Occupy British embassy!

More from the article :

Dozens of hard-line Iranian students have stormed the British Embassy in Tehran, bringing down the British flag and throwing documents from windows.

The students clashed with anti-riot police and chanted "the Embassy of Britain should be taken over" and "death to England."

Tuesday's incident comes two days after Iranian parliament approved a bill that reduces diplomatic relations with Britain following London's support of recently upgraded U.S. sanctions on Tehran.

How long before war starts? Attacking an embassy is declaration of war basically. Not long before they claim that those ``students`` are in fact the Basij (paramilitary force)...

Riiiiiiiiight. Zerohedge is very reliable... not to mention the source is not Tyler Durden, it's AP and FARSNEWS. And comparing ZeroHedge to Sorcha Faal is ridiculous really.

THis shouldn't be in breaking alternative news. Read the rules.

There is nothing alternative about this. It is mainstream news. The other poster has it in the right forum, Middle East issues.

You certainly have posted in the wrong forum.

I am not claiming any news site is any better I just know for fact Tyler has been caught stretching the truth before. A guy who cannot be trusted.

Really? In what way is this "an issue"? It is news. Whether it is alternative or not sort of depends on your point of view.

I really hate the fact that these people take over our embassy and associate the people of England with the rulers. By all means cry death to the British Government, in fact we will help you on that one, but death to England is just unreasonable. We, the people, don't cry 'death to Iran' or anywhere else, just to the Governments.

we have been told and reminded on many occasions what the 'breaking alternative news' forum is for.

'alternative' is kind of a key word in this forum title.

there are many sections it could be posted not just the one i mentioned if you have some problem with the word 'issue.'

Well most Iranians like people in the west, they just hate the governments. Just like us don't like the Iranian government but like the Iranian people.

I think this is orchestrated by the Iranian government as payback for the sabotage of their nuclear program... remember the two explosions at two nuclear sites in the last two weeks? Yeah. They were not accidents. Nor were the murders of Iranian nuclear scientists.

Maybe if their weren't so many damned vaguely described forum it wouldn't be difficult to decide where to put post.
It's information overload.

Besides, the other post isn't even in the new topics so thanks for posting this again so I can remain informed.

War is coming people, it's obvious and anyone who can't see it is blind.

Deleted line as it probably not worth getting into that debate.

Tho I do not feel we need an Embassy in the region I do feel at least keeping one there maintains some form of dialogue even if it is not going very well..

My worry would be the removal of our Embassy and shutting the door on dialogue but that seems to be what some want while shouting they want peace.. In my opinion the world is one heck of a strange place

As to the other compound I suspect that would be the British Embassy Gardens which contains the Commonwealth War memorial Grave yard (this is from memory and I could be seriously wrong)

So you feel that Britain/Britons where responsible for the explosions hence the need to pay Britain back?

No. But since there's no US or Israeli embassy in Iran... they lash out at the only western embassy that's there, the British one.

Oh boy.

Don't worry, Oliver North is on it... he's gonna give some weapons to Iran and all will be solved.

I deleted that as it was a knee jerk response.. sorry about that..

Anyway.. I wonder about the other location and if it is the British Embassy Gardens that are in North Tehran.. the hostage situation is a concern as I feel that may lead to breaking off diplomatic relations and closing the door to further dialogue which in turn opens the door to the event we all worry about.

Worrying times.. I have many friends in/from Northern Tehran..

In my opinion, whether or not this topic technically conforms to the "alternative" label of this board is irrelevant.

The fact is that the situation in the Middle East is very volatile now, whether you look at Iran, Syria, continued troubles in Libya, the involvement of western powers, etc. People here on ATS, via less-than-mainstream sources, often post these stories minutes, if not hours, before mainstream sources report them. Considering the potential for things to take a very bad turn over there and implications of such a turn, it would be doing people here a disservice to hold it to less-viewed sections.

Besides, most people here have an "alternative" take on the goings on with Iran anyway. Consider and Iran story posted in this section to be adding to that greater discussion and that removes the problem.

Not so much with the word issue as the lack of the word Moderator in your profile area.

I heard about the explosions, but not about the murders. Tend to have me head buried in earthquakes. Has it been shown that they were not accidents or is this just a feeling?

Well pretty much every analyst believe they were not accidents. Also the laws of probability... two big explosions in two weeks at two important Iranian nuclear sites? Chances of that happening by chance... very low.

Looks like a job for DUN DUN DUN the S.A.S

Isn't it funny though how a few days earlier Iran weakened ties with the UK. Then this happened? I can see how people would be mad at us there so they go into the Embassy. But Students? Wasn't the protests a few years back mainly consisting of students wanting a change?

Either the ones who went in are a minority of students who like the regime or they aren't students.
