I wholeheartedly agree with you and personally believe we will see a nuclear weapon used in war sometime during the coming year. Very sad world we live in these days.
Unfortunately it won't be just one nuclear weapon used

Back on topic:
South China Sea is Chinese zone of influence, they have the power to take it, let them take it.

Nobody said a word when the US invaded, coerced, bullied countries for national interest.
I am no China or US supporter, I only dislike double standards.

It was inevitable. Hopefully no bombs get dropped but even I admit as I read the news every day it only seems more and more possible. Such a shame; we live on such a beautiful planet that's controlled by such ugly humans.

I agree, these people need to be taken down now.

I agree as well. The world lives with blinders on and locked inside their own little paradigm unaware what those on the hill and elsewhere, are doing.
We are on the brink of world change, be it natural or man made. We all feel it.

There is no cold war, just nations stating policies yet they STILL trade and market OPENLY with each other. Please change your title for this thread please before other people succumb to less intelligence syndrome which seems to be infecting many people here. K thanks bye

The US will never fight China militarily
Why bite the hand that feeds you?
Right now China funds the US war efforts, not only that but they can, in the blink of an eye, render the US dollar worthless. They will lose big but the US would sink to oblivion.

For one day, please use your energy to find one country or civilization who has helped or brought prosperity to more people than America.

Wealthy major powers, both past and present that have through gross size or length of timeline, have "helped" or "brought prosperity" to more. Now that's a long list!

Whenever the thread is about *country*, the thread itself is bursting with *country*-bashing.

This is my reply to another thread but it fits here as well.

My personal belief is that all of the sabre rattling (except that by Israel, they actually mean it) is meant to create the conditions required for a new cold war era. China cannot contend with their growing middle class and the growing list of demands that new class is making. They want to shut off their own people from the west in order to regain solid control.
Russia wants the respect it had under the communist regime.
Russia and China are tied economically, in terms of resources, and politically with Iran and Pakistan.
Europe and the U.S. also require the new cold war.
Guess what, we aren't going to pay China back! It isn't default if you have a moral obligation to withhold the funds for fear that they would be used to subvert the U.S., sponsor anti U.S. terrorism or propaganda, or *gasp* actually build militarily to take us on for real. No, in that instance it would just be irresponsible for us to pay China. Would also be bad to pay if we suddenly remembered that they aren't so great with human rights and the money would used to terrorize their own populace.
Powers in China understand this. Powers in the west understand this. I believe it is already agreed to and this is just a prearranged show to flip the switch. Globalism died in the 2008 crash. It just took a few years to get the obituary out. But, it's out now and all the powers are doing what they need to achieve what matters most to them.

I know India is going with the West after the rather heated bidding between Russia and the U.S. last fall.
Unclear what intentions Brazil has, but we would be idiots to not be making serious attempts to pull them in.

Unemployment will fall drastically. I do tend to think the Euro has to go but I am not sure on that one. U.S., Canada, Mexico, and the countries of Western Europe. That's our new focus and we will play nice with Japan and India. South America is undecided and the rest of the world is Authoritarian/and or/Islamic.

So be it.
I am as tired of the U.S. trying to run the world as the rest of the world is of the U.S. trying to run it.

I have never seen a posting cover so many things so perfectly and arrive at the actual truth behind all the drama.

Well Done

It will all be over by next June.

And there's the problem. Seeing yourself as being part of some world-running country. Do give it up already.

I like your reasoning but with all due respect, NEVER say NEVER. We are in a fluid relationship that is forever changing, no one can truly say they will never go toe-to-toe.

i think obama and the US government needs to shut their mouths! their idiots, they think because thier big millitary bullies who are technically advanced they cant pick a fight with who ever, well, all i can say is dont drag the rest of your allies into it like with the lies in the middle east, last thing we need is nuclear war! leave the fight to china, dont bud in because your only going to cause a bigger problem, Team America world police! in REAL life! except like said in the raelian message from the higgh ups, basically "the big allie will be the antagoniser for millitary nuclear war", and thats when they will intervene, for god sakes, they might have millitary might but they dont need to stir more trouble!

So did Obama declare a literal cold-war? Because the source you linked seems just about as credible as some of the things here on ATS

As for the world becoming a scarier place or being hell-bent on war, there's been war for well... the dawn of human civilization.

Anywhoozle...

edit on 29-11-2011 by theovermensch because: typo

Maybe these country's,and those in power in these country's could stop holding their hands out. I would think blowing yourself up,and collateral damage is just the same also. They have NO problem doing it to themselves, now do they? As long as The West believes the real estate is worth something, you will have those very Greedy Pakistanis, and Afghan's holding out their hands, all the while pulling the knife out of each others backs, and plunging them into the Wests. Your "brothers" are laughing at your gullibility...............

The Hopi elders said that the people of America will make war with those who possessed the first light of wisdom. It was the last prophesy before the Pillars of fire and End. Smoke 'em if you got 'em.

China is currently at war with China.

Not to mention that their entire economy relies heavily upon the US.

Their own high ranking military members have publically declared that China would have no chance if it went to war with the US, then other members try and threaten "imminent war"

It sounds to me like they cant make up their minds of what to do with this necessary evil (the US) and at the same time they're actively trying to nudge us off the top of the totem pole.

Albert Einstein said "I know not with what weapons WWIII will be fought, but WW IV will be fought with sticks and stones."

Think about it.....

Well then, those in Japan would have to differ with you, wouldn't they? They rely HEAVILY on the U.S. for defense,as does South Korea.

But who cares.....Let China "take" what they want, because you say so...........

Your statement on their economy relying entierly on the US is not factual.

Join the "Up to the minute market data" thread. I mean they are heavy in US bonds, but they could easily flood the market witht them just to ddisrupt the american economic system. They have been backing up their posititon with Euro bonds.

As for exports, that is a little more important, but alot more of chinese products are being sold domesticaly, they do have alot of people there you know.

It is americans who think that China depends on them, that really make the facts scewed.

They could easily continue on without American exports. India is right next door.

What would be great is if Congress would impose an embargo on Chinese goods, along with huge fines for corporations using Chinese labor. Bring the jobs back, employ Americans, etc. Wait, who am I kidding?
