Ishfahan Nuclear Wiki
The Nuclear Technology Center of Isfahan is a nuclear research facility that currently operates four small nuclear research reactors, all supplied by China. It is run by the AEOI.[17]
The Uranium Conversion Facility at Isfahan converts yellowcake into uranium hexafluoride. As of late October 2004, the site is 70% operational with 21 of 24 workshops completed. There is also a Zirconium Production Plant (ZPP) located nearby that produces the necessary ingredients and alloys for nuclear reactors.

Isfahan - Uranium conversion plant
Iran is building a plant at a nuclear research facility to convert yellowcake into three forms:
Hexafluoride gas - used in gas centrifuges
Uranium oxide - used to fuel reactors, albeit not the type Iran is constructing
Metal - often used in the cores of nuclear bombs. The IAEA is concerned about the metal's use, as Iran's reactors do not require it as fuel.

Almost immediately after the recent explosion at an Iranian military base all the usual US haters and apologists were accusing the US of involvement etc.....unfortunately for them even all official Iranian agencies insisted it was an accident and there was absolutely no reason at all to suspect US involvement.
Now I know it looks 'suspicious' in light of recent political posturing etc however let's wait until some actual FACTS come to light before issuing wild and unsubstantiated accusations and fear mongering.
ETA.
Even I must admit though, this looks a bit more that just 'suspicious'....let's hope it's nothing that could have serious consequences.edit on 28/11/11 by Freeborn because: Add ETA
The Revolutionary Guard said the accidental explosion occurred while military personnel were transporting munitions.
