the intuitive feelers to try and rationalize this one.

Depravity, and unconditional acceptance seem to go hand in hand.

This sort of thing has been going on longer than you would like to believe.

Back when people lived in small isolated communities with just a handful of people or a few families who lived close by in the middle of nowhere, how many girls do you think were impregnated by brothers, fathers, uncles and grandfathers?? Ask any older person who grew up in a small farming community what goes on. They will tell you about daughters who were pretty much raped by every male member of the family. Also it wasn't very uncommon in those days for people to suddenly go missing or die mysteriously and have NO police investigation. Basically outside of a city there were no police.

The only difference today is we live in large communities where people notice these kinds of things. Also there is police investigations and whatnot.

I know people who claim there was inbreeding in their family at one point. A few small french communities up here where it was, until just a few decades ago, acceptable to marry your first cousin.

This story is definitely vomit worthy. The elderly woman and her grandson are obviously into incest.....and I certainly would not want any children around them....I suspect they may be sexually active with them as well.

These people are vile and disgusting....sterilize them now!

The only good thing I can see in this whole story...is that these people are being revealed...for who they really are.
