(Mods, the "WTF" is the actual name of the cartridge.)

The design seems minimal and futuristic. Even the bullets impress me. (But I'm easy to impress) There's a six minute video that comes with the article. The monster is entirely customized, with the exception of the barrel.

It makes a beautiful hole through 1/4" steel, and could easily do more.

I want one of these, actually I need one of these. That's really neat even though I have no practical use for one

Dear Brotherman,

Forget about "practical use." The neatest things in the world have no practical use. A fist-sized diamond, a 200 mph car, the Pyramids, etc.

These things are meant to stir dreams. They give man something to strive for. (Yeah, I'd like one too. Only problem is I live where it's flat. I'd probably send a round into the next county.)

I'd have to rename mine to the .700 WTF Zombie Slayer since practical is out the window and I want it in bubble gum Pink with a break machined to look like a blue daisy.

so i take it we've started cloning dinosaurs?

hmmm...i have to wonder how many zombies that bullet could go through...

pretty sweet gun. a very modest size for such a large round.

Kind of looks like the rail gun from I believe the first DeusEx game.
A bit overpowered for me though, well unless you enjoy squirrel burgers without having to do any grinding that is.
Heck this thing would probably wreck a deer too.
I'll take 3 please?!

(Edit)
Just for grins and giggles, using a 3/4 inch piece of lead dern near and the powder, you could go broke reloading these things.
I would hate to see the tag on factory hunting ammo.

I still think this one has way more cool/silly factor

ETA In retrospect I guess the people in the vid I posted just don't realise how much kick the thing gives and use the wrong stance. Its funny though. I'd love to see an automatic version and watch people fly through the air like they were wrestling with a huge water hose like the fireman use and need 2 or 3 peeps to hold steady

Dear LightSpeedDriver,

Thank you, thank you. A wonderful video. You'd think they'd learn after the first couple of shots. Anyway, thanks for the first chuckle I've had in days. It reminded me of the time when I was on my uncle's farm and he let me use his 12 gauge for one shot. I was nine.

No practical use?

I might need to shoot a fullsize Dodge Truck one day...

If you going to go that big you only have one shot on what im implying you mean a head on from far away at a moving target do you see that weight, muzzle lift, its a single shot? Id take the tried and true M40A3 or the .338 lapua. Id personally take the "zombie slayer" aka dino rifle lol for entertainment shooting

You are most welcome, I thought it was kind of on topic albeit with a much smaller calibre. I am sure using shotguns (which I have never fired) aged 9 has the same effect

As an aside and a dorky kind of question:

Is there a physical limit to how big a bullet can get and be fired successfully? Is there still room to grow, even from the size posted by the OP? I am pretty clueless about firearms.

Thanks, my apologies. You can tell from my stats that I dislike starting threads. This is one of the main reasons why. I'll alert the mods to close. Sorry guys, I'll go back in my hole.
