Don't be so quick into completely ditching landline phones.
When disasters strike, and they always do,landlines are
usually still working while cellphones don't.

I'm right with you, copper all the way - problem is the telephone exchanges are all IP and fibre, your end point may be copper but it's a data world now and landlines won't save you in a disaster then.

i swear this is weird cause i was thinking the exact same thing and thinking about making a thread about it but only about computers and laptops, i never thought of the TV. Every laptop has a camera and voice recorder built in these days and most people keep one, in their room and say and do all sorts in front of them. Me included, thats why i was getting paranoid lol

To the bit about audio: You are correct that speakers can be used as a microphone (take a pair of headphones, plug them into the headphone jack on your PC. Start recording your mic in an audio application, and speak into either speaker) but the audio signal on headphones is only a half-duplex signal. Meaning that the wires can only transmit in one direction (in to record, or out to play) at a time. If you're hearing music from the speakers, they are not recording your voices. That does not mean hidden mics are not implanted...

About video. It would be hard to sneak a camera into a TV without it being visible. Sure it COULD be done with how small camera's are these days, but it would be a PR nightmare for any company that would actively spy in that capacity on it's customers. As for the LCD/LED/PLASMA technology, the lcd screen itself is what generates the image, and a backlight is projected through it to brighten up the picture for viewing. You can buy a LCD (no backlight) screen and drop it onto the projectors that used plastic pages to create a modern day projection unit for really cheap.

That's just great, just when I think my paranoia couldn't get any worse I have to worry about watching a movie now? What's next? Hidden cameras in our bathrooms?!

Not possible, once data hits your main power panel, the data doesnt flow thru fuses.

The home pna has to be on the same circuit so fuse panels do not interfere..

I don't know about TV's, I have often wondered the same. However, Most lap tops and computers come with built in webcams now and you can be damn sure that they can be hacked. I cover mine with tape unless I am using it. Paranoia? No not really, but maybe so. Fact is I have nothing to hide other than wanting privacy for my family and I. You can't trust these bottomfeeders. Look what they put us all through just to get onto a plane, yet they leave the borders wide open for a dirty nuke? Red between the lies my friends. There is so much paranoia and disinformation in this thread.

Learn how your TV's work, learn how your computer, mic's, speakers and kinect's work. There is nothing conspiratory about it. If you understand hardware and software, and have a basic understanding of electronics, it is very easy to know exactly what your devices are doing, all the way down to the 0's and 1's.

Unless you have an extremely bad virus/root kit on your computer, your devices are not being used without your knowledge.

They just aren't!

Keep your antivirus up to date (cover your devices in sheets if it makes you feel better, it will at least keep the dust off)... you'll be fine.

Relax (you'll live longer)… "They" are not watching you.

I say YES!
Data over power lines, they dont have to come read the elect meter anymore, Can control thermostat, and anything with a chip in it though those lines!!
My cousin tried to tell people "they are watching" in the late 80's,, maybe this was the testing phase.
Any way he was sent away to a institution to be Reprogrammed !!!!!!!

"They ARE Watching"

Elect co. probably accesses my router to send data regularly.
As does my DTV system,. no telling what its sending. I never gave any one permission to use my device. but they do.

Yep you are correct Trust no one. The digital transducer box allows easy reverse operation of the tv components to act as a full camera. Anyone not realizing this is either ignorant or suffers from Ostrich-Sand-Head syndrome.

This was also possible using resonant analog circuits long long before the digital transistor box was forced down some undesired orifice of the public.

Another hack I was too lazy to try but I know works is hooking a radio tuner to a old crt monitor. By tuning into the channel one can view what the ther is watching. (say to steal credit card numbers). With digital stealing information is much easier and just requires decryption rather than complex analog devices. Of course TV's are also cameras - do you think the US governemtn would NOT initiate a conspiracy at any given chance? not likely.

You have never heard of multiplexing or grey noise then. Data is regularly sent over power lines as biased, high frequency data called "grey noise". That is through the (simple) superpositioning of a high frequency low aplitude wave on top of the 200 V peak 3 phase power wave. This reduces the wires needed. DSL typically comes through the same cable as your power, not though a seperate phone or cable line, it is split off the power line into a phone line in a special transducer box which filters the grey noise and phase-cancels to yield a difgital signal.

Seeing through a tv is simply a matter of the tv having a low power input (being plugged in) a transducer (ccd) and a data connection (being plugged in) not misinformation at all. Conveniently an analog transducer may be formed by the CRT by a low voltage scan. Incoming photons are converted to a picture via photon interference.

Now with webcams none of this old school spy tech is necessary. I know all this becasue Im not a moron, and I read science books regularly. Also Im an engineer.

Actually, there is alot of relevant discussion with useful information.

And your right - they're not watching me...cause they're watching you since you dont believe they are watching. Easy target, so Thanks!!

There is so much information/proof/fact available to show 'they' are watching... at the very least just a little bit..

Come on...you know you want to not believe it

Great posts everybody! I'm seeing a lot of good ideas and thoughts - yes, even the anti "they're watching me" Those posts are necessary to keep us high fliers in check

Absolute rubbish, please read my post yesterday that explains why this is impossible.Maybe in McGuyvers world it would be possible, not in the one all us real folks live in I'm afraid.
A digital transducer box is used to measure the resonant point of a transducer and nothing else.A resonant analogue circuit is just that,an analogue circuit (so NOT digital) normally comprising of an inductor and a capacitor that resonates at a particular frequency, certainly not capable of performing the miracles you refer to.

I don't see why the govs should wan't to watch you via your tv when tracking your every move on the internet is so much easier and effective in getting to "know" you.

Also there's a lot of people involved in making ex a tv, someone would tell us if this really was being done, at least so i hope.

The technology is cheap and there so that if you ever come to their attention, say like for voting for Ron Paul or for demonstrating against Israel, the system would be switched on.

To answer your question.wave lengths for audio are directional. To send a signal through a speaker by itself is possible but not while it's in line with an amplifier. As far as a tv being used as a camera. The lid and or led plat forms are a liquid filled element that changes color based on the Electrical frequency passed through it and if you have ever tried to video tape a tv screen you will find that if you get too close you camera will wash out because it's too bright even if the camera were somehow put behind the screen it would only function when your TV was off and of course the would be the unmistakable hole in your picture when it was turned on. As far as Web cams go. Don't sign up for any porn chat or weird cam sites. When you sign up the Web site gains access to you as an ftp user with basically connects then when you sign up. A hidden batch file is placed on your computer that runs an encrypted script so you can be watched any time your computer is on. Be sure and check for it add I pads under your mattress and remember.your my Slave and you do what I say.

Del runs Dow a cat 5 cable from a router thaoutdated.now they justsector I'd a geographical grid. The router is fed from a fiber optic or multi band telecommunication line on the same poles as the 440 amp power lines.( in older neighborhoods. For the most part most dsl Is PRO primary To Satellite Paid programming. And cellular towers. A 3 phase 208 service would and I'm serious because I'm worried about your safety. But absolutely would melt DSL or cat 5 cables. So stay away from the three phase. But if you can't resist. Make sure to unplug the green cam lock last. Now. As I said in my last response even cathode ray tubed are directional however Radio frequencies can be utilized to puddle jump and bounce carrier transponders these are used by central intelligence and whatnot. But that technology is so outdated.now they just watch your facebook.

I'm sure they are watching but do you really think it would be that hard to install a camera or a bug. He'll a good old fashioned parabolic microphone makes a short day of it rather than a short bus.

Cell phones are a huge security risk. You agree to terms and conditions to a bogus app. Then you find out the app doesn't work. Well... at least in the way you thought. Who knows what kind of script you legally agreed to install. I'm just glad I'm not rich enough to rob. They can have my identity felonies and all.none the less I'm just so #ing tired of having to set up a user name and password for every stupid #ing thing. My user name is continue its #ing continue and my password is continue. And no I don't have a credit card or an alternate email address. I wonder if anybody will be named in the future. Our names will be email addresses with twitter hash tags for a middle name and your last name will be the server your hospitals network is on.

Some days I wish I could use a pen again.
