Seems like a cloaked planetoid orbiting mercury...

"cloaked"??

"planetoid"??

Except, of course, Mercury has been observed for centuries. And, never, eve ever ever has any "plantoid" been observed orbiting the planet Mercury.

Not to mention as well....the very precise ability to measure perturbations in orbits would have LONG AGO revealed any mass of any significance that was orbiting the planet Mercury.

The dearth of astronomical education is evident in these sorts of posts..........

Yea, but how can you convince someone that it's not a spaceship if he/she doesn't want to accept logical explanation?

How many spacecraft do you know that are 2,500 km big? Pretty unlikely BY ANY STANDARD!

The CME did not hit Mercury
www.abovetopsecret.com...

edit on 12/10/2011 by Phage because: (no reason given)

Yeah it didn't hit mercury because the planetoid deflected most of the energy towards mercury's poles.

No.
It didn't hit Mercury because it came from the wrong side of the Sun.

Maybe you are stuck with explanations given to us by mainstream science. I choose to diversify my knowledge by watching stargate atlantis, star trek, star wars, etc. Also lots of video games cover the same classified technology we choose to ignore.

Two guys that actually work with this stuff

doesn't make them credible at all....if lunacognita would cover it and say its "fake" i would buy it but an offical is just Never A Straight Answere...

Like I said before, it just wasn't what anyone wanted to hear. I'm not really familiar with lunacognita, other than he does NASA Anomalies stuff. Has he exposed fake UFOs before?

CNN are repeating what SECCHI have been saying since day 1.

secchi.nrl.navy.mil...

It is unrelated to the CME, this has been shown in easy to comprehend pictures.

Why is your and others mind so closed?

No. That is not what I'm saying.

I wonder how much more it would cost to make a better satellite so we don't have these problems. What's to say there aren't ships there all the time?

It is a common thing. It has nothing to do with the CME.
www.abovetopsecret.com...
(Why can't people read a thread?)

It has nothing to do with the satellite and it isn't a "problem".

(I'm going out on limb here and making the assumption that you are serious)
I like Star Trek and Star Wars too but I can still tell the difference between science fact and science fiction.
Maybe it's because I didn't watch Stargate Atlantis.

Non of the examples above represent the former.

Why did the "image artifact " show itself at the exact time the CME neared Mercury?

It was a coincidence.
Go here:
secchi.nrl.navy.mil...

Do this:
Select HI1
Select SECCHI-A
Select whatever size image you wish
Date: To see the animation in the "decloak" video use 20111201
Submit Query

Now, change the date to 20111207 (or 06, or 05, or...). No CME, just the usual outflow of the solar wind. It has nothing to do with the CME. It has to do with the time of day. It happens at the same time (more or less) everyday. It disappears in the first image of each day. Notice also that it stays in the same spot in the frame each day (put your cursor on it).

It is an image processing artifact. It disappears because a fresh mask is applied at the beginning of each day.
It appears brighter and brighter because the background mask from the day before becomes less and less appropriate as the day goes on.

Of course, this has been explained more than once in this thread.

You can also go here to get a series of days in a single animation
secchi.nrl.navy.mil...

I went to the navy site and made a few movies of my own.

You're right. It's an artifact.

That was fun while it lasted.

Yeah I wanted it to be true but unfortunately it just isn't so. It is easy to see when you go to the site that Phage provided with the animations, and by the image he posted showing that the CME came nowhere near Murcury that it is in fact an artifact.

Of course there will be people here who refuse to look at any of that and maintain that it only happened when the CME hit it, but it just doesn't make it so. I can see why so many people hate you Phage, you dashed my hopes, but thanks for the input anyway. I would rather acknowledge the truth whether I like it or not than wallow in my own ignorance...

Damn, first Santa, and now this... What is left to believe it

It's useless.

Its good for star fishing

I don't think this thread is deserving this much intention, since you can find the answer on the first page of this thread...

A thread stays alive because both sides continue to convince the other side they are right
It is the way of things

But the fact that CNN took the time to put this on the evening news to me is a lot more important than what the object is or isn't. Conspiracy Theory, Spaceships near Mercury on MSM

Mysterious object observed near Mercury
The Situation Room|Added on December 9, 2011
Chad Myers reports on a mysterious object observed near Mercury that has conspiracy theorists chattering.

Gotta love it... its now reaching the SHEEPLE
