i have been looking to the point where OWS becomes self evident,
by that i mean all pieceful revolutions go through three stages,
1. ridacule of the members or participants or their message
2. violent opositeion including deadly force and intimidation
3, acceptence that the reason for the revolution was self obvious

i think we are approaching level three.

please take time to watch

when all can agree that this is a crime that must prosicuted
then things will change
for the better.

Spell check is your friend. You should take a little time and use it on future posts.

Thanks for posting this excellent video.

I think it's funny how the first speaker is from Mass. and now we're seeing Mass. suing the banks.

Don't you love it when posters give the thread a bump by complimenting you on your spelling skills?

I checked out their website: econ4.org

Strangely enough, these folks sound a lot like distributists. Maybe they should all get together and create an economy that values people first and money last.

One more thing; I liked this graphic they had on their site:

the negotiations between the states and the banks was a farse,
the banks would have got to pay pennies on the dollar and no criminal convictions.

this is great news is Mass taking on the banks directly,
because if the govenment arbatrates between the people and the banks........
well we all know the banks would get pitaful fines and no arrests.

i would suggest a suit on the state level

LOL.

I didn't see too much actual ''economics'' being discussed in that video.

Generally, ''OWS economics'' equates to gimme, gimme, gimme. ''I have a right to take some of that money which you've worked hard for, because I deserve it''.

Please show me an example of double-speak in my previous post. Cheers

No, the protesters aren't taking any money; they just want a redistribution of wealth to fall into their hands.

Er... no. You, and you alone, are the only person who has ''pulled out the boogie man of socialism''.

Nowhere have I remotely touched upon any kind of political system during my comments in this thread.

Behave yourself.

OWS economics

Basically you have the top 1% of Americans that should pay for everything. CEOs and all those rich people should pay all their employees 1,000 dollars an hour because it is fair.
The government should start a program that makes it so that if there is something you need or want that you can't afford the government should be responsible for sending a bill to a wealthy person so it will be paid for and given to you.
Look at all this trouble that started from bad housing loans. With OWS economics the problem becomes solved, if you can't afford a house you should be given one and if you can afford more than one house the state should MAKE you buy someone that is less fortunate one.
The top 5% pay almost 60% of all taxes but this is not good enough, in OWS economics the top 1% pay 200% of all the taxes, the extra 100% just gets sent to the other 99%.

There you go, that is OWS economics

The reasons for this are being more evident by the day due to the way the media and local Govt's seem to be handling this, by using hostile force and hostile actions to intimidate, threaten, bemoan and harass every one of us into playing right into their hands. The smear campaign from the likes of O'Reilly and Gingrich and Fox News is proof that we've already gotten under their skin and must become a festering disease when it pertains to them. Force them to never forget our faces, our agenda or our intent. Crush the vermin in the media and Wall Street that we all know who they all are!

Even the GOP nominees but Gingrich knows now not to attack this movement as it will only ruin their chance at the WH.

People want to get a job that will afford them to pay taxes but with no jobs and no job prospects makes that idea dismal at best. We demand and do not want the average American taxpayer pay a higher rate of that of a CEO. WE demand fairness and equality.

BTW, We are all The 99%!

Who is saying that? Can you show me some? What money are you talking about? You think people that steal deserve what they get if it is hard to get it? You think people that profit off of moving numbers on a computer screen work hard? Do you think all the banks forclosing on homes they do not even own are working hard?

I cannot wait to see your clips or quotes or whatever you have to base what you said on. Otherwise it was just completely made up, right?

You mean something like a taxpayer funded 7 trillion dollar bailout?

You are funny.

i've seen the same brainwashed line repeated by so many people "OWS are just lazy bums that want everything for free".

the media tells you what they want you to know, and you consider it the truth. who owns the media? the big businesses that are getting bailed out. no conflict of interest there

OWS is protesting against the massive bailouts that took money from people who worked for it, and gave it to people who didn't. the 99% had no say, yet we are the majority. as a consequence, big business executives are receiving millions of dollars in bonuses that they didn't earn.

our money is being dumped into the pockets of big business by the truckload, and some have the nerve to call people who protest this "entitled pricks".

I think that's a bit unfair, I would say most people protesting just want a fairer society one where corporate profits are not put before peoples welfare. Not where banks and corporations can hold so much power over our elected officials. A leveling of the playing field more than a gimme gimme gimme.

It's not really the peoples fault that their governments, regulators and banking systems systematically screwed them over.

Just...amazing.

So what do you make of backdoor government bailouts?

Oh but then again, redistribution of wealth is something that's not good. It should not be redistributed, it should go to those who are already rich. Why? I don't know, I'm stupid.

The trouble with OWS is its not really a strong co-ordinated campaign for a particular type of change. Its an expression of grass roots discontent drawing in a great swathe of people from different backgrounds. Some of whom are 'smelly trotskyists'. Easy meat for a biased media. They don't have to lie, they just have to be particular whom you film and interview for the nightly news. The result is the same.

The campaign should be for a return to a sound money system and a return to capitalism.

The OWS people know the system is broken, but they don't really know why and they can't articulate what to do to reverse the trend.

The job of ATS members who have been discussing these issues for a decade should be to educate those in the OWS movement to what the real problem is and the real solution. Not assisting in the demonisation of the movement by the corrupt interests responsible for the coming word-wide economic apocalypse.
