Socialism is the Big Lie of the twentieth century. While it promised prosperity, equality, and security, it delivered poverty, misery, and tyranny. Equality was achieved only in the sense that everyone was equal in his or her misery.

In the same way that a Ponzi scheme or chain letter initially succeeds but eventually collapses, socialism may show early signs of success. But any accomplishments quickly fade as the fundamental deficiencies of central planning emerge. It is the initial illusion of success that gives government intervention its pernicious, seductive appeal. In the long run, socialism has always proven to be a formula for tyranny and misery.

A pyramid scheme is ultimately unsustainable because it is based on faulty principles. Likewise, collectivism is unsustainable in the long run because it is a flawed theory. Socialism does not work because it is not consistent with fundamental principles of human behavior. The failure of socialism in countries around the world can be traced to one critical defect: it is a system that ignores incentives.

Karl Marx explained that it would only be successful if it was instituted in an advanced industrial nation, like the United States. It has never been instituted in a country that had the means to make it work.
It does work, if done correctly, and thus far no country has done it correctly.
Socialism does work.

Who are you to say that some people deserve more than others? Why does one person deserve to starve, while the other is stuffing their face with exotic foods?

“All men are created equal” doesn’t mean that all men earn the same wage. It means that we are treated equal in the eyes of the law.

If I work harder than my neighbor then why should I not earn more than my neighbor? What gives the government the right to take away my earnings and redistribute them in a way it deems fair?

This is why socialism will fail…because it takes away the incentive to work hard. Why bother working hard when I’m going to make the same as everybody else anyway?

Socialism is proven to never work. All motivation to do anything is immediately lost. It can only work on a very small scale, about the size of your family.

All men are CREATED equal is what the Declaration says. That means we are all BORN equal. After that it is up to you. Not all adults are equal, far from it. Some people are just superior to others, that is the way of the world.

Making some superior because of being born from the lucky sperm club rather than anything they actually DID is the problem. This is what was supposed to be overcome by this system. TPTB mask it by calling it "death taxes" and other things.

Imagine, say, George Bush not being helped all his life by his family in any way. He probably would be a high school dropout and maybe work as a janitor, more likely a homeless bum. Certainly would never have made the Ivy League, and probably would have been sent to Vietnam, where dummies usually got their butts shot off within the first few days. Ah, one can only dream....
