'US used nukes on Iraq, Afghanistan'

2ndrevolt.com

“Tactical nuclear weapons were used, at least one in Iraq and several were used in Afghanistan --in the Tora Bora mountains,” Peter Eyre, a Middle East consultant, said.

Eyre pointed out that the atomic bomb dropped on Afghanistan's Tora Bora region was so powerful that it actually created an earthquake there.

The analyst went on to say that the use of such lethal weapons by US military, which is a gross violation of the Geneva Convention, has been sanctioned by the US presidents; thus they should be prosecuted for war crimes.

I really hope someone can debunk this. Because if it is true it makes me feel kind of sick.
What on earth would a developed country like the US be doing using nuclear devices to remove Taliban from caves. The repercussions of using such weapons can be deadly and they should only be used as a last resort. They certainly should not be used in manufactured wars whos goal is to secure the worlds energy supplies and install central banks.
The US is the only nation to have used these devices first in Japan and now in Afghanistan and Iraq.
The US and the collation used the excuse that Iraq had WMD. Well who really has them and who uses them.. This amounts to nothing less than war crimes..

As far as I know, and this from watching commentary on the conflict, the US used Thermobaric bombs on the caves at tora bora. They are a type of FAE (Fuel Air Explosive) that sucks all the air out of a cave for example and the enemy inside dies of lack of oxygen.

Thermobaric Bomb Wikipedia

I would like to see proof of a nuke, but there is often claims of nukes used because people find Depleted Uranium dust everywhere and somehow think it came from a nuclear weapon. DU is used to defeat armor and is used in a few different munitions.

Do you think that these areas would be habitable still? Even a tactical nuclear weapon will have fallout.
I guess if there are areas off limits to US Personnel for say 50 square miles in Afghanistan then maybe it is true.
Also don't you think that Pakistan would be rattling some cages by now- a they would get some fallout.

So sorry I can't believe this

Well, if you have a thousand tons of depleted uranium in a close area it would resemble a nuke.
We will see I guess.

Idk i am reading this atm..... on Afganistan

"some form of uranium weapon had been used (...) The results were astounding: the donors presented concentrations of toxic and radioactive uranium isotopes between 100 and 400 times greater than in the Gulf War veterans tested in 1999." www.umrc.net

The results also confirmed that the toxic radiation was not attributable to ‘heavy metal' depleted uranium ammunition (DU), but to another unidentified form of uranium contamination. Of course on this issue of the US starting a nuclear war, the US media has also chosen to remain silent, so as not to ‘endanger' in any way the Pentagon's future pre-emptive war plans

Bold claim, can he back it up?

How would one prove this after the fact? Depleted uranium was so used so heavily in Iraq that traces of radiation are all over, greatly affecting the birth rate and infant deaths; plenty of statistics from Iraqi officials on that here:

I doubt nuclear weapons were used in either Iraq or Afghanistan, however.....I certainly wouldn't dismiss it outright and if ever proven then the relevant POTUS should indeed be prosecuted for war crimes - no if's or but's.

It can easily be debunked. Look at the originating news source for the article -

PressTV.

Iranian State Media

I will add that the US does have very large bombs in its arsenal that can penetrate up to 200 feet of mountain side. The resulting explosion does resemble a small nuke, complete with small mushroom cloud. Im not sure if they were used in Iraq or Afghanistan though. I vaguely remember seeing something about their use in tora bora

Ummmm I hope you don't count your link as proof to what you're saying because the guys you're quotiing don't back up their story. On what EXACT date did the US attack Iraq with nukes?

All the nations of Earth that have satellites aloft would have detected this.
Tactical or not , it would have been detected.

No need to nuke em. The DU that is built up there now will devastate that region for generations.

Sorry cant believe it... just cant... Do some research on Michel Chossudovsky on of the authors of a paper on it looks like he is a known anti Semite and hates America. Just don't think I trust him for some reason. Plus one of those links is 8yrs old dont you think we would have heard about it by now?

How is one to debunk something for which there is no evidence?

ATS ate my reply after I submitted it, and I'm not going to bother rewriting it. So here it is in succinct bullet point format:

* The source is PressTV, the television propaganda arm of the Iranian government.

* Their source is Peter Eyre, a "self-employed consultant" (i.e. unemployed) who writes long screeds about the CIA-Mossad false flag on 9/11 and Satanic Freemason pedophiles linked to the government.

* The idea that a nuclear weapon could be secretly detonated over Afghanistan and no one knew about it until Peter Eyre told Iran's propaganda channel ten years later is laughable.

Because the tribal warfare they have had the last 1000+ years was so much better.

I'm willing to wager their perverted version of Sharia law will kill way more people than DU.

Im not arguing that things havent been backward there for a long time. Doesnt change the fact that there will be GENERATIONS of people with major defects born because of the DU that America and others have brought in.

Agree with the way of life or not, no outside country should be allowed to POISON another. And thats exactly what DU is. Poison.

There will be multiple generations born that have had NOTHING to do with sharia law and the like other than where they were born, that will die a GRUESOME death because of DU.

How anyone can justify that as OK is beyond me.

I commented on another post about a week ago about Iranian disinfo. It was tongue in cheek, and meant to turn the tables on the 'everything the US or Israel say is disinfo" crowd.

I think i can stand firmly behind it this time. Rediculous in the extreme, and quite obviously thermobaric weapons. The US announced it would use daisy cutters when searching mountains for Osama. This is not news.
